Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

With a single punch from Zhao Rong, a loud bang echoed as a cloud of dust billowed into the air. The assistant felt the ground give way, as if he were falling into a black hole, but before he could fall far, Zhao Rong swiftly grabbed him and pulled him back up.

”Damn it,” Zhao Rong said, surprised. ”What rotten luck. There’s a manhole down there…”

The assistant turned to look at the collapsed manhole cover that Zhao Rong had shattered, his eyes wide. ”What about that four-eyed guy? Where’d he go?”

Just as everyone was searching for the man, a voice drifted up from a nearby septic tank. ”Help! Help me! I’ll never run an extortion scam again! I’ll never try to swindle anyone ever again!”

Hearing the man’s cries, Zhao Rong found a rope and tossed it into the tank. When the four-eyed man saw it, he clung to it like his last lifeline and used every ounce of strength he had to pull himself out. He emerged drenched in raw sewage, the stench so overpowering it was nauseating.

Just as Zhao Rong and his assistant were pinching their noses, unable to stand the smell, the four-eyed man dropped to his knees. He began kowtowing to them, crying, ”Grandfathers, I, the four-eyed man, was wrong! It’s true what they say: one who commits many injustices is doomed to self-destruction… Thank you for throwing that rope into the septic tank and saving me. Otherwise, I would’ve been left to rot in there…”

Hearing that the man had seen the error of his ways and was genuinely remorseful, Zhao Rong had the three young women bring over a high-pressure water hose. While blasting the filth off the man, Zhao Rong lectured him, ”You have to be a kind and honest person. A gentleman may love wealth, but he obtains it through righteous means. Don’t spend your days scheming up crooked ways to get rich.”

The four-eyed man, thoroughly repentant, continued to kowtow. ”Grandfather Zhao Rong, Grandfather Assistant, I know I was wrong! From now on, I will strive to be not only a quiet, handsome man but also a good, honest person!”

Seeing that the man’s change of heart was sincere and came from the depths of his soul, Zhao Rong took out ten thousand yuan from his Magic Ring. He tossed it on the ground in front of the man. ”To know your mistakes and correct them is the greatest virtue. Take this ten thousand yuan as a reward for turning over a new leaf.”

The four-eyed man scrambled to pick up the money, tears of gratitude streaming down his face. ”Grandfather Zhao Rong, I don’t know how to thank you! You’ve given me a new lease on life!”

Zhao Rong helped him to his feet. ”Alright, since you’re a student at the sports academy, go back to your classes and stop overthinking things. Just focus on being a good, honest person. You can forget about being handsome.”

Hearing this, the four-eyed man walked away, still sobbing.

In less than ten minutes, Zhao Rong had dealt with two of the sports academy’s biggest bullies—the Taekwondo user and the boxer—as well as its most notorious scam artist. The surrounding students erupted in a chorus of amazed shouts.

A beautiful young woman who had once been hurt by the boxer, even having had an abortion because of him, stepped forward to thank Zhao Rong. ”Sir, you’ve truly avenged me,” she said. ”I used to be a top member of the academy’s diving team, but the boxer tricked me and got me pregnant, which ruined my entire professional career. I hated him with a passion, but there was nothing I could do to get back at him. Seeing you beat him up today… it brought tears of joy to my eyes.”

Looking at the beautiful woman who had been harmed by such scum, Zhao Rong sighed with regret. ”Ah, such a wonderful girl. Why on earth did you choose him? Well, what’s past is past. Adjust your mindset, make a comeback, and become an excellent diver again.”

Next, a young woman who had been cheated out of more than ten thousand yuan by the Taekwondo user came forward, crying. ”Hero, you’ve really let me vent my frustrations! That Taekwondo guy used the pretense of love to deceive me. He borrowed over ten thousand yuan from me, bit by bit. But as soon as he had my money, he not only refused to be my boyfriend, he disappeared completely. Today, you not only caught him for me but also gave him a thrashing. You’ve truly eased the hatred in my heart!”

Hearing that this seemingly modest young woman had been scammed out of so much money, Zhao Rong immediately took ten thousand yuan from his Magic Ring and offered it to her. ”It’s not easy being a student. You all have to rely on your parents for support. To someone with a job, ten thousand yuan might not be a lot, but for a poor student like you, it’s a huge sum of money.”

With that, he pressed the cash into her hand.

Looking at the money, the young woman cried with gratitude. ”Sir, I’ll consider this a loan. Once I start working, I promise I’ll pay you back.” She then added Zhao Rong on WeChat.

When Zhao Rong accepted her request, he saw her status: *Chu Xiaoming, Captain of the Women’s Artistic Swimming Team.*

His eyes lit up. I can’t believe I ended up helping a beauty from the artistic swimming team.

At the same time, another woman—slender, pretty, and with a lithe figure—approached him. She took his hand and thanked him. ”Hero, teaching that four-eyed scammer a lesson was truly satisfying to see!”

Looking at the lithe woman, Zhao Rong asked with concern, ”Miss, did that four-eyed man scam you out of money, too?”

She nodded, recalling the incident. ”Yes. One day, I was going to the boiler room to get hot water. As I reached the doorway, I accidentally bumped into a very short, ugly man with glasses. Before I could even react, he was on the ground. He started foaming at the mouth, convulsing, and even lost control of his bladder and bowels.”

Hearing how convincing the four-eyed man’s act was, Zhao Rong was simultaneously impressed and curious about the outcome. ”So, how much did that scammer manage to get from you?” he asked.

The lithe woman shook her head. ”He didn’t get a single penny. In fact, I made him pay me ten thousand yuan for emotional distress.”

Hearing that this unassuming, lithe woman was so formidable, Zhao Rong laughed. ”Miss, you’re a real tigress! That’s incredible! I have to ask, what method did you use to turn the tables on that scammer?”

The woman blushed slightly. ”I used a honey trap on him, and then I blackmailed him.”

Hearing the words ”honey trap” and ”blackmail,” Zhao Rong understood immediately. He gave her a thumbs-up. ”You did the right thing. With people like that, you have to give them a taste of their own medicine. You can’t show any mercy or let them get away with it.”

And with that, Zhao Rong left amid the applause and cheers of the crowd.

As Teacher Li led him toward the martial arts department, he looked at Zhao Rong with newfound respect; in fact, he was in complete awe of him. ”Zhao Rong,” Teacher Li said admiringly, ”for someone as badass as you, there’s no need to study at the sports academy, is there? I think you could start your own business or go wander the world as an adventurer. That seems more suited to your skills.”

”One should live and learn,” Zhao Rong replied modestly. ”The sports academy is a good place. I think I should stay and study for a bit.”

He thought to himself, Besides, I’m the only one who knows my real reason for being here: to protect the three young women while I hunt down Lu Xiaoqiang, the traitor who sold out the chairman’s company, Hongda Company. The most frustrating part is that this so-called Lu Xiaoqiang has vanished without a trace, leaving no clues behind.

The reason Zhao Rong was following Teacher Li to the martial arts department was that its club president was said to bear a striking resemblance to Lu Xiaoqiang. Unwilling to miss a single opportunity or clue, Zhao Rong had decided that even if this man wasn’t Lu Xiaoqiang, it was still worth meeting him. He might accidentally stumble upon some useful information.

Before long, the teacher had led Zhao Rong, his assistant, and the three women to the martial arts club.

The club was located in a massive hall filled with all sorts of equipment: punching bags, various training weapons, a fighting ring, boxing gloves, mouth guards, shin guards, and more. Since the martial arts department was a place dominated by men, Zhao Rong’s arrival with three beautiful women inevitably drew the curious stares of many of the martial artists.

Zhao Rong had loved martial arts since he was a child, and when he entered the club and saw these dedicated practitioners, his interest was piqued.

As the president of the martial arts club, he must be exceptional. He’s probably highly skilled, tall, and formidable-looking. Otherwise, how could he be president?

Just then, a short, sleazy-looking man with glasses walked past them, greeting the teacher. ”Teacher Li, back in the martial arts department again today?”

Teacher Li pointed to Zhao Rong, the assistant, and the three women. ”Of course. See how well I take care of your department? Today, I’ve brought you five new students who want to join your club.”

The sleazy man’s eyes swept over the group. A lecherous, drooling smile spread across his face. ”Hello, I’m the president of the martial arts club. My name is He Yanming. Welcome!”

When Zhao Rong heard that this short, sleazy, unimpressive man was the club president he had imagined as a tall, powerful, menacing martial artist, he was so shocked he stumbled and nearly fell to the floor.

He stared at the president, thinking, No way! The gap between this guy and the badass president I imagined is just too damn big!
