Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Miss Lili stepped forward to comfort the assistant. ”Don’t panic. In fact, the moment Zhao Rong’s private yacht encountered those Somali pirates at sea, he already knew someone had set an elaborate plot for us.”

Yu Lan stepped forward and wiped the tears from the assistant’s face, saying, ”Assistant, you underestimate our hero, Zhao Rong. When he led us ashore, he’d already discovered that these so-called primitive cannibals were just actors hired by the villains.”

Xuelian stepped forward, smiling at the assistant. ”And the reason Zhao Rong didn’t expose them was so he could turn their own plan against them, waiting until the very end to capture all of them in one fell swoop.”

Hearing this, it finally dawned on the assistant. So, Big Brother Zhao Rong had known the truth all along! The reason he kept it from everyone and went along with the villains was to lure the enemy in deeper before capturing them all.

At this thought, the assistant wiped the tears from her face and laughed. She looked at Zhao Rong and the three beautiful women before him, saying, ”So, not only are you all alive, but you’ve been secretly outwitting the enemy this whole time. You’ve already lured them deep into your trap, and they’ve completely fallen for it.”

After speaking, the assistant looked at Zhao Rong curiously and asked, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, how did you figure out those Somali pirates were fake?”

Zhao Rong smiled slightly and explained, ”Real Somali pirates are emaciated and barefoot, and their clothes are tattered. But the ones who intercepted our yacht? They were all well-fed, wore sneakers, and spoke American English. It was obvious they were just Black men hired from the United States to pose as pirates.”

Hearing this, the assistant gave Zhao Rong a thumbs-up in admiration. ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, that’s incredible! You deduced the pirates were fake just from their clothing and language.”

Then, the assistant asked curiously again, ”But Big Brother Zhao Rong, how did you figure out that the primitive cannibals were just extras hired by the villains?”

Zhao Rong opened the Toutiao app and clicked on a profile he followed. The account was called ”Hengdian Extras.” After opening the profile, Zhao Rong immediately found several group photos of the account’s owner with other people who made a living as extras in Hengdian. To the assistant’s utter astonishment, the people in these photos looked exactly like the ”primitive cannibals” they had encountered earlier.

The assistant’s eyes widened, and she stared at Zhao Rong with her mouth agape. ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, so you found photos of these extras on social media! No wonder you saw through their tricks at a glance.”

Zhao Rong smiled, his expression relaxed. ”There’s no such thing as a perfect crime. Villains always leave a trail. As long as you observe carefully and pay attention to the details, you can see through any plot.”

As the assistant listened, she was filled with profound admiration, but another question sparked her curiosity. She asked Zhao Rong, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, I have one more question. After we entered the thatched hut, how did you realize it was a trap set by the villains?”

Zhao Rong pointed to the large, blasted-flat crater nearby. ”If it were truly a hut built by primitives, there wouldn’t be any modern elements inside,” he explained. ”But after we went in, I found not only wire but also a sportswear tag.”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong took the tag he had picked up inside the hut from his pocket and handed it to the assistant.

When the assistant saw the label read ”Adi King,” she couldn’t help but stare in surprise. ”Damn,” she said, ”it looks like the workers who built this hut were pretty poor, wearing a knock-off brand like Adi King.”

Zhao Rong continued, ”And that’s not even the worst of it. While I was lying down to sleep, I found a used condom in a corner of the hut.”

Hearing this, the assistant burst out laughing. ”Holy shit,” she exclaimed, ”the workers who built these huts were getting it on in here?”

Zhao Rong nodded. ”So, based on all these clues, I figured out that our enemies had lured us here as part of a larger scheme. They planned to strike in the dead of night. Initially, I thought they might just set the hut on fire, since I could smell gasoline and some kind of cleaning solvent. But I never expected them to be so ruthless as to come at us with grenades, detonators, explosive packs, and rocket launchers.”

After saying this, Zhao Rong prepared to advance with his assistant, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian. They intended to capture the four villains and torture them to force out the identity of their boss.

However, just as Zhao Rong’s group was about to move in, the four villains suddenly popped open a bottle of champagne and began to celebrate.

The skinny one chuckled as he opened the champagne. ”Talk about a windfall! We’ve finally killed Zhao Rong, the untouchable badass of Xijing City!”

The fat one held up a champagne flute, waiting for the skinny one to pour her a glass. She laughed and said, ”After that barrage of grenades, explosives, rockets, and detonators, Zhao Rong must have been blown to pieces. All we have to do now is go find a body part, take it back for a DNA test to prove we killed him, and then we can collect our reward from the boss.”

The short one even wiggled his hips, dancing as he celebrated. ”Everyone in the underworld said Zhao Rong was the top master in Xijing City and that no one could kill him. But we performed a miracle today! We didn’t just kill Zhao Rong; we also killed his master-level assistant and those three Black Widows—Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian!”

With that, the four of them drank their champagne and began to celebrate their victory.
