Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Zhao Rong looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings and exclaimed in surprise, ”Good heavens, how did I just accidentally teleport...”

Xuelianmei also gazed at the beautiful scenery. ”Zhao Rong, where are we? The landscape is so magnificent, it’s simply intoxicating...”

Zhao Rong, admiring the view himself, felt irresistibly drawn to it. ”This must be the legendary Heaven Lake.”

Hearing this, Xuelianmei’s interest was immediately piqued. ”Zhao Rong, if this is Heaven Lake, where do you think we can find the Heaven Lake Magnolia?”

Zhao Rong gazed toward the lake at the top of a nearby mountain. ”Since the flower we’re looking for is called the Heaven Lake Magnolia, it must be a beautiful blossom that grows along the shores of Heaven Lake.”

Xuelianmei, looking at the lake on the mountain peak, said with a flutter in her heart, ”Zhao Rong, if only we could be by the lakeside...”

Xuelianmei hadn’t even finished her sentence when Zhao Rong’s mind began to race.

Does she want to... be with me by the lakeside? If we were... while admiring the beautiful lake... the scene would be too beautiful to even imagine...

Looking at Xuelianmei, Zhao Rong immediately fished some contraceptives out of his pocket. ”Xuelianmei, I came prepared this time. I brought these.”

When Xuelianmei saw the contraceptives in his hand, she said awkwardly, ”Zhao Rong, I meant that we could row a boat on the lake, enjoy the scenery, and catch some little fish... Not what you’re thinking.”

Hearing her words, Zhao Rong hastily stuffed the condoms back into his pocket and laughed sheepishly. ”Xuelianmei, I’m so sorry. I completely misunderstood you.”

With that, Zhao Rong took Xuelianmei’s hand, and they started walking toward the mountain summit. After about an hour, they reached the peak. When Zhao Rong saw the stone monument standing there, he couldn’t help but read the two large characters carved into it aloud.

”Heaven Lake... so this really is Heaven Lake. It seems our Instant Teleportation was quite precise after all.”

Meanwhile, Xuelianmei was mesmerized by the sparkling surface of the lake and the stunning view where the water met the sky. ”This place is so romantic,” she said, moved by the sight. ”If I were ever to give myself to someone for the first time, I would definitely choose to do it here.”

Zhao Rong was stunned for a moment. He then pointed to a small inn by the shore. ”Xuelianmei, there’s a small inn over there. If you’re serious, we could go...”

Xuelianmei turned and saw the small, wooden inn in the distance. As she walked toward it, she said to Zhao Rong, ”Zhao Rong, let’s go check into the inn first.”

Hearing that she wanted to check in, Zhao Rong grew excited. ”Xuelianmei, are you sure? Do you really want us to give our first time to each other here?”

When Xuelianmei realized Zhao Rong had misunderstood her yet again, she blushed and explained, ”Zhao Rong, I suggested going to the inn not to get a room, but to ask the owner if they know where we can find the Heaven Lake Magnolia.”

Realizing he had jumped to the wrong conclusion once more, Zhao Rong wished he could slap himself. He apologized profusely to Xuelianmei. ”I’m so sorry. We men are animals who think with our lower halves, and my mind just drifted to those things without me realizing it. Please forgive me, and don’t take it personally. I swear I’ll fix this bad habit.”

As they spoke, they arrived at the small lakeside inn.

The moment Zhao Rong and Xuelianmei stepped into the courtyard, something miraculous happened. The watch on Xuelianmei’s wrist spun counterclockwise one full rotation, and the date changed from July 31st to July 30th. Just as her watch reversed, Zhao Rong’s phone alarm began to ring.

Taking out his phone, Zhao Rong muttered in confusion, ”My alarm is set for six in the morning, but it’s six in the evening right now. Why is it going off?”

As he puzzled over it, he noticed the calendar on his phone had also gone back one day.

He couldn’t help but look at Xuelianmei in astonishment. ”No way... Did we walk into a time machine and go back to yesterday?”

Xuelianmei was equally amazed. ”This is so strange. Could there be something in this inn that makes time flow backward?”

Just as they were staring at each other, utterly baffled, a beautiful woman with a stunning figure walked out of the inn. She smiled at them. ”Hello, strangers. Welcome to the Time-Reversing Hotel.”

When they heard the name of the inn, Zhao Rong and Xuelianmei gasped in shock.

Zhao Rong looked at the woman. ”Hello, miss. If we stay at your hotel, does time really go back one day?”

The innkeeper nodded with a smile. ”If you stay in our hotel for one day, time will reverse by one day.

”If you stay for two days, time will reverse by four days.

”If you stay for three days, time will reverse by nine days...

”It continues in that pattern, reversing by the square of the number of days you stay...”

Hearing how miraculous the hotel was, a bold idea immediately formed in Zhao Rong’s mind.

If I stay here for three days, wouldn’t that send me back nine days? That’s the exact day Miss Lili and Yu Lan were kidnapped! I could stop it from ever happening! I might even be able to catch the mastermind behind it all!

He turned to Xuelianmei. ”Xuelianmei, let’s stay here for two days. That will send us back four days, and I can get to the dormitory entrance in time to stop those two kidnappers from taking Miss Lili and Yu Lan. If I stop the kidnapping, they won’t get poisoned, either!”

Xuelianmei immediately understood. She nodded and said, ”Zhao Rong, you’re right. Since this hotel is a Time Reversal Machine, we should just stay here for two days and travel back to the day of the incident. If we can rescue Miss Lili and Yu Lan, then we won’t need to look for the so-called Heaven Lake Magnolia anymore.”

Just as Zhao Rong and Xuelianmei were about to put their plan into action, the innkeeper of the Time-Reversing Hotel offered a kind warning. ”Although time can reverse while you’re in this hotel and you can return to the past, when you get there, you will encounter your past selves. Here at the Time-Reversing Hotel, only time can travel backward, not a person’s body.”
