Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Just as the assistant was staring at the four men nearby, completely bewildered by their actions, they suddenly produced an arsenal of modern weapons.

The skinny one pulled a grenade from his waist. ”Alright,” he said, holding it ready, ”now that we’ve eaten our fill, it’s time to act according to the boss’s plan.”

Standing beside him, the fat man wiped his mouth and took out a stick of dynamite. He raised it high, preparing to throw it. ”Skinny, let’s follow the boss’s plan. You throw the grenade first, then I’ll throw the stick of dynamite.”

The dwarf nearby finished his last bottle of beer, then pulled out an explosive pack. Hefting it with his right hand, he said, ”After you two have thrown the grenade and the dynamite, I’ll throw the explosive pack.”

Hearing the three villains’ conversation from not far away, the assistant stared wide-eyed. Where are these guys planning to throw their grenade, stick of dynamite, and explosive pack?

Before the assistant could finish his thought, the motorcyclist retrieved a rocket launcher from the back of his bike. He loaded a rocket, aimed it at the thatched cottage where Zhao Rong and his group were staying, and sneered, ”Zhao Rong, you’ve been clever your whole life, but this was a moment of foolishness. Though you were cunning enough to escape all the traps our boss set, you still fell for his final trick and moved into this cottage we prepared just for you. Now, sleep soundly while we toss grenades, dynamite, explosives, and a rocket right into your lap. We’ll blow you to kingdom come!”

As he finished speaking, the motorcyclist burst into loud laughter.

When the assistant realized the four villains intended to bomb the cottage he shared with Zhao Rong, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian, he broke out in a cold sweat and dashed toward it.

As he ran, he thought frantically, This is bad! I have to get to the cottage as fast as I can, wake up the sleeping Zhao Rong, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian, and get them to safety! Otherwise, those villains will blow them to pieces with all those modern weapons!

However, before he could reach the cottage, he heard the four villains beginning their assault.

The skinny one pulled the pin from the grenade and hurled it toward Zhao Rong’s cottage. ”Zhao Rong, I’m going to blow you up with this!”

Next, the fat man lit the fuse on his stick of dynamite and threw it after the grenade. ”Even if Skinny’s grenade doesn’t kill you, my dynamite will finish the job!”

When the assistant heard the blasts from the grenade and the stick of dynamite, he dropped to his knees, his eyes fixed on the fiercely blazing cottage. Just as the fire began to rage, the dwarf rushed forward with the explosive pack, tossed it into the inferno, and sprinted back. The moment the dwarf hit the ground, a violent explosion erupted, instantly leveling the burning structure.

Following that, the motorcyclist raised the rocket launcher and fired at the flattened patch of earth. ”Zhao Rong, take this rocket! Even if you had three heads and six arms, you couldn’t escape our grenades, dynamite, explosive packs, and rockets!”

In less than a minute, the cottage where Zhao Rong and his group had been staying was not only blown to bits, but a large crater had also been blasted into the ground where it once stood.

When the assistant saw what had become of the cottage, he broke into tears, clutching his head and sobbing.

”Brother Zhao Rong, in my eyes, you were always a hero! You were intelligent, resourceful, and omnipotent—capable of traversing heaven and earth, slaying monsters and leveling up, exorcising demons, and being invincible in this world! But for every foot virtue rises, the devil rises ten. In the end, you were still tricked by some deeply hidden villain into coming to this movie set they built. You moved into the cottage they designed for you, and then you were blown to pieces by four brutish men with modern weapons! Brother Zhao Rong, your death was so tragic! And you three beautiful ladies, your deaths were even more so…”

With that, the assistant suddenly pulled a dagger from his waist. He tore off his shirt, preparing to disembowel himself. ”Brother Zhao Rong, Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian! We were the perfect team! Since the four of you have left this world, there’s no meaning for me to live on alone! Wait for me! I’ll commit suicide right now and follow you to the netherworld! In eighteen years, we’ll be reincarnated—two brave men and three beautiful women! We can form a team again to roam the world, fighting for justice, healing the sick, and robbing the rich to help the poor!”

Just as the assistant plunged the sharp dagger toward his own abdomen, he felt someone rush over and kick him squarely in the face.

Knocked to the ground, the assistant dropped the dagger. He scrambled up, cursing, ”Damn it! You four bastards, how dare you kill Brother Zhao Rong, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian! I’ll kill you!”

But when the assistant grabbed a large rock from the ground and stood up to smash the person who had kicked him, he was shocked to find Zhao Rong, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian standing before him.

The large rock fell from the assistant’s hand with a thud. He began to cry again. ”Brother Zhao Rong, Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, your deaths were so tragic! Since you’ve already become ghosts, you should go drink Meng Po Soup in the netherworld and wait for reincarnation. I’ll disembowel myself right now and join you!”

Before the assistant could finish, Zhao Rong strode forward, grabbed his collar, and slapped him across the face. ”Assistant, have you lost your mind? I’m standing right here, alive and well! Why are you saying I’m dead?”

When the assistant touched Zhao Rong, he felt the warmth and firmness of his body. He stammered in astonishment, ”Brother Zhao Rong, didn’t those four villains flatten the cottage with modern weapons? How are you not dead? You’re standing right in front of me, alive!”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong smiled. ”Those four really underestimated me. Am I that foolish? The moment I moved into that cottage, I knew it was a trap. I figured someone would try to set it on fire in the middle of the night. Luckily, I acted first. I turned their plan against them and got everyone out at the crucial moment. And just as I expected, four villains came and blew the place up.”
