Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

20: I want to put one of them in jail! She believed their company wouldn’t want word of this getting out either; it would damage the company’s reputation and its standing in the hearts of the Property Owners. They might even find it difficult to collect Property Management fees in the future.

Si Nan didn’t bother wasting her breath on a woman like Cui Qingqing. She entered Manager Xue’s office, where the staff served her fine tea and fruit. She wasn’t polite and helped herself, thinking it would be a waste not to eat.

The people from the Security Section arrived quickly. Manager Xue immediately led them to another office, but before the security personnel could fully understand the situation, a loud voice erupted from the front desk.

”Who wants to call the police on my daughter? Step forward!” On this side, Cui Qingqing had taken the opportunity to call her mother over.

Wang Meilan arrived with a vicious expression, looking ready to settle scores. Even Cui Qingqing couldn’t stop her. ”Mom, keep it down, we’ve been exposed.”

”What do you mean exposed? We haven’t broken the law,” Wang Meilan said, still not realizing the gravity of the situation.

Manager Xue stepped out. ”You certainly have broken the law. Reclaiming the phone number of the deceased Property Owner of unit c-108 without authorization, having your daughter pose as the daughter of the owner of 108 to deceive Property Management and the true owner, Miss Si Nan, and fraudulently claiming ten years of community benefits totaling over ten thousand yuan—this in itself is a crime.”

The security personnel understood now. ”Reclaiming someone else’s mobile number without permission and deceiving both the original owner and Property Management makes for three major charges. On top of that, having the audacity to impersonate the original owner to claim ten years of benefits makes her a habitual offender. This is beyond the scope of our Security Section; let’s call 110.”

”Right. Although our company values its reputation, we cannot condone such criminal behavior. Call the police immediately,” the Security Section Chief decided on the spot.

When Wang Meilan heard that everything had been exposed and even the Security Section Chief had come to handle it, she realized the matter was serious and immediately stepped forward to block them.

”Huh? You can’t call the police! My niece herself agreed to this. She said she didn’t care for that oil and rice and gave them to me. I only had someone help me get a new SIM card because I didn’t want to trouble you all.”

”Mom, Si Nan is—” Cui Qingqing tried to stop her. Her mother didn’t know, but she did—Si Nan herself was sitting right there in the office.

Moreover, her mother didn’t know when to keep her mouth shut. How could she mention having someone help her get the card? This was only making things worse and would even implicate her friend.

”Be quiet!”

But Wang Meilan, feeling quite full of herself, gave her daughter no chance to speak. After scolding her daughter, she turned back with a fawning smile to Manager Xue and the Security Section Chief.

”Besides, how much could that free oil and rice even be worth? There’s no need to go as far as calling the police, is there? Si Nan herself isn’t pursuing this, so Property Management shouldn’t meddle in other people’s business.”

Manager Xue and the Security Section Chief felt a wave of disdain. They had never seen such a brazen Property Owner!

If it wasn’t worth much, why did you go to such lengths with your daughter to impersonate the owner of 108? It seemed this owner was an old hand at this and likely did such things often.

Seeing that dragging this out would only waste more of her time, Si Nan walked out of the office and stood directly in front of Wang Meilan. ”Oh? I wonder when Cousin Aunt Wang discussed this with me? Why don’t I know about this?

She pointed at the neatly stacked boxes in the office and said, ”Don’t try to flatter me. This is a bottle of first-grade pressed peanut oil worth over 100 yuan and imported fragrant rice. I usually can’t even bring myself to buy these for myself.

Since you usually eat better than this, Cousin Aunt Wang, and claim to look down on these things, then why did you reclaim my mother’s phone number without permission?

And why did you have your daughter impersonate me to claim things that should have belonged to me for ten years? Answer me!”

”Si Nan? Why are you here? I—” Wang Meilan was exposed on the spot, her old face looking extremely unsightly. She had no idea Si Nan was in the office; she thought Property Management had just found out on their own.

She never expected Si Nan would know about the community distribution and come straight to Property Management instead of looking for her at home. She was doing this out of spite!

At this moment, Wang Meilan’s hatred for Si Nan soared. She wanted to pounce and scratch Si Nan to death, but she knew she was in the wrong, and this was the Property Management office. No matter how much she hated her, she didn’t dare make a move.

She could only suppress her hatred and anger, bowing her head in submission. ”This was my fault. I did everything alone; it has nothing to do with my daughter. I am willing to return all the oil and rice I received to Si Nan. Please, just don’t call the police.”

”Miss Si, what do you think?” Manager Xue frowned. It was obvious that Wang Meilan still didn’t understand the severity of the situation and wanted to brush it off, which was certainly impossible.

Si Nan looked past Manager Xue at Wang Meilan. ”That’s it? How are you going to return it? You’ve already eaten ten years’ worth of goods; what do you have to return? Do you plan to walk out that door and buy moldy rice for me? Or buy ten bottles of gutter oil for me?

The items are secondary. What I hate most is that even though my mother is gone, you won’t let her rest in peace. Aren’t you afraid my mother will come to settle scores with you in the middle of the night?”

”Si Nan, you’re going too far! Why are you scaring my mom like that? It’s just some free junk, isn’t it? We’ll just pay you back double,” Cui Qingqing snapped.

”Qingqing, what do you mean pay her back double? Don’t get involved in this,” Wang Meilan hurriedly stopped her, not wanting to pay Si Nan so much and not wanting her daughter to get mixed up in it.

Si Nan’s patience had also run out. She suddenly said in a cold tone, ”Very well. Since you’re both so stubborn, there’s nothing left to say.

”Manager Xue, you saw it too. Even if you wanted to give them a way out, they don’t appreciate it.

”And I care even less for her compensation. Just call 110. I want one of them in prison!”

”Fine. Chief, call the police.” Manager Xue hadn’t expected that while he wanted to settle the matter quietly, Wang Meilan and her daughter would be so unrestrained that they’d provoke Miss Si.

Calling the police was fine. Although the company’s image would take a hit, it would also serve as a warning to other Property Owners.

The Security Section Chief immediately picked up his phone. ”Hello, 110? I’m at— beep beep.”

”You can’t call the police!” Wang Meilan snatched the Security Section Chief’s phone away. In front of everyone, she fell to her knees before Si Nan with a ’thud’.

”Everything is my fault. It has nothing to do with your cousin Qingqing. I’ll kowtow to you right now, and we’ll call it even.”

Si Nan laughed and dodged away. ”Hahaha, enough. Stop acting and trying to use moral kidnapping on me. Let me ask you, if I killed your daughter and then kowtowed to her corpse, would you let it go?”

”Si Nan, you’re driving us to our deaths! I’ll tear you apart!” Wang Meilan scrambled up from the ground and lunged at Si Nan, her jagged nails reaching for Si Nan’s face.

”Get lost!” Si Nan kicked her out without hesitation.
