Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Zhao Rong froze as he stared at his ringing phone. He glanced awkwardly from the Chairman on his left to Wang Xiaopeng on his right.

”Chairman,” he said, ”should I answer your daughter, Miss Lili, or Wang Guihua, the daughter of tycoon Wang Xiaopeng?”

Before Zhao Rong could finish, the Chairman and Wang Xiaopeng spoke in perfect unison, ”Of course, answer my daughter’s call first!”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong was mortified. After a moment of thought, he decided to answer the Chairman’s daughter first. After all, he worked for the Chairman. He answered Lili’s call.

The call had barely connected when Lili’s roar blasted through the phone. ”Brother Zhao Rong, why isn’t anyone in your dorm? Where are you? Tell me right now, I’m coming to find you!”

Zhao Rong held the phone a good ten centimeters from his ear. ”I’m at the Red Romance Bath Center…”

Before he could finish, the Chairman shot him a furious look. ”Damn it, don’t tell her you’re at a bath center! If my daughter comes here and sees me, it’ll be a total disaster!”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong quickly tried to correct himself.

But before he could speak, Lili was already questioning him. ”Brother, what did you just say? You’re at a what center?”

Seeing the Chairman’s stone-cold expression, Zhao Rong’s mind raced. ”We’re at the car wash,” he blurted out.

Hearing ”car wash,” Lili furrowed her brow in confusion. ”Brother Zhao Rong, what are you doing at a car wash in the middle of the night? Besides, your Mercedes-Benz RV and Maybach sports car are still at your villa. You didn’t drive them to the women’s university, did you?”

Zhao Rong was at a loss for words. Just as he was stammering, unable to come up with an explanation, the tycoon Wang Xiaopeng pressed his Ferrari key into Zhao Rong’s hand.

”Forget it. This Ferrari is yours now. You should drive it to the car wash next door. Pretend you’re washing it to fool Miss Lili.”

When Zhao Rong saw that the tycoon, who had already gifted him three islands, was now giving him a Ferrari worth tens of millions, he hesitated. ”That doesn’t seem right...”

Wang Xiaopeng shoved the key firmly into his hand. ”What’s not right about it? This is to keep up the act. Now hurry up and drive this Ferrari to the car wash and play your part!”

With no choice, Zhao Rong reluctantly accepted the Ferrari. With his assistant in the passenger seat, he drove to an upscale car wash across the street.

Just as he parked the car, ready to get it washed, Wang Guihua called again.

With no other choice, Zhao Rong quickly answered. ”Wang Guihua, hey. What’s on your mind, calling me in the middle of the night?”

Wang Guihua giggled. ”I miss you, so I wanted to come see you.”

Lili is coming to find me, and now Wang Guihua wants to as well. If the two of them meet… isn’t that a recipe for disaster?

He started making excuses. ”I’m out getting my Ferrari washed right now. Plus, the car wash is in a really remote area. You’d never be able to find it.”

After he spoke, Zhao Rong chuckled to himself. Heh, I’m a genius. That little lie should be enough to fool Wang Guihua. If she actually found this place, how would I ever explain things to Lili?

Just as Zhao Rong was gloating, Wang Guihua’s voice came over the phone again. ”Brother Zhao Rong, don’t worry. I actually turned on my phone’s GPS locator when I called you. As long as I follow the navigation, I’ll definitely find you.”

Zhao Rong was stunned. He never expected Wang Guihua to use such advanced tech to track him through a phone call. Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, he asked, ”I remember you don’t know how to drive. You aren’t seriously tracking me on a shared bike, are you?”

Wang Guihua laughed. ”I forgot to tell you, I took a late-night rideshare.”

Hearing ”late-night rideshare,” Zhao Rong immediately feared for her safety. ”What the hell? Are you out of your mind? Don’t you know how dangerous late-night rideshares are? And you dared to take one?”

Wang Guihua tried to reassure him. ”Brother Zhao Rong, don’t worry. I took a good look at the driver before I got in. I think he looks kind, so he must be a good person.”

”As a girl taking a rideshare this late at night, you have to stay alert!” Zhao Rong warned. ”Don’t let your guard down. Be extra careful!”

But before he could finish, he suddenly heard a scream from Wang Guihua’s end, followed by the repetitive beep of a disconnected line.

Seeing the call had been cut, Zhao Rong frantically redialed her number, but her phone was already switched off. A jolt of alarm shot through him. He turned to his assistant. ”This is bad. Wang Guihua took a rideshare, and she must have run into trouble!”

The assistant grew nervous. ”What do we do? We don’t know where she is! How can we go save her?”

Zhao Rong handed the Ferrari keys to his assistant. ”You watch the car. I’m going to use Instant Teleportation to go rescue her.”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong vanished from sight.

When the young attendant washing the car saw Zhao Rong vanish into thin air, he dropped his rag in terror. ”A ghost!” he shrieked as he ran away. ”I saw a ghost! I really saw a ghost!”

Just as Zhao Rong teleported, Wang Guihua was pinned down by the rideshare driver. Not yet processing what was happening, she pushed back against him. ”What do you think you’re doing?!”

The driver, who had seemed so honest, now wore a lecherous grin. ”What else? You’re a beautiful woman. Obviously, I want to have some… ’special’ fun with you.”

As he spoke, he started trying to rip off her clothes.

Wang Guihua struggled. ”You monster! Don’t push your luck! Just wait until my boyfriend gets here and beats you half to death!”

Hearing this, the driver laughed. He pointed to the desolate wilderness around them. ”My dear, you’re so naive. The moment you got in my car, I decided to bring you out here where no one will ever find you. That way, I can do what I want, and nobody will ever know.”

The driver chuckled to himself.

But before his laughter faded, Zhao Rong appeared behind him, grabbed him by the hair, and slammed him to the ground. ”You bastard!” Zhao Rong roared, landing a kick. ”How dare you attack a woman!”

When the driver saw Zhao Rong appear out of thin air, he was utterly dumbfounded. He stared at Zhao Rong, speechless for a long moment before finally stammering, ”Who… who are you? Where did you come from?”

Before the driver could finish, Zhao Rong snatched a brick from the ground and smashed it over his head. ”Why should it matter to you where I came from?”

With his head split open and bleeding, the driver mumbled in disbelief, ”I picked a deserted mountain ridge, completely off the beaten path. How could a passerby suddenly show up out of nowhere?”

Zhao Rong hauled the driver up by his collar and punched him hard in the stomach. ”You scumbag! Instead of doing your job as a rideshare driver, you bring women out here to assault them? Today, I’m going to beat the hell out of you as a lesson, and then I’m dragging you to the police station!”

With that, Zhao Rong unleashed a torrent of punches on the wicked driver.

When Wang Guihua saw Zhao Rong descend from the heavens to rescue her, she began to cry with relief. ”Brother Zhao Rong, I knew you would come save me!”

Zhao Rong beat the driver until he was barely conscious, kicked him to the ground one last time, and then walked over to Wang Guihua. ”Wang Guihua, are you alright? Taking a rideshare alone this late at night is so dangerous.”

Wang Guihua threw her arms around him, crying. ”Brother Zhao Rong, you have no idea. I was all alone in my room, wide awake in the middle of the night, and I just missed you so much. So I called you. After I got your location, I just wanted to come find you. But I can’t drive, and I couldn’t find a taxi, so I booked a rideshare… I never imagined the driver would be a monster.”

Zhao Rong held her tightly, comforting her. ”It’s okay, Wang Guihua. Don’t be scared. I’m here now. You’re safe.”

Just then, the driver, who had been beaten nearly to death, struggled to his feet. He picked up a large rock from the ground and charged at Zhao Rong.

”You and your meddling!” the driver screamed, raising the rock. ”I’ll smash your head in!”

When Wang Guihua saw the driver with the rock behind Zhao Rong, she shoved him aside. ”Brother Zhao Rong, look out! He’s going to hit you with that rock!”

But in a flash, Zhao Rong launched a flying kick straight at the driver’s face.

Before the driver could even react, he was knocked to the ground. The large rock he was holding fell from his grasp and smashed down onto his own chest, killing him instantly.

Seeing that the driver was dealt with, Wang Guihua and Zhao Rong embraced tightly, their reunion quickly turning into a passionate kiss.
