Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 486: Chapter 447: Human Evolution Video Display and Genetic Code Detection Display

Seeing the trio’s disbelief, Zhao Rong immediately took out his phone and bought an item from the Paradise Shopping Cart called the ”Human Evolution Video Display.” He then showed them the video, which depicted the process of human evolution.

When the assistant saw that there was a period in human evolution where everyone was a cannibal, she was so shocked she could only stare, dumbfounded.

Yu Lan asked incredulously, ”Zhao Rong, are you saying that all humans were cannibals during that period? Surely there must have been some who didn’t eat people...”

Zhao Rong shook his head, pointed at the dozens of cannibals before them, and said to Yu Lan, ”Initially, when humans had just evolved from apes to early humans, our population was very small—perhaps only a few dozen individuals. I think it’s highly likely that these very cannibals are our direct ancestors.”

Xuelian looked skeptical. ”You must be joking, Zhao Rong. How could we possibly be descendants of these cannibals?”

Hearing everyone’s disbelief, Lili stepped in to explain. ”What you don’t realize is that we’ve accidentally traveled back to the Cretaceous period. So, this era doesn’t just have dinosaurs; it also has our ancestors—the cannibals.”

Everyone was stunned by Lili’s words. The assistant stepped forward, pointed at the cannibals on the ground, and challenged Zhao Rong, ”Zhao Rong, what proof do you have that these cannibals are our ancestors?”

Yu Lan and Xuelian stood behind her, chiming in, ”That’s right! Prove that these cannibals are our ancestors.”

Left with no choice, Zhao Rong took out his phone again, opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app, and bought a machine called the ”Genetic Code Test Display.” He immediately used it to conduct a genetic test on all the primitive humans lying on the ground.

After testing the primitive humans, he then performed the same test on the assistant, Yu Lan, and Xuelian. The results were startling. Among the group of primitive humans, Zhao Rong discovered one individual who was the common ancestor of all six billion people on Earth. He was too stunned to speak.

He handed the Genetic Code Test Display to Lili. ”Lili, you’re not going to believe this. Among this group, one of them is the direct progenitor of all six billion people on the planet.”

Lili was utterly astounded. She hurriedly asked, ”Zhao Rong, which one of these cannibals is the direct progenitor of six billion people?”

Zhao Rong pointed to the cannibal leader on the ground. ”This one. He is the common progenitor of all six billion people on Earth.”

With that, Zhao Rong showed the cannibal leader’s genetic data to the assistant, Yu Lan, and Xuelian. When they saw the display confirmed that this man was indeed the common ancestor of all humanity, they immediately untied him and helped him to his feet.

But as soon as the cannibal leader was untied and helped up, he fell to his knees in terror, begging for mercy. ”Why did you untie only me and help me up? Are you going to roast me over the fire alone?”

Seeing the leader kneel, Zhao Rong quickly helped him up again. ”Ancestor,” he said, trying to explain, ”you don’t understand. You are the common ancestor of six billion people.”

Hearing this, the cannibal leader stared blankly at Zhao Rong. ”What kind of trick is this? How could I have six billion descendants?”

Seeing that the cannibal leader couldn’t grasp the scientific explanation, Zhao Rong took out his phone and played a video for him. After the leader watched the video, understanding finally dawned on him.

The cannibal leader’s eyes widened. He looked at Zhao Rong and his companions and said, ”So... you are my grandson’s grandson’s grandsons.”

Zhao Rong nodded. ”Now that you understand that humans are constantly evolving, I hope you will lead your tribe to abandon the wicked habit of cannibalism. You should switch to farming or herding instead.”

With that, Zhao Rong gave the cannibal leader various seeds for wheat, rice, sorghum, and millet. Then he added, ”If you want to continue evolving, you must master tools and fire, and you must change your diet.”

The cannibal leader nodded immediately. ”You people from the future... I’m desperate to know what your world is like.”

Seeing the leader’s curiosity about the world of 2018, Zhao Rong took out his phone again and played another video for him. ”Leader, watch this carefully. This is the human world, hundreds of millions of years in the future.”

When the cannibal leader saw that the future world had no forests or grasslands, only reinforced concrete everywhere, he couldn’t help but cry. Tears streamed down his face as he spoke. ”The future world should have more forests, grasslands, and animals... but all I see are buildings.”

Realizing the leader had misunderstood, Zhao Rong quickly opened Tencent Video and played a nature documentary for him. ”Leader, you’ve got the wrong idea,” he said. ”Watch this clip. You’ll see that our world doesn’t just have concrete; we also have all kinds of grasslands, forests, and animals.”

But when the cannibal leader saw that the future world had no dinosaurs, only much smaller mammals, he said sorrowfully, ”Did all the dinosaurs go extinct in the future?”

”Yes,” Zhao Rong confirmed. ”In the future, the dinosaurs are completely extinct. It was due to their immense size and the massive explosion from an asteroid impact.”

Hearing this, the cannibal leader asked curiously, ”What about crocodiles and pandas? Do they go extinct too?”

Zhao Rong shook his head. ”No, crocodiles and pandas didn’t go extinct. They still exist in the world of 2018. Pandas are very rare, though.”

After Zhao Rong and the cannibal leader had talked for seven or eight hours, the leader’s questions were finally answered.

Then, the cannibal leader warmly invited Zhao Rong’s group to his village. ”Since you’ve all come from the future,” he said, ”I invite you to see what the home of your ancestor looks like.”

With that, the cannibal leader walked ahead, leading them toward his tribe’s settlement.
