”Gaurgh...”

Cyclizar sat on the beach, letting out a sorrowful sigh.

Meanwhile, Naoki and Koraidon had gradually moved away from the shore.

Though Koraidon could swim, it couldn’t dive; staying underwater for a minute or two was fine, but even a Legendary Pokemon would drown if submerged for too long.

So, Naoki patted Koraidon’s head and said to it, ”Wait here for me, I’ll be back soon!”

”Aga-sizz!”

Koraidon knew it couldn’t be of much help, so it nodded its large head.

Naoki donned a diving suit and, with Slowpoke, dove into the sea.

The underwater world was a vast blue, with sunlight streaming through the surface, creating a sparkling scene below.

The seabed was filled with various corals and seaweed, with countless Water Type Pokemon swimming leisurely among them.

Love-shaped Alomomola, schools of Wishiwashi, white Wigletts, and Finneons emitting a gentle glow...

Naoki’s eyes swept over this underwater wonderland.

Shellder, a type of Pokemon often residing in coastal seabeds, cleverly used its ever-extended tongue to dig into the sand in search of food.

At night, they would hide in the holes they dug and sleep inside them.

So... to find Shellder, one should focus on the sand of the seabed.

Naoki carried Slowpoke on his back and continued to dive deeper.

During this time, he passed by a spectacular school of Wishiwashi.

The school, sensing an unfamiliar presence, scattered in fright.

Though large in number, they hadn’t reached the critical mass needed to form the ”Demon of the Sea,” so they still opted to flee when faced with danger.

Speaking of Wishiwashi, they are indeed intriguing Pokemon.

Individually, they are quite weak, considered food by many Pokemon, like Wailord, which is said to eat thirty tons of Wishiwashi in a day.

But when their numbers are sufficient, they organize into a massive formation to fend off enemies.

Legend has it that when Wishiwashi unite into this form, they wield a power worthy of the Sea Demon.

Even fierce Pokemon like Gyarados would flee in their presence.

Naoki took out his Rotom Phone and captured footage of the Wishiwashi school swimming in the azure waters.

After a while, realizing there was no threat, the school swam back, drifting around the area.

”Rotom, ask these Wishiwashi if there are any Shellders living around here,” Naoki instructed Rotom.

When Rotom Technology Company first developed the Rotom Phone, they specifically incorporated waterproof features, thus allowing it to function normally even underwater.

”Got it, Roto!”

Rotom responded, flying forward to find a Wishiwashi and relayed Naoki’s words to it.

The Wishiwashi were initially frightened but, upon hearing Rotom, they carefully examined the human and cautiously replied:

”&%@#...”

The Rotom Phone auto-decoded the response: [Yes, there are Shellders here, they’re all in the sand, Roto...]

Shellders typically wouldn’t harm Wishiwashi; the two were not natural enemies and maintained a relatively harmonious relationship, so the Wishiwashi had some awareness of the Shellders dwelling below.

”In the sand?” Naoki looked down at the seabed and nodded, ”Got it, thank you.”

He retrieved two raw eggs from his pocket and cracked them open.

The transparent egg whites floated away in the seawater.

Drawn by the scent, a few Wishiwashi cautiously approached and began to eat the egg whites and yolks.

Soon, more Wishiwashi were attracted to the scene.

The two eggs weren’t enough, so Naoki took out a small bottle of milk, opened it, and offered it to the Wishiwashi.

Now the Wishiwashi were no longer afraid of Naoki.

They gathered at the bottle’s opening, sipping the milk that flowed from it.

”Eat up, eat up!” Naoki smiled broadly as he watched.

Used to a diet of plankton and seaweed, the Wishiwashi had never tasted something so delicious, and their eyes sparkled.

Once they finished the bottle of milk, the Wishiwashi’s gaze toward Naoki changed dramatically.

Now, a few clever Wishiwashi started to lead the way.

The other Wishiwashi followed suit, forming a large school, gesturing for Naoki to follow.

Seeing this, Naoki was quite surprised: ”Are you going to lead me?”

The Wishiwashi school made sounds like the swirling of water.

Rotom: [Yes, Roto!]

Naoki hadn’t anticipated this turn of events, showing a look of amazement.

He followed the Wishiwashi school deeper, until reaching the seabed.

Here, the sand was white, and scattered light danced gently, casting a kaleidoscopic display.

Some Wigletts lived here, an alternate form of Diglett. They had long, thin white bodies, resembling sea eels.

As Naoki approached, the Wigletts timidly retreated into their hiding stones.

The Wishiwashi school didn’t stop, so Naoki continued to follow them further.
