Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 349: Chapter 311: The Girlfriend Who Lacks Vision

Just as Zhao Rong and several thugs began to fight, the faculty members living in the nearby dormitory building crowded around. When they saw Zhao Rong, a seemingly frail young man, fighting five or six thugs armed with long knives barehanded, they couldn’t help but gasp in amazement.

A man carrying a thermos, on his way to get hot water, commented, ”This young man is like an egg striking a rock. I think he’s going to get hacked to pieces by these thugs, maybe even killed...”

A man with thick glasses, squinting at the scene and clearly not optimistic about Zhao Rong’s chances, said, ”Students from the Sports Academy are in great shape, but even so, it’s impossible for one person to win a fight against four or five others...”

A passing basketball coach saw the student fighting the thugs and was about to step in to help, but his girlfriend grabbed his arm and pulled him back. ”Honey, are you trying to get yourself killed? Can’t you see those thugs are holding long knives? They’re remorseless killers who wouldn’t blink an eye...”

Hearing his girlfriend, the basketball coach immediately chickened out. He lowered his head, pretended not to see anything, and walked past.

Looks like this student is doomed today, he thought. You really can’t mess with the thugs from around the school, especially the ones from the urban villages. Those guys are absolutely ruthless.

Just as the crowd lost all hope for Zhao Rong, he suddenly exploded with power.

In a blur of motion, Zhao Rong grabbed the bald man’s head with his left hand and another thug’s hair with his right. His left leg shot out, kicking a man behind him in the groin, while his right leg kicked the throat of a thug in front. With a sudden exertion of force, the four previously arrogant thugs were all sent flying. The most arrogant of them, Bald Liu, was punched so hard by Zhao Rong that he flew up and hit the ceiling before crashing down hard onto the floor.

Clutching his bloody head, Bald Liu looked at Zhao Rong in terror. ”Young man, how are you so powerful? You’re like a kung fu emperor...” With that, he fainted. The other three minions, knocked to the ground, were rolling around and screaming in agony.

When the onlookers saw the slender Zhao Rong single-handedly take down four men, they let out another collective gasp of astonishment. The two remaining thugs saw their four comrades defeated and immediately turned tail and ran.

Zhao Rong spotted the two fleeing in the distance and roared, ”Villains, where do you think you’re going? Striking the Cow Across the Mountain!”

As he spoke, he casually lifted the unconscious Bald Liu and punched him in the stomach.

At that moment, the two thugs who had escaped were looking at each other, snickering. ”Good thing we ran fast. If that kid had caught us, we would’ve been beaten to a pulp...”

Just as they were congratulating themselves, they suddenly felt an immense, piercing force strike them from behind. They had no time to react before they were sent flying. The two were blasted out of a dormitory window and soared through the air, landing on the nearby sports field where a shot-put competition was underway. Before the two thugs could even process what had happened, they saw students nearby hurling hundreds of shot puts directly at them. They reflexively closed their eyes and muttered, ”We’d rather be killed by shot puts than by that young man. At least this way, our corpses might look a little better.”

After Zhao Rong effortlessly took down all six thugs by himself, the surrounding crowd erupted in a wave of enthusiastic applause.

An English teacher wearing glasses approached him. ”Young man, you are simply incredible! I have to know, do you have a girlfriend?”

Startled, Zhao Rong looked at the very beautiful English teacher and said shyly, ”Teacher, are you... interested in me?”

The English teacher smiled, took a photo from her pocket, and showed it to him. ”It’s not me, but our department is full of single girls looking for a boyfriend. In fact, I’d like to introduce you to our department’s most beautiful student. Are you interested in dating her?”

When Zhao Rong saw the photo, he was stunned by the woman’s beauty. ”She’s... she’s gorgeous!”

He was just about to pull out his phone to add her on WeChat when Lili stepped forward and stopped Zhao Rong. ”Brother Zhao Rong, what are you doing? Aren’t the three of us enough for you?”

Embarrassed, Zhao Rong scratched the back of his head. He turned to the English teacher and said apologetically, ”Teacher, I’m sorry. I’m the bodyguard for these three ladies. Since my clients don’t allow me to have a girlfriend, I have to thank you for your kind offer...”

Seeing Zhao Rong refuse her, the English teacher said with a sigh of regret, ”Such a fine young hero. Why be a bodyguard for three women? What a waste of talent...”

After the English teacher left, a PE teacher came over and gave Zhao Rong a thumbs-up. ”Young man, you’re amazing! With your physique, I doubt there’s anyone else like you in the entire Sports Academy. I’m a mixed martial arts coach. Are you interested in training MMA with me? You could fight in the UFC someday!”

Before Zhao Rong could answer, Yu Lan stepped forward and refused on his behalf. ”What’s the UFC, ONE FC, or ROAD FC? You can call all the champions from those MMA promotions to fight my Brother Zhao Rong. I guarantee he’ll beat them so badly they’ll be picking their teeth up off the floor.”

Hearing this, the PE teacher walked away sullenly.

Next, a Sanda coach came over. He patted Zhao Rong on the shoulder, then on his thigh. ”Young man, you have extraordinary talent and a remarkable frame. You should train Sanda with me! With a physique like yours, you’ll definitely become the new King of Sanda one day!”

Xuelian stepped forward. ”Coach, sorry, but I’ll tell you the truth. Even if Brother Zhao Rong doesn’t train Sanda with you, he can still become the national champion, the King of Sanda for the whole country.”

The coach sighed, shaking his head as he walked away. This young man is such a good prospect,

he thought. But his weakness is having three girlfriends with no vision...While the crowd continued to surround him, Zhao Rong suddenly remembered the assistant trapped in the basement. He pushed his way through the people and rushed towards the basement with the three women. The stairs leading down were narrow and dark, making it easy to slip and fall. Zhao Rong took out his phone, switched on the flashlight, and lit the way for the women behind him. ”Be careful going down,” he cautioned. ”Don’t fall.”

The three followed him cautiously down the stairs. When they reached the basement, however, they found it empty. The assistant was gone.

Having come all this way for nothing, Zhao Rong slapped the wall in frustration. ”I shouldn’t have wasted so much time talking nonsense with Bald Liu! If we hadn’t been delayed, we might have been able to rescue the assistant!”

Lili looked at the empty basement and said angrily, ”It’s all Li Xiaogang’s fault! If we hadn’t wasted time saving him, we wouldn’t have missed this opportunity!”

Yu Lan stepped forward to remind him, ”Brother Zhao Rong, time is of the essence. We should use the DNA Positioning Detector to track the assistant now!”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong immediately took out the device and tried to scan for a signal. To his surprise, the DNA Positioning Detector couldn’t detect the assistant’s DNA at all.

While Zhao Rong was wondering what was wrong, Xuelian suddenly picked up a note from the floor. She read it aloud:

”’You think you’re so smart, buying a DNA Positioning Detector online to find the assistant? Well, I bought a Reverse Location Detector from Taobao. As long as I have this thing turned on next to the assistant, you can forget about detecting his location...’”

Hearing the kidnappers’ note, Zhao Rong was stunned. ”No way... They’ve already figured out our go-to method.”

Seeing that the kidnappers had a countermeasure, Lili grew anxious. ”Brother Zhao Rong, if the detector doesn’t work, what do we do? How are we going to find the assistant?”

Yu Lan paced back and forth like an ant on a hot pan. ”What should we do? If anything happens to the assistant, our team will lose one of its most capable members!”

Xuelian was also racking her brain for a solution. ”Brother Zhao Rong, do you have any other machine that might be better at finding him?”

Just then, Zhao Rong remembered a top-selling tracker on Taobao. He took out his phone, opened the app, and said to the three women, ”Since the DNA detector is useless, I’ll buy an Odor Positioning Detector. With that, I’m sure we can track the assistant by scent.”

Hearing that such a magical device existed, the three women immediately leaned in, looking at Zhao Rong’s phone with amazement. When Zhao Rong opened the Taobao app and typed ”Odor Positioning Detector” into the search bar, a very peculiar-looking device appeared on the screen.

When the three women saw what it looked like, they blushed.

Lili said shyly, ”Brother Zhao Rong, are you sure that thing is an Odor Positioning Detector... and not something for women?”

Yu Lan glanced down at herself, then back at the device’s design. ”The designer of this machine must be a total pervert,” she said. ”Otherwise, why would he design it to look like *that*?”

While the women were exclaiming, Zhao Rong clicked ”Purchase.”
