Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 474: Chapter 435: There are Pirates, Specifically Somali Pirates

As soon as Xue Lianmei ate the bread designed for piloting a spaceship, she immediately felt as light as a feather.

”Holy moly, this is definitely from the Paradise Shopping Cart app,” she exclaimed. ”After eating this bread, I suddenly feel like I’m wearing a spacesuit and floating in space. It’s this feeling of emptiness, of swaying, of weightlessness...”

Just as the three women were enjoying the bread, the assistant suddenly rushed over and tried to snatch the steering wheel from Zhao Rong’s hands.

”Zhao Rong, since I’ve eaten the sailing bread, I must have mastered the skills to pilot a boat,” he declared. ”Step aside and let me drive this private yacht. I’m sure my skills won’t be any worse than yours!”

With that, the assistant wrested the steering wheel from Zhao Rong’s hands and took control. However, as soon as he started sailing, his mind went completely blank; he had no idea what he was doing. In his incompetence, he nearly capsized the yacht.

When Zhao Rong saw that the assistant still couldn’t sail despite having eaten the sailing bread, he pushed him aside, righted the vessel to avert the danger, and asked, ”Assistant, did you get diarrhea right after you ate the bread?”

Hearing this, the assistant exclaimed in surprise, ”Zhao Rong, how did you know I just had diarrhea?”

Zhao Rong sighed and cursed in frustration. ”You absolutely cannot have diarrhea after eating knowledge bread! Otherwise, all the knowledge you just consumed gets flushed right back out!”

The assistant, frustrated, slapped himself across the face. ”If I’d known, I wouldn’t have snuck some sausages while eating the bread,” he said regretfully. He then pulled a few cheap, one-yuan sausages from his pocket and tossed them into the sea. ”These sausages must have been expired; otherwise, I wouldn’t have gotten diarrhea.”

The assistant then looked pitifully at Zhao Rong. ”Brother, since I pooped out all the knowledge from the bread... why don’t you buy some more for me online?” As he spoke, he put on a cute expression and pointed to his wide-open mouth.

While keeping the yacht steady, Zhao Rong replied, ”My friend, you should know that knowledge bread is very expensive. Since you wasted it, you can buy the next one with your own money.”

When the assistant heard that Zhao Rong wanted him to pay for it himself, he grew reluctant. ”Zhao Rong, you know I don’t have much money. Do you really have the heart to make me pay? You’re a billionaire! Can’t you stand to spend a little on your brother so I can eat some knowledge bread and help you sail this ship?”

Hearing the assistant’s pitiful plea, Zhao Rong immediately replied, ”Assistant, it’s not about how much money I have. I have never wasted a single penny. Besides, the money I’ve earned through my own hard work is going to be used to establish a foundation to save lives, help the injured, and support the poor, the disabled, women, children, and orphans.”

At that moment, Lili walked over and confronted the assistant. ”Assistant, even though Brother Zhao Rong is a billionaire, he never wastes a single penny. He uses his money to help the poor! But what about you? You may not be rich, but you have over a million yuan, don’t you? And you do nothing but squander it, spending it recklessly at bathhouses and shady hair salons. In short, you’ve wasted everything!”

Xue Lianmei, unable to watch any longer, also came over to berate him. ”Assistant, I just don’t get it. You’re willing to spend money on women in bathhouses and shady salons, yet you can’t bring yourself to spend a little on a loaf of sailing bread to help Brother Zhao Rong pilot this ship?”

Yu Lan walked over decisively, snatched the phone from the assistant’s hand, opened Alipay, and transferred 100,000 yuan. She immediately purchased a loaf of knowledge bread online and turned to the assistant.

”Assistant, that’s enough out of you. I’m buying you a loaf of sailing knowledge bread right now. After you eat it, don’t you dare sneak so much as a crumb of anything else, got it?”

However, just as Yu Lan was completing the purchase, a few small boats appeared in the distance, speeding toward them.

The assistant pointed at the approaching boats and yelled in surprise, ”Oh no, pirates! Somali pirates!”

When Zhao Rong heard ”Somali pirates,” he couldn’t believe it. ”We should be far from the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, not to mention the Gulf of Aden and the Strait of Djibouti. How could there possibly be Somali pirates here?”

But when he saw several dark-skinned, fierce-looking men holding AK-47s and RPG launchers on each high-speed boat, he was stunned.

Incredulous, Zhao Rong said, ”We just left the East China Sea a few kilometers back. How could we have suddenly appeared near the Gulf of Aden and run into Somali pirates?”

He immediately took out his phone and activated the GPS and BeiDou dual-positioning system. He checked the location, and what he saw gave him a shock. The phone’s display accurately showed that his private yacht was sailing right through the Gulf of Aden and the Strait of Djibouti—waters where Somali pirates frequently operated. The coastline not far away was indeed Somalia.

Instantly, Zhao Rong’s guard went up. He watched the speedboats closing in and yelled to the assistant and the women, ”This is bad, they really are Somali pirates! Everyone, get ready for a fight! Don’t let your guard down!”

But before he could even finish his sentence, the speedboats had already pulled up alongside his private yacht. The pirates threw ropes with hooks, latching onto the side of the ship, and began climbing aboard.

Seeing how professional and fierce these pirates were, Zhao Rong immediately opened the Paradise Shopping Cart app on his phone. He started browsing for mysterious weapons.

”Holy moly,” he muttered. ”I’ve seen Somali pirates on TV all the time, but facing them for real... it’s staggering. These pirates are the real deal. I have to buy a mysterious weapon online right now to deal with them. If our ship gets hijacked, we’ll be in serious trouble.”

Thus, Zhao Rong typed ”anti-pirate weapons” into the Paradise Shopping Cart’s search bar.

A host of weapons immediately appeared. Many were things Zhao Rong could have never imagined—some could even be called bizarre—but all of them would undoubtedly be very effective against pirates.
