Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Just as the balding man and the long-haired man were locked in a fierce brawl, Zhao Rong approached holding three discuses. ”Hey, guys,” he said politely. ”I found these on the field. Do they belong to either of you?”

The balding man was currently mounted on top of the long-haired man, pummeling him mercilessly. When he saw Zhao Rong approaching with the discuses, completely unharmed, he froze in astonishment. He twisted around to stare at Zhao Rong and said, ”What the hell? Don’t tell me my second discus didn’t even hurt you?”

Seizing the opportunity, the long-haired man turned the tables, flipping the balding man onto his back and beginning to pound on him.

Zhao Rong tossed the three discuses to the side and tried to mediate. ”Hey, why are you two fighting for no reason?”

When the long-haired man, who was now on top, saw Zhao Rong place the discuses nearby, he exclaimed in disbelief, ”Holy crap, dude, are you an idiot? This bald guy was just trying to smash your head in with those, and you picked them up to return them?”

”I don’t have any proof,” Zhao Rong explained calmly. ”How can I accuse him of throwing them at me on purpose? Maybe he was just practicing and hit me by accident. It’s fine, though. Luckily, my reflexes are fast enough that I caught all three with my bare hands.”

While the long-haired man was distracted talking to Zhao Rong, the balding man seized his chance to reverse the situation again, pinning the long-haired man beneath him and resuming the beatdown.

While punching the long-haired man, the balding man yelled over at Zhao Rong, ”Hey, buddy, I’ll tell you straight up! It wasn’t an accident. I was deliberately trying to injure you with those discuses!”

Hearing his malevolent words, Zhao Rong offered some well-intentioned advice, ”I suggest you try being a good person. Heaven is always watching, and those who commit many evil deeds are doomed to destroy themselves.”

At that moment, the long-haired man took advantage of the distraction once more, flipping the balding man back onto the ground. While landing blows, he asked Zhao Rong, ”Hey, do you even know why we’re fighting?”

Zhao Rong, who was about to leave, replied, ”I’m guessing you two were bored and had nothing better to do.”

While continuing to beat the balding man, the long-haired man explained, ”This bald guy insists he’s more handsome than me! But the truth is obvious. Look at my long, flowing hair! My looks are heaven-defying! How could I possibly be less handsome than him?”

Hearing this, the balding man immediately retorted, ”So what if I lost my hair early! My face looks just like Dwayne ’The Rock’ Johnson’s! That’s pure masculine charm!”

As the two argued heatedly over who was more handsome, Zhao Rong stepped in as a mediator. ”Alright, that’s enough. Stop fighting and stand up. As a fair and impartial observer, I’ll settle this for you. I’ll tell you who’s the more handsome of the two.”

Hearing that this classmate was willing to give a fair verdict, they immediately stopped fighting and got to their feet. After climbing up, the balding man straightened his clothes, dusted himself off, and said to Zhao Rong, ”You don’t even have to say it. I’m obviously the most handsome.”

The long-haired man flicked his long hair in the balding man’s face and said proudly, ”Just based on my head of lustrous black hair, I’ve already crushed this no-hair loser. You’re still too green to compete with me in looks.”

This is the pot calling the kettle black. They’re two of a kind, Zhao Rong thought to himself. He first looked at the balding man and offered his assessment. ”You, balding man, are short, with a big head and a thick neck. You’re either a cook or a boxing champion. Your eyes look like a goldfish’s, and your mouth looks a lot like Benbo’erba from ’Journey to the West’...”

Next, Zhao Rong evaluated the long-haired man. ”Your hair is certainly long and sleek, and your hairstyle is a bit like the Island Country celebrity Takuya Kimura. However, your face... the more I look at it, the more it resembles...”

Although neither of them was happy with the evaluations, they anxiously urged him on, ”Just tell us! Who’s more handsome?”

Zhao Rong made a show of comparing them before delivering his verdict. ”My overall impression is that the long-haired man is a little more handsome. After all, he has hair and you don’t. He’s taller and you’re shorter. He’s thin and you’re fat.”

When the long-haired man heard Zhao Rong declare him the winner, he jumped for joy and high-fived him. ”Dude, you’re so fair and impartial! Honestly, if I weren’t more handsome than this bald guy, what would be the point of living?”

But when the balding man heard Zhao Rong say he was less handsome than the long-haired man, he exploded. He screamed at Zhao Rong, ”You’re just spewing absolute bullshit! So what if I don’t have hair, I’m a little shorter, and a bit fat? There’s no way I’m less handsome than this long-haired punk!”

Hearing the balding man’s foul mouth, Zhao Rong warned him, ”I’m warning you. Watch what you say.”

The balding man didn’t take him seriously at all. ”I’m not gonna watch my mouth,” he said arrogantly. ”In fact, I’m gonna curse you out, and then I’m gonna smash you with a discus!”

With that, he snatched a discus from the ground and charged at Zhao Rong.

Seeing the balding man actively looking for a beating, Zhao Rong warned him one last time. ”Speak politely, and I won’t teach you a lesson. Otherwise, I’m going to show you what humility means.”

The balding man paid him no mind, sneering, ”You’re so short and scrawny, you look like you couldn’t harm a fly. Let me, the Discus Man, teach you a lesson with this!”

Seeing the man charge at him with the discus, Zhao Rong simply executed a swift sidekick that sent him tumbling to the ground. As the balding man fell, the discus in his hands fell with him, landing squarely on his chest.

A piercing scream echoed out. The man lay on the ground, clutching his chest and rolling in agony. ”Aah! Mom! That discus, it broke all seven of my ribs! It hurts so much!”

When the long-haired man saw Zhao Rong take down his rival with a single kick, he immediately shot him a thumbs-up. ”Dude, you’re freaking awesome! You know, I’ve wanted to deal with this guy for ages, but I’ve always been too much of a coward to do anything. You took him down for me today. I don’t know how I can ever thank you.”

Zhao Rong took 5,000 yuan from his Magic Ring, tossed it onto the balding man’s face, and said to the long-haired man, ”If you want to thank me, take him to the hospital.”

With that, Zhao Rong turned and left. As he walked away, he muttered to himself, ”I just came here to watch the discus throwing, but you had to force my hand. Now you have seven broken ribs. You really brought this on yourself.”

As Zhao Rong’s figure receded, the long-haired man picked the 5,000 yuan off the ground and stuffed it into his own pocket. He then turned to the balding man, who was writhing in agony on the ground. ”Baldy, even though we’re friends, deep down I’ve always hated you. So, I’m taking this 5,000 yuan. And no, I’m not taking you to the hospital.”

With that, the long-haired man turned and left. As he walked, he pulled out his phone and dialed his girlfriend. ”Honey, we’re rich! I’m taking you out for a feast tonight!”

Lying on the ground, still pinned by the discus, the balding man watched Zhao Rong disappear in one direction and the long-haired man in the other. He let out a laugh of pure despair. ”Does a man have to suffer such embarrassment just for being handsome? Oh, heavens! Rather than let me suffer for my good looks, why couldn’t you have just made me ugly?”

With that, he passed out.

Zhao Rong wandered around the sports field for a bit, but finding nothing else of interest, he bought an ice cream and sat down in the shade of a tree to enjoy it.

Just as Zhao Rong was getting into his ice cream, Huang Xiaojuan approached from a short distance away. Zhao Rong now knew that Huang Xiaojuan was a man, not a woman. So, when Huang Xiaojuan walked over, sticking out his enormous chest, Zhao Rong was overcome with a wave of nausea. The moment Huang Xiaojuan got close, Zhao Rong couldn’t help but gag a few times.

Seeing this, Huang Xiaojuan gave a coquettish smile. ”What’s wrong, Zhao Rong? Why are you gagging at the sight of me? Don’t you like me?”

Not wanting to give himself away, Zhao Rong made an excuse. ”It’s nothing. I drank a few beers on an empty stomach this morning, so I’m a little woozy.”

Hearing this, Huang Xiaojuan showed immediate concern. ”Zhao Rong, how could you drink on an empty stomach? That’s so bad for you!”

Zhao Rong looked at Huang Xiaojuan’s coy and pretentious act and had the sudden urge to send him flying with a front kick. However, for the sake of getting clues about the corporate spy, Lu Xiaoqiang, he decided to endure it.

Zhao Rong nodded and forced a smile. ”It’s fine. I’ll be alright in a little bit.”

Just as he said that, Huang Xiaojuan suddenly pointed to a man approaching from the distance. ”Zhao Rong, let me introduce you to a new friend! He’s my guy best friend.”

Zhao Rong followed Huang Xiaojuan’s finger and saw a very tall man with fair skin and thin lips walking toward them. The moment Zhao Rong saw him, he recalled the information he’d gathered about Lu Xiaoqiang’s plastic surgery. He shot to his feet, his eyes widening as he stared at the approaching man.
