Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

15: A chance encounter with a rich, seemingly innocent womanSi Nan didn’t care anymore; she admired the place inside and out, up and down, noting down the items she needed to add. The house had already been cleaned, so she just needed to go over the details once more.

No sooner said than done, she put everything where it belonged, threw away what needed to be tossed, and moved things around; the entire house had much better natural lighting than before.

Not only had the third floor undergone a massive transformation, but the main living and activity areas on the second floor had also seen major overhauls.

Aside from replacing the exterior windows with double-layered bulletproof glass, the balcony had been widened to increase activity space, and retractable drying racks were added. She even placed two pots of her favorite flowers, Gardenias and lilies—it was absolutely wonderful.

The bedroom furniture was custom-made, with every inch of space utilized efficiently; clothes, hats, shoes, socks, bags, and jewelry all had their own storage cabinets.

Standing on the second-floor corridor and looking down at the front and back yards, she realized that aside from the necessary activity areas, she could completely transform the yard into a pastoral world filled with the fragrance of flowers and the song of birds.

”This is a perfect residence renovated specifically for the apocalypse. My goodness, if I didn’t know better, I’d think Luo Sen had been reborn just like me.”

”And that Indestructible Shimmering Gate that I fell in love with at first sight—it’s even more majestic than the one at Luo Sen’s house, hahaha~”

Si Nan was overjoyed. She spent the entire afternoon getting the little villa in order. She took out several delicious dishes from a high-end hotel from her space and sat at the dining table, enjoying her meal. ”Mmm, this is a true sense of security, the feeling of home.”

After dinner, seeing that it was just past 7:00 PM, she took her list and headed out, driving straight to a brand-name furniture mall without stopping.

She had moved the old sofas to the lookout on the third floor. When the apocalypse arrived next month, she could lie there, basking in the sun, and laugh as she watched the Zombies tear apart those who had caused her death.

As for the living area on the second floor, she had to buy the most comfortable sofa set for the living room and put a cozy lounge chair on the balcony. Besides, her two satellite phones had been downloading movies and TV shows constantly; wouldn’t it be wonderful to lie there and pass the time once the apocalypse came?

This furniture mall was the best in the city, carrying everything from domestic to international brands. However, Si Nan bypassed the foreign brands and went straight to the domestic floor, walking into her favorite brand’s store.

Upon entering, she spotted a sofa set in a color she liked, designed as a chaise lounge—perfect for the apocalypse. Before she could speak, a shrill, biting voice rang out behind her:

”Oh, isn’t this the Si Nan who likes wearing iron hoops? Here to look at sofas too? But are you here just to admire them, or are you planning to buy just one leg to take home?”

”Hahaha, Li Na, don’t look down on her. She’s a girl with a Boyfriend. Oh, wait, she was dumped by Gao Ming.”

”Really? I didn’t even know. Gao Ming... he didn’t say!”

Si Nan turned around. Standing behind her was Li Na, who was wearing a miniskirt and showing off her bare legs despite it being the middle of winter, along with that flamboyant slut Han Jiajia by her side.

Li Na was flaunting her relationship. It was obvious without even thinking: on one hand, Gao Ming was desperately pretending to try and win her back, while on the other, he truly wanted to climb the social ladder by latching onto a wealthy young lady like Li Na. After all, cheating and acting were what Gao Ming did best.

It really must have been hard for Gao Ming, acting in front of her for three years. Today, he finally found a Golden Thigh to climb. In the future, he might only need to use his lower body to reach the top and win the Beauty as well. How could he possibly give that up?

Unfortunately, this Si Nan was no longer the Si Nan of the past; she didn’t even have the interest to acknowledge Li Na.

And then there was Han Jiajia, that flamboyant slut. Despite her family being dirt poor, she insisted on dressing like a rich girl looking for clients just to bridge the gap between herself and Li Na.

She didn’t even look at her own cheap, high-imitation outfit. The vixen scent she gave off was comparable to a male fox in heat at the zoo, yet there she was, trying to make her presence felt.

”Oh, it’s you two. Good dogs don’t block the path. Since you like Gao Ming so much that you’re willing to trample on me in public for him, why be so polite?”

”I’ve long since stopped wanting Gao Ming. You two can have him to play with.”

Si Nan curled her lips into a smile and brushed past them, walking toward a female clerk who was too embarrassed to stop them.

”Si Nan, what nonsense are you talking? Believe it or not, I’ll rip your mouth apart! You lunatic, are you trying to show off all that flab on you?” Li Na was nearly knocked over and only refrained from rushing up to tear into Si Nan because of her image as a wealthy young lady.

”Oh my, Li Na, are you okay? No wonder Gao Ming said Si Nan has been acting strange lately—quitting her job and losing her mind. It seems it’s true. She even dared to bump into you; she clearly doesn’t want her job anymore.”

Han Jiajia seized the opportunity to fan the flames. Her goal was to remind the simple-minded Li Na to fire Si Nan, making herself look clever and capable in front of Li Na to gain more benefits.

”Hello, miss. Have you taken a liking to this sofa set? We have another set inside; let’s go take a look. You really have an eye for quality; this is new stock that just arrived this morning. If you like it, I can ask the manager for the lowest price for you.”

”Lowest price? That’s hilarious. She couldn’t afford it even at the lowest price. This sofa is marked at 169,000. Do you expect Si Nan to sell herself? Hahaha~ I’ll take this set. I’ll pay in full and just give it to Gao Ming.”

Li Na was laughing hysterically, chasing after Si Nan to provoke her.

Han Jiajia looked at the incredibly precious sofa with envy. She wanted it so badly; the sofa in her rented room had long since rotted away. In a moment of heat, she whispered to Li Na:

”Why don’t you make Si Nan get on her knees and beg you? Tell her if she begs you, you’ll go back and talk to the company’s finance department to give her a six-month salary advance.”

”I’m not helping her.” The brainless Li Na had taken the bait, not yet understanding Han Jiajia’s intent.

Han Jiajia felt contempt in her heart—what a pig-brain—but on the surface, she remained all smiles, acting like Li Na’s toady.

”How could we possibly help her? We’re just tricking her. She almost knocked you down just now; this is to humiliate her in public and vent your anger.”

”Fine, we’ll do as you say. Hurry and stop Si Nan! She’s leaving.”

Si Nan walked straight out of the store while the female clerk behind her tried her best to make her stay. ”We can discuss the price further!”

”If it’s something a White Lotus likes, I don’t want it.” Si Nan walked out of the store without looking back.

Han Jiajia stepped forward, spreading her bright red arms to block Si Nan. ”What’s the rush? If you don’t have enough money, just say so. Our Eldest Miss Li is kind-hearted; she has something to say to you.”

After being interrupted repeatedly, Si Nan was already displeased. If she didn’t humiliate these two flamboyant sluts right here, she probably wouldn’t be able to buy a sofa tonight. She crossed her arms and looked at the posturing Li Na behind her. ”Fine, spit it out.”
