Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

48: : Cut off Lü Tao’s head with one strokeAfter the man returned with the food, he quickly mixed the hard-won milk powder for his two children and prepared a bag of instant noodles for his son and wife. He only drank two sips of the noodle soup before heading back out.

He arrived outside Lü Tao’s courtyard gate and observed from a distance, turning himself into a statue while waiting for an opportunity. He was waiting for the lackey who had escaped his notice, Li Sanshui, to come out.

Minutes and hours passed by. The outside temperature had dropped to over ten degrees below zero. He crouched behind the roots of a large tree, and although he was shaking like a sieve from the cold, he endured it without a word, his eyes fixed deathly on Lü Tao’s tightly closed courtyard gate.

Finally, as darkness fell, the frozen courtyard gate moved.

Li Sanshui emerged from within, holding two large bags of trash in his left hand and answering a phone call with his right.

Bai Zichuan gripped the Kitchen knife in his hand, ready to rush forward and hack Li Sanshui to death while he was off guard, but he suddenly noticed dozens of people running toward Li Sanshui like thieves in the distance.

Bai Zichuan quickly retreated and hid, faintly hearing these people say, ”Sanshui, is what you said true? As long as we launch a forced assault on Si Nan, Young Master Lü will give us food regardless of whether we succeed?”

Li Sanshui stiffened his neck and guaranteed, ”When has Young Master Lü ever lied about what he promised you? Have you finished making the things he asked for?”

“We did, we did, it’s right here. Brother Sanshui, I heard that little woman Si Nan is quite calculating. She turned her little house into an indestructible steel fortress that’s incredibly sturdy. With these gadgets we made, can we really take her house down?

What if it doesn’t work?”

”There are no ’what ifs’! Brother Tao said she’s just a woman. He can scare her to death just by firing a few rounds from over the courtyard wall.” Li Sanshui interrupted the man’s cowardice, not wanting him to influence the others.

”Oh, right, right. If Young Master Lü has a gun, then we have nothing to fear. That thing is extraordinary; one shot will blow that little girl away, hahaha~”

Upon hearing this, everyone gained confidence, as if they would soon take down Si Nan’s house and divide the food inside. Everyone was filled with excitement.

They had seen her livestream; they liked every single dish. They hadn’t eaten meat for days, and just thinking about it made them drool.

Bai Zichuan, who was eavesdropping, quickly sent a message to warn Si Nan: ”The lackey said they have a big gun and are going to shoot you. Lü Tao is going too.”

Si Nan: ”---”

Shoot her?

She replied with a smile: ”Don’t worry, Lü Tao won’t be coming. This is actually a great opportunity for you. It will be your chance when those people come to launch their assault on me.”

”Understood, understood. I was thinking the same thing.” After replying, Bai Zichuan continued to wait.

By now, it was around seven in the evening. Si Nan cooked herself a delicious bowl of beef noodles, paired with a plate of fragrant stir-fried eggs with chili, and began her perfect meal.

While eating, she checked the surveillance footage as usual. Over at the high-rise residential buildings, several men were specifically lurking at the first-floor elevators. As soon as someone came down to take out the trash, they would quietly follow them back inside to commit home invasion and rob them of their food.

Many households had already been robbed. Those Property Owners cried out for their parents, kneeling and begging in tears, but what little food they had left was still entirely taken away.

Meanwhile, at the two main gates of the residential area, dozens of Property Owners were fully armed. They had the security guards open the small side gates to let them out to search for supplies.

Si Nan cleared away her dishes and walked to the window to look at the zombies outside. They were almost entirely covered by the blizzard. Some were in a light sleep, motionless like snowmen, while others were still moving stiffly, searching for warm places and fresh food.

But most of the zombies had entered a state of light sleep. The temperature outside was over ten degrees below zero, and after their bodies had been attacked and bitten, their clothes were tattered. Their bodies were more or less missing parts, and some even had their internal organs exposed and frozen into ice shards that would shatter at a touch.

Such freezing weather caused the zombies’ speed and movements to slow down significantly. It was indeed a good opportunity to go out and look for supplies.

She couldn’t help but glance again at the 3 oil tankers and 4 express delivery containers not far away. She immediately decided: ”Once Lü Tao’s men are all dead, I’m going out to get them.”

If she didn’t act soon, they would be taken by the official supply search teams, and she was afraid it wouldn’t be her turn.

With her understanding of zombies and her skills, she was ninety percent certain she could quietly take those 3 oil tankers and 4 express delivery containers and return safely.

She stood still in front of the window, observing the zombies outside. As it got later, the temperature dropped further, and more zombies entered a light sleep.

Looking out under the streetlights, some zombies were still trembling as they left the open main roads and moved toward the lit residential buildings where people lived.

This left the area around the oil tankers and express delivery containers much emptier. This was her ”good opportunity!”

Si Nan was overjoyed and quickly took out an Aviation thermal suit from her space. It was both warm and lightweight; it was sold in the Century Department Store and cost a fortune for a single set.

Normally, she wouldn’t even dare enter the shop. Now, let alone the entire shop, she had even performed a ’zero-dollar purchase’ of the entire shopping mall. Everything was neatly arranged in her space, complete with the display shelves.

She quickly changed into it, fully arming herself and getting ready. She then selected a few handy weapons and tucked them into her coat for easy access. Everything was ready; all she needed was the ’winter wind’ that was Lü Tao.

An hour later, nearing 9 PM, most people in the residential area were not asleep; instead, they were becoming more alert from hunger.

A new message suddenly arrived on her phone: ”The large squad to assault you has set out, led by Li Sanshui. You were right, Lü Tao isn’t with them.

The strange thing is that each of them is carrying a black trash bag. The contents are very heavy. I can’t tell what it is, but I have a bad feeling. Be careful.

I’ve also made my move. Heaven is helping me; the last person to come out was so preoccupied with fantasizing about how many good things you have that he forgot to close the courtyard gate.”

Si Nan curled her lips: ”Reward: one bag of Ham sausages.”

”Thank you so much.” The man was incredibly excited and grateful. His children would have meat to eat. Seeing the words ’Ham sausages,’ he was suddenly filled with strength. He gripped his Kitchen knife and sprinted toward Lü Tao’s door.

Lü Tao, lying on the bed, heard footsteps. Thinking Li Sanshui had returned because he forgot something, he opened his mouth and cursed, ”Why the hell did you roll back here, you bastard? Do you not know how to use this high-end stuff? Didn’t I teach you?”

Because he had been shot in the chest and buttocks, he could only sleep on his side. He had just managed to turn over, and his face happened to be facing the inside of the bed, so he couldn’t see who was coming behind him at all.

After he realized something was wrong, he quickly bared his teeth and tried to lie flat, raising the gun in his hand.

However, with a ”clatter,” a Kitchen knife suddenly appeared and knocked his handgun away.

Bai Zichuan resolutely gave Lü Tao no chance to react. He pressed down on Lü Tao’s head with his left hand and swung the knife down at Lü Tao’s neck.

Only then did Lü Tao feel fear, and he immediately begged for mercy, ”Wait, as long as you don’t kill me, I’ll give you all the food in my house—”

”What do you think?”

*Squelch!*

”Ah!”

Bai Zichuan did not hesitate at all. One stroke of the knife severed Lü Tao’s neck. The pleasure of revenge made his hatred for Lü Tao boil over; he hacked three times in a row before he felt satisfied. The final stroke completely severed Lü Tao’s head.

*Thud, thud...* The bloody head rolled onto the floor. Lü Tao’s eyes were still open, staring at Bai Zichuan as he died without closing them.

”You, you, you deserve to die. If you hadn’t let Li Sanshui steal my food, I wouldn’t have killed you.”

After all, it was his first time killing someone. The Kitchen knife in Bai Zichuan’s hand fell to the floor with a ”clatter,” and he collapsed weakly onto the ground.

He looked at Lü Tao’s bloody head, the eyes staring at him in death, and the bright red blood flowing from the cut on Lü Tao’s neck on the bed. It soaked the pure white down duvet, blooming into larger and larger blood-colored flowers.

Then it flowed down the edge of the bed onto the floor, right by his feet, about to soak his shoes. He scrambled back in fear and rolled to his feet. Only then did he belatedly realize he should take out his phone with trembling hands to record a video. He took a close-up of the bloody, severed head and body and sent it to Si Nan.

”I-I-I succeeded. Next is Li-Li-Li-Li Sanshui.”

After sending the voice message, Bai Zichuan picked up Lü Tao’s handgun, stood up shakily, and forced himself to calm down to quickly gather the supplies.

At the same time, Si Nan went up to the third floor and observed the situation outside through an observation hole reserved in the bulletproof glass. The next second, countless homemade bombs made from various bottles flew toward her courtyard.
