Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

27: That’s as if they’re an old married couple. She guessed that none of the residents in the community had considered this point yet, because on the way back, the passing Property Owners were saying that the Zombies outside had merely contracted some kind of disease, like being poisoned, and could still be cured.

Therefore, she had to store as much clean water as possible while she still could.

Then, she turned on the heating in the room—the electricity was still working at this point—before taking off her clothes, sealing them in a plastic bag, and throwing them out the window over the courtyard wall.

The Apocalypse had already arrived, so no one would hold her accountable for littering; those clothes had to be dealt with.

The final step was to turn on the room’s disinfection filtration system and sterilize the entire space.

After cleaning herself up, she checked all safety measures, locked all three different security locks on the courtyard gate and room door, then started blow-drying her hair, charging her phone, and finally collapsed into bed, exhausted from the day.

What she didn’t know while sleeping was that a bloody incident occurred in the latter half of the night, and her actions had inspired someone: the Community Guard who refused to open the door for her.

He was very smart. Before the other Property Owners could react, and just after Si Nan had cleared the Zombies at the community entrance, he called down two male Property Owners he knew at dawn. Under the cover of night, the three of them broke into a Convenience Store near the community gate, killed the female owner inside, and looted the supplies.

Because the commotion was too loud, it attracted the attention of other Property Owners upstairs. Consequently, many Property Owners from that building rushed down to join the scramble. The guard and the two Property Owners naturally disagreed, leading to an immediate shootout, resulting in many people being killed or injured.

This ultimately attracted nearby wandering Zombies, nearly wiping them out completely. When they retreated, only four or five people remained. The guard was one of them, unscathed thanks to the Baton he held.

This guard was the fuse that triggered the collapse of the moral bottom line among the various Property Owners in the community, a concept entirely different from Si Nan. Si Nan killed people who wanted to gang up and kill her; she never killed without reason.

It was clear that the guard was inherently twisted and a ruthless person with a hidden agenda. Before this, he had secretly notified Wang Meilan, the Gossiping Woman, and Sixth Uncle’s family to come and retrieve the bodies.

His motive was malicious and punishable: to make the three families join forces against Si Nan.

The bloody incident he spearheaded exploded in the Property Owner Group in the latter half of the night—this was the second event. The first major news, of course, was Si Nan, whose residual heat hadn’t faded yet.

At the time, a Property Owner living on a high floor uploaded a video to the Property Owner Group showing Si Nan hunting Zombies, demonstrating her skill by climbing over the community iron gate bare-handed, kicking the Community Guard, and directly killing Wang Meilan and the other two people.

It was quickly forwarded across various Property Owner Groups. The entire community was calling her a lunatic and a murderer, clamoring to report her to the police, yet simultaneously worshipping her immensely.

Furthermore, some young, single residents, seeing Si Nan’s nimble skills and her beautiful, pure, and refined face, instantly harbored wicked intentions:

”Why call the police? It would be a waste to send such a beautiful Young Lady in. Why don’t I date her first, and verify for all the Property Owners whether she is truly a lunatic?”

Unit D-403: ”Brilliant, upstairs! Don’t be shy, go for it, hero.”

Unit C-501: ”She’s really exciting, I like her. Damn, I didn’t know such a wonderful person lived in our community! Hey, you upstairs, let go with your filthy hands, let me have a turn.”

Unit B-Riding a Donkey and Eating Melons: ”Haha, are the two upstairs sure they can tame this Beauty? She’s not just spicy, she’s ruthless!”

Unit C-501: ”She’s just a little woman who knows a bit of superficial fighting. There’s no woman I can’t tame. I’ve met women tougher than her, and didn’t they still end up beneath me? I have plenty of money, and there’s no woman who doesn’t like money.

By the way, who is this? Which unit does she live in?”

Unit B-Free King: ”Holy crap, what did I just hear? After all that, Young Master Lü, you actually don’t know who she is? Scroll up; she’s the Property Owner of unit c-108, the family whose parents suddenly died in a car accident ten years ago.”

”So it’s her! That’s even better. I love orphans; I won’t have to deal with in-laws for the rest of my life, ahahaha~” Lü Tao was extremely interested in Si Nan. At that moment, he was lying in bed, cuddling with a Beauty.

This person belonged to the wealthiest family in the community. His father was a prominent Great Entrepreneur in the city who owned a listed company, but he was the illegitimate child born to a mistress.

Unfortunately, the legal wife had given birth to three daughters, so he naturally became the contradictory existence of the Lü Family—the most favored yet most scandalous Young Master.

He had been corrupted since the day he was brought into the Lü Family around age ten. He indulged in drinking, whoring, gambling, and everything else, changing girlfriends like changing clothes. He was a ruthless character who operated both legally and illegally.

Si Nan, who slept until noon the next day, knew none of this. When she woke up and opened her phone, she saw a frenzy of red. Every group showed 999+ red notifications; messages were going crazy, too many to read, and she couldn’t be bothered.

The Security Guard Sister and Xia Mi, among others, had also sent messages, and there was one from Luo Sen.

”Luo Sen?” Si Nan suddenly sat up and quickly opened Luo Sen’s messages, where a flurry of anxious inquiries greeted her.

”How are you? What you told me has come true.”

”No reply. Are you outside?”

”What exactly happened?”

”Are you okay?”

”Answer quickly!”

The last one read: ”I’ll figure out a way to get back and find you.”

Si Nan quickly took a bare-faced photo, including the messy bed and herself, and sent it directly to Luo Sen. ”I’m fine. I just went to bed early last night and silenced my phone. Are you and Auntie and Uncle doing well?”

”Beep beep~”

Luo Sen immediately replied: ”You scared me to death. We are all fine. Stay home and definitely don’t go out. Zombies and people can’t get into your house. Wait for me to come back.”

”Uh, wait for me to come back?” Si Nan looked at that last sentence, blinking, not understanding. They weren’t that close, were they? The way he spoke made them sound like an old married couple, hahaha~

She smiled and went back, only to see that Luo Sen had called her more than twenty times. ”Alright, that proves you care about your Childhood Friend.”

Opening Xia Mi’s message, it was much simpler and cruder: ”Si Nan, you wretched girl, did you know something like this was going to happen? We’ve been Best Friends for years, and I’ve been sincere toward you, so why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

”You have no right to bring that up with me. Think about it yourself.” Si Nan replied, considering their broken friendship.

On the other side, Xia Mi immediately started cursing: ”Si Nan, you ungrateful wretch! Gao Ming came to find me every time over the last half month, and I was foolish enough to hide your whereabouts and speak well of you.”

Si Nan instantly understood. ”Oh? He went to find you again? If I’m not mistaken, you two have been living together for the past half month, haven’t you?”

”You?” On this side, Xia Mi, lying in Gao Ming’s arms, was startled. She turned her head and asked Gao Ming, ”What should we do? Si Nan found out.”

Gao Ming gave her a smooch. ”It’s already come to this. If she found out, she found out. Since she discovered it, we might as well go all the way.”
