Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Before the assistant and the two beauties could finish speaking, a man holding a gun fell from a nearby high-rise building. Next to him lay a sewer manhole cover, split in two.

Zhao Rong wiped the sweat from his forehead, walked over to the gunman, and said, ”Jeez, good thing I have sharp eyes and spotted this guy. Otherwise, the four of us might have already become his latest victims.”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong checked the gunman for a pulse. He had hoped to get some information from him, but to his disappointment, the man had already died from the fall.

The assistant approached, looked at the dead gunman, and asked, ”This guy… couldn’t be part of the same crew that kidnapped the Chairman and Wang Xiaopeng, could he?”

Zhao Rong thought for a moment before replying, ”They must be. Why else would he be hiding on a skyscraper with a gun, trying to shoot us?” He began searching the gunman’s body for clues and, after a moment, found a work badge. On it, the words were clearly printed: Blackheart Limited Company.

At that moment, Lili stepped forward, read the badge, and said to Zhao Rong, ”Brother Zhao Rong, Blackheart Limited Company is the third-largest financial conglomerate in Xijing City. Their boss, Hong Ju, has always been competing with my father. However, because his company could never beat my father’s Hongda Company, they resorted to this dirty trick. They kidnapped my father first and then planned to kill me with a sniper. That way, our Hongda Company would have no successor and would no longer be able to compete with them.”

Hearing Lili’s analysis, it all clicked for Zhao Rong. ”So it was Blackheart Limited Company,” he said. ”Alright, let’s infiltrate their headquarters now and find the Chairman and Wang Xiaopeng.” As soon as he finished speaking, a thought struck him as odd. ”If they have a grudge against the Chairman, why would they kidnap Wang Xiaopeng?”

Wang Guihua explained from the side, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you might not know this, but my father, Wang Xiaopeng, and Miss Lili’s father, the Chairman, formed a powerful alliance. They created a strong financial group specifically to compete against Hong Ju, the boss of Blackheart Limited Company.”

”I see,” Zhao Rong said, understanding now. ”That Hong Ju from Blackheart Limited Company is truly vicious. He’s clearly trying to retaliate against the Chairman and Wang Xiaopeng, hoping to crush them both in one fell swoop. That’s why he resorted to this despicable plan to kidnap them both.”

With that said, Zhao Rong leaped into the Ferrari the assistant was driving. He opened the Gaode Maps app, entered ”Blackheart Limited Company,” and instructed, ”Follow this navigation. Drive to Blackheart Limited Company.”

The assistant took off, driving the red Ferrari sports car toward their destination at an incredible speed, constantly overtaking other cars. On the nearby roads, no other vehicle could match them. While driving, the assistant said excitedly to Zhao Rong, ”Brother Zhao Rong, I’ve only ever seen people drive Ferraris on TV. Actually driving one… this is absolutely exhilarating!” As he spoke, he floored the accelerator again, overtaking two more cars.

But just as the assistant was savoring the thrill, a McLaren suddenly pulled up alongside them, its driver looking for a challenge. Using a megaphone, the McLaren driver shouted at Zhao Rong’s Ferrari, ”Don’t think you’re the fastest driver in the city just because you’re in a Ferrari! I’m telling you, I, Zhou Xiaoer, am the best and fastest driver in this city!”

With that, Zhou Xiaoer wrenched the wheel and sped past them.

Seeing the McLaren driver’s arrogance, Zhao Rong grew angry and ordered, ”Assistant, step on it! Let this guy see that we’re not to be trifled with!”

However, due to the assistant’s limited driving skills, he couldn’t overtake Zhou Xiaoer no matter what he did. The arrogant McLaren driver mocked them through his megaphone, ”You bunch of country bumpkins! You think you can race me just because you’ve got a Ferrari? No one in this city can drive faster than me!”

When Zhou Xiaoer’s taunts became unbearable, Zhao Rong had enough. ”Assistant, switch with me!” he commanded. ”I’ll take the wheel. I refuse to believe this Ferrari can’t outrun his McLaren!”

Hearing this, the assistant and Zhao Rong quickly swapped places.

As soon as Zhao Rong got behind the wheel, he realized the Ferrari was much harder to handle than a normal car and was very difficult to control. When the McLaren driver saw the Ferrari falling further behind with no sign of catching up, he continued his mockery. ”You bumpkins want to overtake me? Keep dreaming!” As he spoke, he slammed on the gas, and his engine roared violently.

The assistant, now in the passenger seat, saw that Zhao Rong couldn’t handle the car and said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, if you can’t drive it, just let me take over. I’m not a great driver, but I’m still a little better than you are.”

Zhao Rong knew that with the assistant driving, they would never beat Zhou Xiaoer. So, he opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app on his phone and typed ”autonomous driving program” into the search bar. A flood of sellers instantly appeared. With no time to haggle or read manuals, he immediately selected ”Purchase.”

Since this is an autonomous driving program, once I buy it, my car will definitely enter autonomous mode and overtake that McLaren up ahead with perfect driving skill and speed.

He handed the phone to the assistant. ”Contact the seller. See how they’ll deliver this software.”

After a moment, the assistant happily reported, ”Brother Zhao Rong, it’s an installation program. We don’t need delivery. We just give the website staff our license plate number, and they can install the software remotely, directly into our car.”

Zhao Rong was amazed. ”Oh my gosh, is it really that magical? Hurry and ask the seller what will happen to our Ferrari after it’s installed.”

The assistant immediately relayed the question. After their conversation, he looked at Zhao Rong with excitement. ”Brother Zhao Rong, the seller has installed the software! Now he wants us to choose an F1 driver.”

This sounded like science fiction to Zhao Rong. ”Does that mean if we choose an F1 driver, he’ll personally come over to drive for us?”

The assistant smiled and explained, ”Of course not, Brother Zhao Rong. The seller said that once we choose, the F1 driver will operate our car remotely. As the buyers, all we have to do is sit here and enjoy the show.”

Understanding now, Zhao Rong immediately told him, ”Tell the seller I choose Schumacher to be our driver.”

However, when the assistant relayed the request, the seller quickly replied, ”Sorry, brother. Schumacher suffered a brain injury in a skiing accident last year and is still in a coma at the hospital. Please choose another F1 driver.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong racked his brain, recalling the excellent racers from the competitions he had watched. ”Alright,” he told the seller via the assistant, ”I’ll choose the British driver, Lewis Hamilton.”

The seller immediately responded, ”No problem. You can let go of the steering wheel now. Hamilton will operate your Ferrari remotely from the UK. He’ll help you overtake that McLaren and humiliate him.”

At his word, Zhao Rong let go of the wheel.

But when the two women in the back saw him do this, they screamed in terror. ”Brother Zhao Rong, we’re in a Ferrari going 200 mph on the highway! If you let go of the wheel, we’ll crash and be killed!”

Zhao Rong calmly reassured them, ”Don’t be afraid. Lewis Hamilton, one of the greatest F1 drivers in history, is now driving our car. Just relax.”

Before he could finish speaking, the Ferrari lurched forward, accelerating violently. To the shock of everyone, the unmanned vehicle handled with superhuman skill. It was incredibly fast, agile, responsive, and utterly dominant.

Meanwhile, Zhou Xiaoer stuck his head out the window of his McLaren. He looked back at Zhao Rong in the Ferrari and exclaimed in disbelief, ”Holy crap, no way! How did his driving improve so much in an instant? It’s like a Formula 1 champion suddenly took the wheel. This is insane… is this even real?”
