Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Zhao Rong told his assistant, ”Where else would I have bought it? From an online marketplace, of course...”

But before Zhao Rong could finish, his assistant suddenly screamed, ”Oh my God, no way! According to the XY chromosome results, my gender is supposed to be female, not male?”

When Zhao Rong saw the detector showed his assistant’s gender as female, he immediately performed the Chest Grabbing Dragon Technique on him. ”Assistant, not only do you have no chest, but you have an Adam’s apple and a stick down there. How could you possibly be a woman?”

Pointing at the LCD screen, the assistant said, ”But why does the detector show that I’m a woman?”

Zhao Rong asked him, ”Where did you aim the detector’s lens when you tested it?”

The assistant pointed to his own... area. ”I tested it right here. It should be accurate, right?”

At this, Zhao Rong was also puzzled.

This gender detector I bought from an online marketplace should be good quality. After all, it came with a seven-day no-questions-asked return policy, a six-month warranty, and a three-year parts replacement guarantee. I even specifically checked the seller’s reviews and reputation; the buyer comments were great, and the seller’s credibility was excellent. So, the gender detector couldn’t possibly be the problem. If the detector isn’t broken, and the assistant is definitely a man, then why did the test result show he’s a woman? So what could possibly be wrong?

As Zhao Rong puzzled over this, he happened to glance at the DNA information displayed on the gender detector: Female, 48 years old.

Suddenly, it seemed Zhao Rong understood something. He looked at his assistant and asked, ”Assistant, after Huang Xiaojuan beat you up, did you go to a nearby... establishment?”

Hearing this, the assistant’s face went pale with fright. He stammered, ”You’re talking nonsense! I just passed by a certain place... I didn’t go in or do anything with anyone inside...”

Listening to the assistant’s self-incriminating denial, Zhao Rong immediately understood. He looked at his assistant and said, ”If you didn’t have a... transaction, then why does your... have the DNA of a 48-year-old woman on it?”

It turned out that the gender detector determined gender through DNA chromosomes. When the assistant placed the detector on his..., it first detected the DNA of the woman with whom the assistant had been in contact. That was why the LCD screen displayed a female result.

Zhao Rong showed the DNA chromosome results to his assistant and questioned him again, ”If you didn’t do anything, then how did that woman’s DNA get on your...?”

Rendered speechless, the assistant could only nod and confess. ”Zhao Rong, there’s something you don’t know. When I was passing a certain establishment, a woman who looked about eighteen stood by the door. She grabbed my hand and pulled me inside... Seeing how young and beautiful she was, I didn’t overthink it, and one thing led to another... But I never expected that the woman the detector picked up... would turn out to be 48 years old...”

Finishing his story, the assistant wiped away his tears and said with regret, ”If I’d known she was that old, I would have fought for my life to get away! I never would have followed her into that house...”

Zhao Rong reminded him, ”Makeup techniques these days are practically a Facial Transformation Technique. Even the ugliest person can become a stunning beauty with some careful makeup. An old person can be made to look like an eighteen-year-old with enough foundation, eye makeup, and various touch-ups...”

The assistant cried, ”I’ve seen those makeup removal videos on TikTok, but I never imagined makeup was this powerful in real life, and it had to happen to me... It looks like from now on, I’ll have to keep my eyes wide open and carry a bottle of makeup remover. It’s the only way to avoid being deceived by those heavily made-up... women.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong advised him, ”Assistant, let me give you a piece of advice. Instead of trying to police the world with a bottle of makeup remover, you’d be better off practicing some self-control. Learn to control your... urges and be a disciplined man. You know what they say: a moment’s impatience can ruin a grand plan. Be careful you don’t get burned.”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s words, the assistant could only nod and accept his miserable fate.

* * *

The next morning, Zhao Rong, his assistant, Miss Lili, the beautiful Yu Lan, and the beautiful Xuelian officially enrolled and started their classes at the sports academy.

As the five of them walked across the academy’s sports field, they were a stark contrast to the students around them. The male students at the sports academy were either tall and imposing or short and stocky; even the least impressive ones were still covered in toned muscle.

In contrast, there was Zhao Rong and his assistant.

Neither was very tall, both standing around 1.7 meters. Zhao Rong was incredibly thin, practically skin and bones. His assistant, on the other hand, was so fat his belly nearly hung past his knees.

Before they could even reach the classroom, a shot-putter walked over and blocked their path. ”Hey, you two,” he sneered, ”with physiques like yours, you’re coming to a sports academy to study?”

Seeing the menacing student with a shot put in his hand, Zhao Rong stepped forward and said politely, ”We didn’t come to the sports academy to engage in intense athletics. We just want to improve our health.”

The shot-putter sized Zhao Rong up and down with contempt. ”Improve your health? A guy with a build like yours should be joining the old folks for their public square dancing every night.” With that, he threw his head back and laughed.

Seeing how arrogant the shot-putter was, the assistant immediately stepped forward, pointed at his nose, and cursed, ”Damn it, what fucking business is it of yours that I came here to study? Get the hell out of my way!”

The shot-putter had come looking for trouble, but he hadn’t expected to be cursed out before he could even start. Enraged, he shot back, ”You little punk, you dare curse me? Do you have any idea who I am?”

The assistant scoffed. ”Aren’t you just some guy who throws a heavy ball?”

Realizing he was being looked down upon, the shot-putter puffed out his chest and boasted, ”Let me tell you something. I’m the shot put champion of this entire sports academy.”

Hearing that the man was the shot put champion, Zhao Rong stepped forward, eyed the shot put in his hand, and asked, ”Since you’re the champion, how far can you throw that?”

The shot-putter bounced the metal ball in his palm, squinting at Zhao Rong disdainfully. ”This is a ten-kilogram shot put. I can throw it fifty meters. You probably couldn’t even manage five, could you?”

Hearing that the so-called champion could only throw a ten-kilogram ball fifty meters, Zhao Rong immediately took it from him. ”You say I can’t throw it five meters? Well, let’s just see about that.”

As Zhao Rong prepared to throw, the students passing by looked at him with complete skepticism.

A female fan of the shot-putter clasped her hands, gazing adoringly at her idol before looking down her nose at Zhao Rong. ”If anyone in our sports academy can throw farther than him, I’ll become his concubine in my next life!”

A male fan added, ”We all support our champion! If anyone can beat him, I’ll become his manservant for the rest of my life!”

Zhao Rong looked at the two of them and advised, ”You should be careful with your words, young people. Words, once spoken, are like spilled water. What if you can’t take them back?”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s warning, the female fan mocked him. ”Kid, you’re so short and skinny. If you can throw that shot put five meters, I’ll go drink water from that filthy ditch right now!”

The male fan boasted shamelessly, ”Forget five meters! If this guy can throw this ten-kilogram shot put four meters, I’ll eat this dung beetle right here on the ground!”

Seeing their persistence, Zhao Rong simply hefted the shot put in his hand and tossed it. Without him even appearing to exert any force, the shot put sailed more than two thousand meters into the distance.

When the onlookers saw Zhao Rong toss the shot put as effortlessly as if it were a balloon, they were all left gaping in astonishment, completely in awe of him.

The shot-putter’s two fans stared at Zhao Rong in disbelief. ”Young man, how are you so strong? It’s incredible!”

With that, the female fan ran over to the ditch and began drinking the foul water.

The male fan was so frightened that he lost control of his bladder and bowels. He exclaimed, ”My god, you’re a monster! Your strength is unbelievable! How could you throw such a heavy shot put over two thousand meters? You’ve put our academy’s champion to shame!” Then, he picked the dung beetle up off the ground, tossed it into his mouth, and began chewing with great relish.

Watching the two students get what they deserved, the assistant mocked them. ”They had nothing better to do than to make trouble for themselves.”

Miss Lili laughed heartily. ”One’s drinking stinky water from a ditch and the other is eating a dung beetle off the ground. What a pair of weirdos.”

The beautiful Yu Lan said, unable to look directly at the scene, ”How’s the dung beetle taste? Not bad, right? A bit like chocolate?”

The beautiful Xuelian, however, looked at the woman drinking from the ditch and jeered, ”Hey, miss! There’s a guy peeing upstream from you. You might want to wait a bit before you take another sip...”

As for the so-called shot put champion, when he saw Zhao Rong effortlessly shatter his title with a single toss, he dropped to his knees in front of him. ”Sir, with strength like yours, you could be the champion of not just our school, but the entire country! You could be an Olympic champion! Sir, can you take me as your disciple? I want to learn this incredible power from you. Please?”
