Not Being a Trainer This Time

In that case, Koraidon not only has completely integrated into modern society, but has also undergone significant changes.

If Professor Sada found out about this, she would definitely be very surprised.

Naoki could almost imagine Professor Sada’s expression and her astonished tone when she hears about this.

”What?! Koraidon, a Paradox Pokemon with such a fierce nature, actually took the initiative to comfort other Pokemon? That’s truly amazing!”

However, speak of the devil and the devil appears.

Naoki just finished washing the dishes when he received a video call from the Paldea Giant Pit.

The two professors deep in Zone Zero had also kept up with the times, switching to the more convenient Rotom Phones.

As the call connected, Professor Sada’s heroic face appeared on the screen.

She smiled and greeted Naoki: ”Long time no see, Naoki!”

”Long time no see, Professor!” Naoki replied with a smile: ”Is the research over at the Giant Pit going well?”

”Everything’s going well.” Professor Sada nodded.

Naoki looked behind Professor Sada but only saw Professor Turo, so he couldn’t help but ask: ”Where’s Arven? Has Arven returned to the surface?”

Professor Sada nodded slightly: ”Arven has gone to study at Paldea Academy. There are many peers there, and Arven will surely make new friends there. Even without our company, he won’t feel lonely.”

”Arven has already started attending school?”

Naoki suddenly felt that time flew by. He still remembered when he first met Arven; Arven was a little boy who was always silent and spoke very little.

”Yes!” Professor Sada nodded with a smile: ”But Arven is not very good at Pokemon battles. He is more interested in cooking than battling, perhaps influenced by you.”

Saying this, Professor Sada looked at Naoki, remembering how Naoki loved cooking, and Arven had stayed there for a while when he was younger.

Naoki: ”...”

This has nothing to do with him, because even without him, Arven would have been interested in cooking.

”By the way, Professor, why did you contact me today?” After a bit of small talk, Naoki began to ask.

Professor Sada shook her head and said: ”It’s nothing special, just checking if Koraidon and Flutter Mane are doing fine.”

Speaking of this, Naoki remembered how Koraidon had just comforted Cyclizar.

He told Professor Sada about what had just happened.

And as Naoki anticipated, Professor Sada showed a surprised and unexpected expression:

”What...?” After the shock, Professor Sada looked thoughtful: ”Interesting, Koraidon actually took the initiative to comfort other Pokemon. It seems it has fully integrated into the world we live in.”

Naoki nodded in agreement.

He recalled the descriptions and relationships of Koraidon and Cyclizar in the games.

Some say Koraidon is what Cyclizar looked like in the past, and Miraidon is what Cyclizar will look like in the future.

As for this theory, Naoki had yet to see any evidence of it in the world.

He pondered for a moment and curiously asked: ”By the way, Professor, have you noticed that Koraidon, Cyclizar, and Miraidon have similar appearances? Is there some connection between them?”

Hearing this, Professor Sada nodded thoughtfully: ”It’s possible. According to the research by me and Turo, it’s very likely that Cyclizar, living in modern times, is the result of Pokemon like Koraidon evolving naturally.”

”The appearance of Pokemon changes according to different environments. I think you know this, with the different regional forms of Pokemon.”

”Based on my investigation and some literature, the era Koraidon lived in had a high oxygen level in the atmosphere, and the air was filled with primitive violent energy. Perhaps it’s because of this that Koraidon, Flutter Mane, and Scream Tail Pokemon are so fierce, like untamed beasts.”

”Of course, your Koraidon and Flutter Mane are not like that.”

Naoki nodded thoughtfully.

Filled with primitive violent energy?

This reminded him of a specialized term—[Primal Reversion].

Primal Reversion is a special phenomenon that only occurs with the Legendary Pokemon Groudon and Kyogre.

It refers to the process where they revert to their original forms after absorbing sufficient natural energy.

Professor Sada continued:

”And as time progressed, the concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere decreased and the violent energy in the air began to dissipate. Those Pokemon then started to change towards the appearance of modern Pokemon.

Moreover, the birth of Berries provided them with enough nutrition, allowing these Pokemon to survive without hunting each other.

Afterwards, except for some enemy Pokemon, the relationships between different Pokemon gradually became harmonious.”

Upon hearing this, Naoki understood.

A bold idea suddenly popped into his mind.

”Professor, is there a possibility that Cyclizar could undergo Primal Reversion to become Koraidon?”

Just like Groudon and Kyogre.

”Primal Reversion?” Professor Sada noticed this unique term: ”A fitting description. I can only say that there’s a certain possibility, but I’m not very certain about the specifics since I’ve never formally encountered the world Koraidon lived in.”
