Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Listening to Zhao Rong, Xuelian said with a straight face, ”It’s obviously a chocolate roll, but you all insist it’s toilet paper. If you don’t believe me, take a look and have a taste while you’re at it…”

Hearing Xuelian’s words, Zhao Rong took a skeptical bite of the ”toilet paper.” He wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t tried it, but a single taste left him stunned. As he savored the delicious chocolate, he exclaimed in surprise, ”Holy crap, it really is a chocolate roll! I’ve always thought Swiss chocolate was the best, but I never imagined this ’roll of toilet paper’ would taste even better!”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s praise, Lili and Yu Lan immediately grabbed the roll and took a bite. The moment the chocolate touched their lips, however, their eyes rolled back and they collapsed, unconscious.

Zhao Rong looked at the two unconscious women, then spun his head around to glare at Xuelian. ”Did you poison this chocolate?”

”Of course not, Zhao Rong,” Xuelian said, feigning innocence. ”I just pulled a little switcheroo. I threw the real toilet paper under the bed and grabbed this chocolate roll, which looked just like it, from the nightstand. I didn’t poison it!”

At her words, Zhao Rong jumped off the bed to check on Lili and Yu Lan. When he discovered that they were suffering a flare-up of a pre-existing poison, he realized it wasn’t the chocolate. The poison they had been given when they were kidnapped had suddenly taken effect. He immediately lifted the two women and laid them flat on the bed before turning to Xuelian. ”Time is running out! We need to make the antidote now!”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong took the Snow Lotus, the Jade Orchid, a pressure cooker, and a strong fire source from his Magic Ring. He worked quickly, successfully concocting the antidote in no time at all. Once it was ready, he gave one pill to each woman.

Zhao Rong hadn’t expected the antidote made from the Snow Lotus and Jade Orchid to be so incredibly potent. Just a moment after swallowing the pills, the two women fully regained their strength and energy.

Lili sat up, gasping for air as she touched her face. ”Oh my god, that’s a miracle! I’m alive again!”

Yu Lan added sentimentally, ”It feels so good to be alive.”

With that, both women looked at Zhao Rong and thanked him in unison. ”Zhao Rong, we don’t know how to thank you. You’ve saved us so many times on this journey.”

Seeing them fully awake and completely cured, Zhao Rong sighed in relief. ”Just seeing you two alive is the best thanks I could ask for.”

Xuelian stepped forward and pulled Lili and Yu Lan into a hug. ”Sisters, you’re finally okay! I’m so happy! From now on, our trio can have fun together again!”

In contrast to Xuelian’s excitement, Lili teased her, ”So, is it a bad thing that we’re both alive? This way, you won’t be able to… *you know*… with Zhao Rong, right?”

Hearing this, Xuelian blushed. ”Sister Lili, what are you talking about? I just got carried away for a moment; my lust made me reckless. Under normal circumstances, as a woman, I can totally control my desires.”

Yu Lan joined in the teasing. ”Xuelian, if we weren’t here, you could have Zhao Rong all to yourself. Wouldn’t that be even better?”

Xuelian laughed. ”Honestly, being with Zhao Rong feels great, but being with you two is amazing as well! We’re a team, and every one of us is essential.”

Just as Xuelian said that everyone was essential, Zhao Rong suddenly thought of his assistant. He hurriedly took the DNA Locator from his pocket and said to the three women, ”Xuelian is right. We’re a team, and no one can be left behind. Now that you two are safe, we have to find the assistant and bring him back!”

Hearing that the assistant had also been kidnapped, the three women replied urgently, ”Then let’s find his DNA quickly! We’ll put it in the DNA Locator, find his position, and go rescue him!”

With that settled, Zhao Rong led the three women into his dorm room. Upon entering, Lili went straight to the assistant’s bed, picked up his pillow, and placed it in the DNA Locator’s sample tray. ”There should be some of the assistant’s DNA on his pillow,” she said. ”The locator can definitely find him with this.”

Contrary to her expectations, however, they found no DNA on the assistant’s pillow. Yu Lan, standing beside Lili, then picked up the assistant’s drinking cup and put it into the device. ”When you were looking for me, you used my cup to get DNA,” she said confidently. ”Now that I’ve put the assistant’s cup in this DNA Locator, we’ll definitely find out where he is.”

To Yu Lan’s disappointment, however, the assistant’s DNA was not on his drinking cup either. Seeing how difficult the task was, Xuelian had a wild idea. She opened the assistant’s wardrobe, rummaged through it, and triumphantly pulled out a pair of his underwear. ”There’s got to be some DNA on these, right?”

As she spoke, she stuffed the underwear into the DNA Locator. When Lili and Yu Lan saw Xuelian painstakingly select the assistant’s underwear from his wardrobe, they were so shocked they fell to the floor.

As Lili scrambled up, she pinched her nose and said, ”Xuelian, you’re really something else! To think you’d actually pull out… *those*…”

Yu Lan remained on the floor, wiping cold sweat from her forehead. ”Xuelian, in this whole world, I’m not impressed by anyone else. But you… I have to hand it to you.”

Zhao Rong coughed twice and quickly found a mask to put on. ”The smell of the assistant’s underwear is as bad as a can of Swedish fermented herring.”

But even as everyone endured the toxic fumes from the underwear, the DNA Locator still came up empty. After searching for a long time without finding a single trace of the assistant’s DNA, they were all dumbfounded.

Lili said in disbelief, ”This assistant is like some kind of alien! He’s lived in this dorm for so long, how could he have not left behind any DNA? It’s impossible!”

Xuelian scratched her head, equally confused. ”Even if there’s no DNA on his bed or his cup, there should be plenty on his underwear, right? But there’s nothing, not even there. This is really strange.”

Yu Lan looked around the rest of the room. ”What the hell? This is cursed. How can there be no trace of the assistant’s DNA anywhere? Don’t tell me he sleeps wrapped in plastic, wears gloves, and drinks with a straw…”

While everyone was mystified, Zhao Rong suddenly had an epiphany. His eyes widened as he speculated, ”Oh no! Someone must have snuck into our dorm ahead of us and cleaned all of the assistant’s items, removing every trace of his DNA. That’s why we can’t find anything!”

Hearing this, Lili nodded. ”Zhao Rong, you’re absolutely right. That’s definitely possible.”

Yu Lan was astonished. ”But who could have known we have a DNA Locator and could use it to find him?”

Zhao Rong replied instantly, ”Have you forgotten? When we rescued Lili from that Mercedes van, we let a masked driver get away.”

Hearing that, Xuelian drew a firm conclusion. ”It must have been him! After he escaped, he must have told his boss about our DNA Locator! So the boss sent someone to our dorm to erase all of the assistant’s DNA. That way, we can’t find him!”

At Xuelian’s words, everyone fell silent. They felt that their only lead to find the assistant had just gone cold.

Just as they were sinking into a discouraged silence, Zhao Rong suddenly slapped the table and laughed. ”They may have wiped all the DNA from the items he used in this dorm, but they overlooked one place. And I’m certain his DNA will be there!”

Hearing this, Lili glanced toward the bathroom. ”Zhao Rong, I know it! The assistant has a nasty habit. Every morning when he wakes up, he goes into the bathroom to… *you know*. His DNA must be in the wastebasket!”

Zhao Rong shook his head. ”The person who snuck in already burned the wastebasket.”

Yu Lan scratched the back of her head. ”I’ve got it! Zhao Rong, didn’t you say the assistant likes to… *flick his stuff*… onto the wall? If we scrape off a bit of plaster from the corner near his bed, we can definitely find his DNA!”

Zhao Rong still shook his head, pointing to the wall. ”Look at that plaster. It’s been treated. Clearly, the assistant was tortured until he gave up everything he knew.”

Hearing this, Lili and Yu Lan despaired. They sighed, ”If that’s the case, then we’ll never find his DNA.”

Just as the two women gave up hope, Zhao Rong located the assistant’s DNA. When the three women saw where he found it, they were all stunned speechless. In unison, they exclaimed, ”Holy crap… that shatters our worldview!”
