Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

When Zhao Rong heard that the tycoon before him, Wang Xiaopeng, intended to give him an island in the Pacific Ocean, he was so shocked he was rendered speechless. Looking at Wang Xiaopeng, he said in disbelief, ”Boss, that’s incredibly generous of you… But I feel that all I did was prove your daughter is interested in men, that her sexual orientation is normal, and that she’s capable of falling in love with a man. There’s no need to reward me with an island in the Pacific for such a minor thing…”

Before Zhao Rong could finish, Wang Xiaopeng took the Pacific island ownership certificate, issued by the United Nations, from his bag and handed it to him. ”Young hero, there’s something you don’t understand. I had my daughter, Wang Guihua, late in life. She is the apple of my eye. However, when I discovered that my daughter, already in her twenties, showed no interest in men and didn’t even have a boyfriend, I immediately suspected there was something wrong with her orientation. Because of this, I couldn’t eat, drink, or sleep. As a man with traditional values, I absolutely cannot accept my daughter being a lesbian…”

Zhao Rong returned the United Nations-issued island ownership certificate to Wang Xiaopeng. ”Boss, your worries are unnecessary. After all, in Huaxia, most people are quite normal. I just pursued your daughter; I didn’t accomplish any earth-shattering feat. Therefore, you don’t need to reward me. Please, take the island back…”

Seeing Zhao Rong decline the reward, Wang Xiaopeng revealed a shocking secret. ”Young hero Zhao Rong, you don’t know this, but when my daughter was eighteen, she was diagnosed by a hospital. She was what they call a ’herbivorous girl,’ naturally indifferent to both men and women—to both sexes. To change her from a herbivorous girl into a normal woman, I took her to the most famous hospitals in the world for treatment and corrective therapy. But no matter how much money I spent, I couldn’t cure this genetic defect she was born with.

”Just when I was about to give up, I met your Chairman. After I told him about my anguish, he immediately slammed his hand on the table and told me he had a wonder-worker under his command named Zhao Rong. He assured me that if you pursued my daughter, you could turn this herbivorous girl, who was indifferent to both sexes, into a normal woman—one who would be interested in men and willing to fall in love, marry, and have children.

”At first, I didn’t believe the Chairman’s words; I even laughed at him. I had already taken my daughter to the most advanced hospitals in America for treatment, yet she couldn’t be cured. And you, Zhao Rong, you’re not particularly tall or handsome. If you could ’correct’ my daughter, it would be like the sun rising in the west. But I never expected that you would actually complete this impossible mission. So, given your enormous contribution to our family, I must reward you properly. Zhao Rong, if one Pacific island isn’t enough for your vacations, I’m willing to give you two more of my artificial entertainment islands, located at the Cape of Good Hope in Africa.”

When Zhao Rong heard the tycoon Wang Xiaopeng reveal the true nature of the situation, he immediately looked toward the Chairman. Zhao Rong had originally thought the Chairman had given him a simple task of pursuing a girl. He never imagined that the mission was actually the arduous task of saving a young woman with a congenital genetic issue.

Just as Zhao Rong opened his mouth to question the Chairman about why he hadn’t been told about the mission’s difficulty beforehand, the Chairman, seemingly aware he was in the wrong, immediately took a very strange key from his pocket. ”Zhao Rong, the reason I didn’t tell you the truth initially was that I was afraid you wouldn’t accept the mission. Now that you’ve completed this impossible task, I’ve decided to reward you handsomely.”

With that, the Chairman handed the oddly shaped key to Zhao Rong.

Looking at the key, the likes of which he had never seen before, Zhao Rong asked, ”Chairman, what machine is this key for? It looks so strange…”

The Chairman smiled and pointed to a private jet outside. ”This key is for my private jet.”

Incredulous, Zhao Rong asked, ”Chairman, are you telling me you’re giving me your private jet as a reward?”

The Chairman nodded, his eyes sparkling as he looked at Zhao Rong with deep meaning. ”Zhao Rong, because you completed this task so brilliantly and brought me closer to my good buddy Wang Xiaopeng, I’m not only giving you my private jet, but I’m also giving you this lifetime free fuel card. With this card, you can refuel the plane for free, for life, anywhere in the world.”

When Zhao Rong understood that the Chairman was indeed rewarding him with a private jet and a lifetime free fuel card, he said, astonished, ”Chairman, I think your reward is too extravagant…”

The Chairman shook his head, insisting, ”Zhao Rong, today, in front of my good friend Wang Xiaopeng, I must give you this private jet. This is how I show how much I value and cultivate my employees.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong still tried to politely decline. ”Chairman, I remember you only have one private jet. If you give it to me, what will you fly?”

The Chairman chuckled, then took out his order form with Boeing and showed it to Zhao Rong. ”Honestly, I’ve been wanting to upgrade from my small, Brazilian-made private jet to a large, American-made Boeing 737 for a while now. So today, I’m taking this opportunity to give my small jet to you. You must accept it. If you don’t, then I won’t have a reason to get a new one.”

Saying this, the Chairman forcibly stuffed the jet keys into Zhao Rong’s hands.

Forced to accept, Zhao Rong took the keys and said, ”Chairman, even if you give me your private jet, I don’t know how to fly it. It would just sit at home and rust…”

At these words, the Chairman snapped his fingers. ”Pilot, come over here.”

A very tall and handsome American man walked in. The Chairman pointed to him and told Zhao Rong, ”This man’s name is Jack. He used to fly F-16 fighter jets in the United States, and I hired him for a hefty sum to fly private jets. Since I’m getting a new plane, this pilot, Jack, will be your personal pilot from now on.”

Upon hearing this, Jack addressed Zhao Rong in fluent Chinese, ”Hello, Master. I’m pleased to be at your service.”

Looking at the tall, handsome pilot before him, Zhao Rong felt a wave of inadequacy. ”Chairman,” he said, feeling the pinch, ”even if you make him my personal pilot, I don’t have the money to pay his salary…”

Zhao Rong said this for two reasons. First, a pilot’s salary is exceptionally high, especially for a private pilot—the pay is practically limitless. Second, although Zhao Rong was a billionaire, he was keeping his cash in the bank, planning to establish a foundation to save lives and help those in need, such as the poor, the disabled, children, orphans, and the elderly.

Listening to Zhao Rong’s concerns, the Chairman immediately put his mind at ease. ”Zhao Rong, you don’t need to worry about that. I have a special salary card for Jack, and I will deposit his salary into his account on time every month.”

Relieved, Zhao Rong thanked him, ”Thank you, Chairman. But if Jack is flying for me, then who will fly for you?”

The Chairman chuckled and snapped his fingers again. ”Don’t worry. Although Jack won’t be flying for me anymore, I’ve already hired another pilot from Russia at great expense. His name is Nicholas. He used to fly an Su-35 fighter jet and has participated in several major dogfights, so he’s very experienced and his flying skills are superb.”

Zhao Rong looked from Nicholas to Jack, his admiration for the Chairman growing. ”Chairman, you’re incredible. You managed to poach an F-16 pilot from the US and an Su-35 pilot from Russia. You’re truly a top-tier tycoon.”

The Chairman chuckled, puffing on his cigar. ”Money makes the world go ’round. As long as you pay these pilots a high enough salary, you can get them to come and serve us people of Huaxia.” With that, the Chairman laughed.

As he laughed, Wang Xiaopeng once again pressed the gift of the Pacific island upon Zhao Rong, adding on the two man-made entertainment islands. ”Young hero, since you’ve accepted the Chairman’s private jet, you must also accept my reward: the Pacific island and the two artificial entertainment islands at the southern tip of the Cape of Good Hope. If you accept the Chairman’s reward but refuse mine, are you looking down on me, Wang Xiaopeng? Are you discriminating against me?”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong had no choice but to reluctantly accept Wang Xiaopeng’s reward.

Just as Zhao Rong stood there, holding the private jet keys in his left hand and the United Nations-issued island ownership certificates in his right, his phone rang with calls from both Lili and the beautiful Wang Guihua at the same time.
