Journey to Planar World

”When this stone hits the ground, the sparring begins. Are you ready?”

Charlie stood tall under the bright sky, holding a small stone in his hand. The 15-meter distance between him and Aishia was enough to give them room to fight.

”Yes.” Aishia nodded briefly.

As soon as Charlie confirmed her nod, he gently tossed the stone upwards. The stone drew a parabolic line through the air before landing on the ground.

*WHOOSH!*

Immediately afterwards, Aishia vanished from her standing position. In a fraction of a second, she appeared right in front of Charlie, her arm outstretched, trying to grab the collar of his shirt. Her movement was so fast that the wind she generated caused the grass around them to tremble.

”Physical Enchant.”

Charlie remained calm and strengthened his physique with Spirit Arts. Aishia wasn’t weak. They were bound by a soul contract, and that meant that every time he leveled up, Aishia’s strength also increased.

Putting irrelevant thoughts aside, he dodged Aishia’s hand while retreating.

*WHOOSH!*

*SHUA!* *SHUA!* *SHUA!*

Aishia closed the gap between them, launching a skillful attack. With a combination of feints, her hands and feet moved towards Charlie at a terrifying speed. The force behind a single punch would be enough to crush a truck-sized rock if it landed.

’Good, I’m slowly starting to adapt.’

However, Charlie could still smoothly avoid every attack.

*WHOOSH!*

Aishia suddenly changed her attack pattern. She retreated for a moment and created distance between them, then used Wind Spirit Arts to accelerate her movement, stirring up the environment as she charged forward again.

”Huft...”

With a deep breath, Charlie channeled a large amount of magical essence from within himself to enhance the effect of his physical enhancement and further sharpen his senses.

*WHOOSH!*

As Aishia approached him, Charlie could barely comprehend Aishia’s movements with his sharpened senses.

*SWOOSH!*

Suddenly, Aishia swung her palm towards him, but Charlie pushed it away and sidestepped her outstretched palm at the same time. He then aimed to throw Aishia off balance and used that momentum to lightly throw her forward.

”...!!!”

Aishia’s eyes widened, but gracefully she flipped in the air to deftly land on the ground, then turned to continue attacking once again.

On the other side of the courtyard, the spectators could only stare with their mouths agape.

”So fast…” Miku was amazed, trying to follow their movements with her eyes, but felt dizzy.

”Charlie-san and Aishia-san are really strong. I can barely see them move!” Yotsuba said with sparkling eyes.

”Don’t forget, this is just a sparring session. In other words, both of them are not serious! Really, my perspective on the world has completely changed.”

Itsuki, who always believed in science, felt the need to change her rigid mindset after experiencing the abnormal phenomena that befell her and her sisters.

”Really showing off. If one of them isn’t careful, they could destroy this house.” Trying to hide her admiration, Nino couldn’t help but comment.

”Maybe that’s why they’re doing it in the courtyard, Nino.” Ichika said with a smile.

The Nakano quintuplets watched the sparring while giving their opinions like commentators.

The sparring continued.

This sparring wasn’t just for practice, but also to test the limits of their new abilities.

*SHUA!*

Aishia launched a circular attack with her leg, sweeping low, trying to knock Charlie off his feet.

In response to this attack, Charlie jumped lightly, avoiding the sweep, but Aishia was already ready with a powerful punch towards his chest.

*BAM!*

Charlie raised his arm to block the punch, and a loud impact sound echoed. Although he managed to withstand the attack, the force behind it was enough to push him back a few steps, causing the ground beneath him to crack slightly.

”Amazing, Aishia! Keep fighting me!”

After uttering a sentence that could easily be misinterpreted as a masochist, with unexpected speed, Charlie ducked low, slid forward like a shadow, attacking with a straight punch towards Aishia.

*SHUA!*

However, Aishia gracefully twisted her body, avoiding the attack, and took advantage of the gap in Charlie’s defense to launch a counterattack.

Even so, Charlie managed to avoid that sudden attack by a hair’s breadth.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

Realizing that Aishia was constantly pressing him, Charlie matched Aishia’s speed, and in an instant they exchanged attacks with an intensity that was almost impossible for ordinary human eyes to follow.

Charlie stepped forward, his body moving like lightning. In almost the same time, Aishia attacked him with a rapid punch aimed at his chest.

*KA-BOOM!*

Charlie blocked the punch with his palm, creating a small boom in the air that signified the clash of their power.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

The two were engaged in a head-to-head confrontation. Charlie and Aishia launched punches, kicks, and feints at each other at a speed that was almost impossible for the eye to follow. The sound of air hitting and the rapid movement of feet sounded like a battle symphony.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

*SHUA!* *SHUA!* *SHUA!*

The fight continued. This time, both of them used more subtle techniques, avoiding large-scale attacks to prevent damage to the illusion formation protecting the house. Charlie attacked with swift movements utilizing his Wind Spirit Arts, confusing Aishia with several intricate footwork steps before trying to grab her wrist.

However, Aishia reacted quickly. She twisted her body, freeing her hand from Charlie’s grasp, and launched a punch aimed at his side. Charlie leaned his body to dodge, then retaliated with an elbow strike that narrowly missed Aishia.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

As they exchanged attacks, the intensity of the battle increased. Both moved with incredible speed, creating waves of air each time their attacks met or were dodged.

In between the fight, Charlie began to realize that his body was becoming more in sync with his increased strength. His movements became more coordinated, and his reactions became faster.

After several minutes of thrilling combat, Charlie, who was fully adapted, stopped the sparring.

”Enough, Aishia. Thanks for your hard work.”

”It’s okay. Compared to Charlie, I didn’t do much.”

Charlie and Aishia remained stable, they weren’t panting despite the intense fight. Then, they returned to the house with the Nakano quintuplets.

This time, the Nakano quintuplets and the Uesugi siblings were not allowed by Charlie to leave the house. There was no other alternative, the surviving residents chose to evacuate out of town after the Tokai’s Endless Night incident. Plus, there were police and military patrols going around.

There were too many events beyond common sense in Tokai City. Thus, the government officially evacuated civilians. Tokai City was emptied until an unknown time.

Ichika and the others only felt calm after knowing that their father was evacuated with other medical staff. They knew that this disaster wasn’t over yet, there were still two more villains who had not yet appeared.

Actually, they also wanted to evacuate with their father, but Charlie vetoed it.

The Abyssal Devourer’s target was the protagonist and heroine. If they followed the evacuation, it would surely involve the residents when the villains attacked. Hearing that, they gave up and could only obey Charlie’s arrangement.

Tokai City had become a dead city. It was a suitable battlefield for Charlie to unleash his full power without worrying about accidentally hurting others.

Days passed quickly. Finally, three days later arrived!
