Not Being a Trainer This Time

Speaking of this, Professor Sada showed a look of longing. It would be wonderful if she could travel to that time and space and see the Pokemon living in the past herself.

This has been her dream all along.

But she couldn’t do that, because she still had family here. She couldn’t abandon them and leave.

There is a certain possibility, but it’s really difficult to achieve, because currently Professor Sada knows nothing about the past world unless she can investigate it herself.

Naoki heard what Professor Sada meant and regretfully abandoned the idea.

Then he thought of Miraidon, Iron Thorns, those Paradox Pokemon from the future.

”What about those Pokemon from the future?” Naoki asked.

Recalling the descriptions of those Pokemon, could it be that someone has modified the Pokemon’s bodies, allowing them to achieve mechanical ascension?

However, regarding the future, Professor Sada isn’t very sure either.

At this moment, Professor Turo chimed in from behind.

”Future Pokemon are likely born in the era of technological explosion. According to my research, traces of artificial manufacturing can be found on the Pokemon Iron Valiant.”

”It may have been created by a mad scientist from the future who likes Gardevoir and Gallade as a bionic Pokemon.”

Listening to Professor Turo, is he establishing a connection with Iron Valiant?

Naoki was surprised. Iron Valiant’s personality is quite violent!

Seeming to understand what Naoki meant, Professor Turo smiled and said:

”Using some special methods, if you’re interested, Naoki, you can always come to the Area Zero Research Institute, and we’ll give you a detailed introduction then.”

With Koraidon here, Naoki can walk freely in the Paldea Giant Pit.

Moreover, someone from the Paldea League contacted them earlier.

Upon learning that Naoki had entered the Paldea Giant Pit before, the person immediately declared that from now on, Naoki could freely enter the Giant Pit without needing to apply for qualification from the Paldea League.

As for who that person was... of course, it was none other than the Paldea Region’s Chief Champion, Geeta.

After Geeta and Naoki met, Professor Sada and Professor Turo felt very surprised.

Therefore, they specifically made this call to tell Naoki the news that he can freely enter and exit the Paldea Giant Pit from now on.

Naoki: ”...”

Geeta trusts him that much? Isn’t she afraid he’ll abduct all the Pokemon in the Paldea Giant Pit?

Alright, he indeed won’t.

”Okay then, I’ll personally thank the Chief later.” Naoki nodded.

”Alright, that’s it for today. Next time if we get the chance, we can chat more about ancient Pokemon!” Professor Sada smiled and hung up the phone.

At the same time, Paldea League.

Geeta dialed Lono’s phone using her Rotom Phone, preparing to probe her thoughts.

While Lono was sitting at home in front of her computer, concentrating on editing a video.

The sudden ringing of the Rotom Phone placed beside her startled her.

When Lono saw the name of the caller, she was startled once more.

It was the Chief!

The Chief calling now—is she going to inspect her work?

However, Lono quickly realized it’s after hours.

Oh, no problem then.

The call connected, and Lono greeted Geeta cheerfully: ”Hello, hello, good afternoon! Chief!”

Geeta smiled slightly: ”Hello, Lono. Has your Gym challenge been going smoothly recently? Have you encountered any difficulties?”

”Smoothly!” Lono shook her head and said: ”Difficulties? Nope, everything is fine, the popularity of the Levincia Gym is soaring up like Eelektross leaping over the dragon gate!”

”That’s good.” Geeta then talked about the main topic: ”By the way, I heard from Grusha that you have a good relationship with Naoki, is that true?”

”Naoki?” Lono didn’t expect the Chief to suddenly switch to this topic. She didn’t react for a moment and didn’t know how to answer.

Geeta: ”Hmm? What’s wrong?”

”Nothing, nothing!” Lono hurriedly waved her hand: ”Naoki and I are indeed friends!”

”Friends indeed...” Geeta’s face showed a peculiar smile.

Lono: ”?”

The Chief seems a bit off today.

Just as she was about to ask what happened, Geeta shifted the topic abruptly.

”By the way, Lono, you’re almost nineteen this year, right?” Geeta asked.

Lono was a bit puzzled but still replied: ”Yeah, I just recently celebrated my eighteenth birthday, heading towards nineteen.”

”Time flies so fast! I remember when you first became the Gym Leader, you were only fourteen. Nineteen... less than four years younger than Naoki. Have you ever met someone you like?” Geeta asked.

Lono looked completely dumbfounded, a big question mark appeared above her head, the Chief was indeed acting strange.

”Chief, it’s still too early to talk about this!”

”Too early?” Geeta smiled and said: ”That’s true, it’s indeed a bit early for you, but it’s time for Naoki. I plan to introduce some suitable candidates to him for matchmaking. What do you think?”

”What?” Lono was taken aback, her face immediately showing a surprised expression, she instinctively said: ”Naoki probably isn’t that desperate yet, right?”

Geeta: ”Just trying out, besides, there are indeed a few people in the Paldea League who are quite suitable for Naoki, so I called today to ask for your opinions since you and Naoki are friends.”
