He lost, defeated by the Pawmot despite having a type advantage, and many strategies had not even been put into action.

”I’m sorry, you didn’t pass the Thunder Trial.”

Naoki was used to this scene; he smiled, watching his sister Indeedee deliver Life Sheep Milk to the opponent.

”Well done, Venusaur, you did very well.” Yang comforted the Venusaur, who was feeling down after losing the battle.

The opponent was too unusual.

That Pawmot was so small, so cute, yet it had such immense strength in its body. Moreover, its speed far exceeded Venusaur’s.

”Do you want to continue?” Naoki looked at the two Trainers sent by Geeta in front of him.

Nanako instinctively shook her head, having witnessed the entire battle; she felt she had no chance of winning.

However, Yang nodded: ”Mr. Naoki, I want to continue the challenge, please let me think for a moment.”

”Okay.” Naoki had no objections.

Yang fell into deep thought.

Venusaur had already fallen; with the strength of his remaining Pokemon, he feared they were no match for that Pawmot either.

So what if he started with the other two Trials?

Yang suddenly thought of the various descriptions about the Grass Trial mentioned in the strategy guide.

The endlessly recovering Gogoat, the special ”Grass Sacred Sword,” the powerful Vine Whip...

Regarding the Grass Trial strategy, there was currently only one possible way to pass.

That was to use moves like Meditation, Dragon Dance, and Sword Dance to maximize the Pokemon’s abilities, and then attack the Gogoat with the strongest move.

If you can defeat it with one move, then Gogoat’s endless Grassy Terrain and super recovery lose their effect.

Besides that, there’s another way, which is to use Taunt to put Gogoat into a state of taunt, preventing it from using Grassy Terrain and Synthesis moves.

But those Gogoats are very special because, according to the forums, their Grassy Terrain is almost instantaneous; the moment the battle starts, the entire battleground turns into Grassy Terrain.

The opponent’s Pokemon has no opportunity to use Taunt.

In that case, the first method is the only option.

And right beside him, there was a Pokemon that met the requirement.

With this in mind, Yang opened his eyes and firmly said to Naoki, ”Mr. Naoki, I’ve made up my mind, I want to challenge the Grass Trial next.”

Grass Trial? Naoki looked at the Gogoat behind him and asked, ”Are you sure?”

”Yes.” Yang nodded.

”Alright then.” Naoki said, ”But unlike the other two trials, the battle mode for the Grass Trial is 3v3, and you can use three Pokemon. Once all the Gogoats lose their combat ability, you pass.”

”Three Pokemon?” Yang pondered thoughtfully and nodded, ”I understand, please start!”

Seeing the expression on the youth’s face, Naoki guessed he had thought of a counter-strategy.

He was somewhat curious about how Yang would challenge the Grass Trial.

The battle officially began.

Naoki’s Gogoat walked onto the battleground.

For the first battle, Yang sent out a Pokemon that surprised Naoki greatly.

A small body, covered in large, fluffy, soft cotton.

It was a Whimsicott, a Grass and Fairy Type Pokemon.

The battle began; Gogoat instantly released a Grassy Terrain that covered the whole battlefield.

Meanwhile, Yang ordered the Cottonee to use Tailwind.

Tailwind: A Flying Type move, which creates a tailwind for a period of time, increasing the speed of all allied Pokemon.

Seeing this, Naoki squinted his eyes. Tailwind? Interesting.

”Gogoat, Vine Whip!” In response, Naoki chose to break the enemy with force.

”Meee!”

Gogoat let out a cry, and two thick vine whips, as large as pythons, lashed out at incredible speed toward Whimsicott.

Witnessing this terrifying move, Whimsicott let out a startled cry, and the next moment, the two vine whips ensnared it, crossing around it.

Just as the vine whips were about to crush Whimsicott, it took advantage of its small size to squeeze out from the gap.

Seeing this situation, Yang seized the opportunity to command, ”Whimsicott, use Sunny Day!”

Whimsicott exerted its efforts; with Tailwind’s effect, its body wavered around the field like a dandelion.

At first, Naoki didn’t know what Yang intended by sending out Whimsicott.

But with Sunny Day’s activation, he instantly realized.

Yang was setting up an advantageous battle environment for the upcoming Pokemon!

Realizing this, Naoki immediately ordered, ”Gogoat, don’t give it the chance, use Leaf Blade!”

”Meee!”

Upon receiving the instruction, Gogoat unleashed a torrent of Grass Energy from its mouth, and almost instantly, a massive Grass Sacred Sword formed.

In the next second, Gogoat shot out like an arrow, defeating the Whimsicott using Sunny Day in an instant.

Yang’s heart jumped to his throat; he looked nervously towards the sky.

The sunlight gradually intensified, the temperature began to rise, and golden rays of sunlight showered the ground.

Seeing this, Yang’s heart leaped for joy.

Yes! Sunny Day succeeded!
