Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

After returning to their dorm, the assistant crouched by the door and stealthily peered outside. When he saw the three women go upstairs and return to their own room, he breathed a huge sigh of relief. He then turned to Zhao Rong and asked, ”Brother Zhao Rong, are you sure there are no issues with the membership cards we just copied?”

Holding the membership card copier, Zhao Rong patted his chest confidently. ”Absolutely none,” he assured him.

The assistant stepped forward, took the membership card copier from Zhao Rong, and asked with great interest, ”Brother Zhao Rong, where did you buy this thing? How does it work?”

”I bought it from that amazing website, of course—Paradise Shopping Cart,” Zhao Rong explained. ”As for how it works, the manual says you just scan a membership card on its display. It then creates a perfect, one-hundred-percent identical copy.”

Hearing this, the assistant’s interest was piqued. He looked at Zhao Rong and said mysteriously, ”Brother Zhao Rong, since this copier you bought from Paradise Shopping Cart is so incredible, why don’t we go to the Red Romantic Spa Center? We could try copying one of their VIP Gold Cards…”

The Red Romantic Spa Center is the biggest, most impressive, and most exclusive spa in all of Xijing City, he thought. It’s famous for being expensive. Just walking in for a quick bath and some basic services costs thousands, if not tens of thousands. But if you have one of their VIP Gold Cards, you can enjoy anything inside for free.

Hearing the assistant’s suggestion, Zhao Rong yawned sleepily. ”It’s so late. Let’s just get some sleep. We can try another day when we have time...”

But the assistant was eager to go. ”Come on, Brother Zhao Rong, let’s just go try it now! It would be awkward during the day, but it’s much easier to move around at night. Plus, the three ladies will never find out.”

Unable to refuse the assistant’s persistent coaxing, Zhao Rong had no choice but to follow him out the door. They hailed a taxi and soon arrived at the Red Romantic Spa Center—the largest, most luxurious, and most exclusive spa in Xijing City.

The moment they stepped inside, a handsome young attendant approached with slippers. ”Welcome, gentlemen. Please have a seat and change your shoes.” As he spoke, the attendant helped Zhao Rong and the assistant put on the slippers.

Seeing such excellent service, Zhao Rong couldn’t help but nod in approval. ”This really is a top-tier spa. The service certainly lives up to the reputation.”

The assistant’s eyes, meanwhile, were glued to the various beautiful women in uniform walking past. ”Hey, attendant,” he remarked, ”you’ve got a lot of pretty ladies working here…”

The attendant smiled. While handing them bathrobes, he began his pitch. ”That’s one of our signature features, of course. Gentlemen, here is our menu of service packages for you to look over.”

When the assistant saw the prices, his jaw dropped. The top-tier package was listed at 8,888,888... Even the cheapest option was over 80,000. He sucked in a sharp breath, looking at the attendant. ”These prices are insane! I think we’ve come to the wrong place.”

After helping them into their robes, the attendant simply smiled. ”Actually, if you have a VIP Gold Card, all of these packages are complimentary.”

Hearing the word ”complimentary,” the assistant’s interest was instantly rekindled. ”A VIP Gold Card? How do you get one? How much is it?”

At the mention of money, the attendant shook his head. ”I’m sorry, sir. A VIP Gold Card isn’t something you can buy.”

The assistant was confused. ”Then how do you get one? You’re telling me money can’t buy it?”

The attendant nodded. ”That’s right. The VIP Gold Card is not for sale. Here at the Red Romantic Spa Center, only our most esteemed guests receive one as a gift.”

”So, what makes someone an esteemed guest?” Zhao Rong asked curiously. ”How do you get gifted a VIP Gold Card?”

The attendant pulled out a register and pointed to the members listed inside. ”Only guests who have spent over one billion yuan and have been patrons in good standing for more than ten years are eligible to receive a complimentary VIP Gold Card from our spa.”

Hearing this, both Zhao Rong and his assistant were flabbergasted. They stared at each other, utterly speechless. Those requirements are insane! An ordinary person could never become a VIP Gold Card member at the Red Romantic Spa Center.

Just as they were about to back away, daunted by the conditions, the assistant suddenly pointed to a man’s photo in the register. ”Brother Zhao Rong, look! Doesn’t that guy with the VIP Gold Card look a little like the Chairman?”

Zhao Rong took a closer look and his eyes widened in shock. ”Holy crap! He doesn’t just *look like* the Chairman—he *is* the Chairman!”

The assistant then pointed to a name next to the Chairman’s. ”This guy’s name is Wang Xiaopeng. Why does that sound so familiar?”

Zhao Rong was even more stunned. ”No way,” he said in disbelief. ”Could there really be such a coincidence in the world?”

Suddenly, it clicked for the assistant. He looked at Zhao Rong and exclaimed, ”Brother Zhao Rong, isn’t Wang Xiaopeng that tycoon from Xijing City the Chairman was talking about?”

Zhao Rong nodded. ”Yeah. The whole reason we’re at the women’s university on this mission for the Chairman is because of a job Wang Xiaopeng gave him.”

A flicker of unease crossed the assistant’s face. ”Brother Zhao Rong, if we get a VIP card and start using the services here, what if we run into the Chairman and Wang Xiaopeng? Wouldn’t that be incredibly awkward?”

Zhao Rong thought for a moment. It seemed too unlikely. ”The world isn’t *that* small, is it? What are the chances we’d actually bump into them?”

While Zhao Rong and his assistant were talking, the attendant who had been serving them so patiently suddenly grew irritated. His friendly, attentive demeanor vanished, replaced by a sneer. ”Are you two paupers going to pay for anything or not? If you don’t have the money, then get out of the Red Romantic Spa Center and stop wasting my time!”

It turned out that the attendant’s intuition had initially told him Zhao Rong must be a billionaire. But after observing them and listening to their conversation, he realized they were just a couple of working-class stiffs who slaved away for others. Looking down his nose at them, his attitude flipped, and he started insulting them.

Seeing the attendant’s drastic change in attitude, Zhao Rong confronted him directly. ”You were perfectly polite a moment ago. Why the sudden rudeness?”

The attendant scoffed unapologetically. ”We attendants make our money from the commissions and tips when customers buy service packages. But you two? It’s obvious you’re just a couple of wage slaves. Forget buying a package, you probably can’t even afford a cup of tea here. Get lost. The Red Romantic Spa Center doesn’t welcome paupers like you.”

Zhao Rong now understood completely. The attendant had been friendly because he thought they were rich, and now that he assumed they were poor, his real, nasty attitude had come out. Deciding it was time to put the snob in his place, Zhao Rong adopted a mysterious air. ”You say we’re paupers?” he said slowly. ”Fine. Then let me show you something. I’ll just take out one of your spa’s VIP Gold Cards…”

Hearing this, the attendant burst out laughing. ”You?” he mocked. ”If a pauper like you can produce a VIP Gold Card, I’ll eat the stinky socks right off both of your feet!”

Hearing the attendant’s arrogant challenge, Zhao Rong turned and whispered to his assistant, ”Let’s use the copier to make a VIP Gold Card for this place right now. We’ll make this guy eat our socks. What do you think?”

The assistant nodded, grinning with delight. ”Let’s do it! That’ll teach him for judging people by their clothes and looking down on us working guys.”

After his initial excitement, a worried look crossed the assistant’s face. ”But Brother Zhao Rong,” he said, ”didn’t you say the copier needs a real card to scan before it can make a duplicate? We don’t have a real VIP Gold Card. What are we going to use?”

In response to his assistant’s concern, Zhao Rong simply pointed to a picture of a VIP Gold Card on a nearby poster. ”I forgot to mention, I used the spa’s free Wi-Fi to give the copier a little upgrade. Now, it just needs to scan the image on this poster to duplicate a perfectly identical VIP Gold Card.”

The assistant was stunned. ”Brother Zhao Rong,” he said in disbelief, ”this copier you bought from Paradise Shopping Cart… the tech inside it is just on another level, isn’t it?”

Before the assistant could even finish his sentence, Zhao Rong had already aimed the copier at the poster and successfully created a perfect replica of the Red Romantic Spa Center’s VIP Gold Card.
