Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

1: Reborn, I’ll kick that scumbag boyfriend to the curb first!Pain, extreme pain!

Si Nan lay in a pool of blood, watching helplessly as the people she had sheltered swung kitchen knives, iron bars, hammers, clubs, and rolling pins, hitting her body again and again.

Every time a weapon was raised, it sprayed fresh blood. She could clearly feel her life force draining away rapidly, but she had long since lost the strength to protect herself.

Looking at these friends, colleagues, and neighbors with their twisted faces, she felt immense regret. But she hated herself even more for being blind and foolish. In this post-apocalyptic world where zombies had suddenly broken out and resources were scarce, why did she have to be so soft-hearted and take these people in!

Especially behind the crowd, that despicable man who had pretended to love her deeply for three years was now watching her being hacked by the group, his eyes filled with excitement!

Once, she thought she had found true love in the vast sea of people, but it was actually nothing more than an elaborate scam!

As darkness closed in before her eyes, Si Nan clearly heard the scum’s heartless suggestion: ”Alright, Brother Tao, hurry up and throw her into the zombie horde outside the courtyard wall. Let’s start counting the supplies and dividing the stuff. You promised to give me one room and two portions of food.”

It was this scum who had lied to her, saying there was strength in numbers and that he had already made an agreement with these people. They only wanted a safe courtyard to stay in and would resolutely stay away from the house.

As a condition for sheltering them, we could shoot them at will if they made any suspicious moves, and they had to hunt the zombies that occasionally climbed over the wall and provide us with half of the vegetables they grew in the courtyard every day.

In reality, the target was only her!

This scum had long ago teamed up with these people to plot the seizure of her house and the division of her resources! She wished she could crawl up and tear this scum apart with her bare hands, devouring him piece by piece.

Sure enough, her body left the ground, but in the next second, the bone-chilling wind bit into her entire body. With the wind howling in her ears, she was lifted and thrown out the window like a bag of trash.

Then, she was caught by a dense pack of zombies. At the moment her body was torn apart, she couldn’t even feel the pain.

Feathery snow drifted from the sky. How she wished all of this could start over, so she could let that despicable man and all those who killed her experience the agony of being torn apart alive.

She would use the hot blood of these people to write a warning for herself: in another life, she would never be a fool again!

”Ouch—”

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through Si Nan’s head. She snapped her eyes open and saw a vase that had shattered on the ground after hitting her head. Touching the large bump on her crown, she couldn’t believe it: ”Huh? Wasn’t I torn apart by a zombie horde? Why am I here? Could it be that I—have been reborn!”

Si Nan quickly looked around. Everything was all too familiar. This was the four-bedroom apartment she rented with that despicable man and his buddies and colleagues.

Today was her day off, and she was cleaning the living room. Just now, she had been reaching for the vase on top of the refrigerator, intending to buy a few lilies when she went out for groceries later.

Ignoring the glass shards, she rushed to the window to look outside. The road was busy with traffic; there were children skipping along while holding their elders’ hands, couples crossing the street hand-in-hand, and delivery riders speeding ahead on their electric bikes. There were no zombies; everything was thriving.

She hurriedly looked for her phone. The time displayed was: ”November 1st, Northern Calendar 2070? That—that means there’s only one month left before the zombie outbreak on December 1st!”

Moreover, that massive zombie outbreak had come without any warning. No one knew the cause, and it was global and extremely sudden, catching people completely off guard.

Many cities fell in an instant, overrun by zombies. Every city was surrounded by dense packs of zombies in less than an hour. The streets and alleys were full of them, biting anyone they saw. There was simply no way to escape, and her City A was no exception!

In the beginning, The Authorities were still attempting rescues, cordoning off areas to create safe zones and deploying many soldiers to search for people who hadn’t been infected by zombie bites. Later, the situation became increasingly uncontrollable, and even the cordoned-off cities fell.

The Authorities were forced to abandon the cities and flee, turning their focus to pacifying the public, telling everyone to find their own ways to evade the zombies, store living supplies as quickly as possible, and then lock their doors and stay inside.

They also claimed they would figure out what was going on as soon as possible and develop an antidote.

Coming back to her senses, Si Nan felt a chill run through her entire body: ”No, in this life, I absolutely cannot sit and wait for death, and I certainly can’t be a soft-hearted idiot again. In this life, I will not only survive, but I will live with quality and survive until the very end!”

Without another word, Si Nan took advantage of the fact that the scum hadn’t returned from his lunch break to pack her things and leave. To avoid raising the scum’s suspicion, she left him a note and only took her valuables, fleeing all the way back to the small rural villa her parents had left her.

This was a small 150-square-meter villa with a front and back yard, backed by the sea. It was also a safety fortress, built by her father’s own hands.

After her father retired from a certain special forces unit, he became a structural engineer. After she was born, he planned to build the safest and most comfortable small villa for her and her mother.

That way, when he wasn’t home, the house could protect her and her mother in his stead.

But once the house was built, he and her mother were both killed by a large truck while out picking furniture—so she hated this house. After handling her parents’ funeral, she never returned.

Because of that hatred, she never spoke about her past when she met the scum, only saying she was an orphan. It was only when the apocalypse arrived that she had no choice but to struggle her way back here.

Unfortunately, it ultimately became her grave!

She felt lucky that she had at least never told the scum about it.

Standing before the gate of the small villa, the scene before her death was still vivid in her mind. That pain was real and tangible, as if it had happened just yesterday!

Si Nan composed herself, opened the long-sealed courtyard gate, and walked in. The gaps between the bricks in the yard were overgrown with weeds, but now every weed in the courtyard looked lovely to her.

Every brick and tile here had been meticulously selected and laid by her father’s own hands; they were all expressions of her father’s love for her and her mother. It was the drunk truck driver who had killed her parents, not this house. she had been wrong for many years.

”Dad, Mom, your daughter is back,” Si Nan shouted toward the empty courtyard, feeling a sense of relief.

Afterward, she locked the main gate, calmed her emotions, and began to plan. ”Don’t panic, take it slow. As long as I’m fully prepared, I can survive in the apocalypse.”

However, to survive and fight off both people and zombies, this house must be renovated.”

Si Nan opened the door, and several familiar pieces of furniture came into view. She set down her suitcase, quickly turned on the water and electricity, and after cleaning the tabletop, she took out a pen and paper to note down every part of the house that needed renovation.

In her past life, she knew exactly how those zombies and those people who wanted to steal her house had attacked it.

After writing it down, she added up all her money. ”A total of 780,000. Fortunately, I’ve been frugal over the years and wasn’t foolish enough to reveal my savings to that scum, Gao Ming.”

But this amount of money wasn’t even enough to renovate this small villa, let alone store a massive amount of supplies. How could she get a large sum of money as quickly as possible?
