Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

28: Oh, you scumbag, you finally realized it.Gao Ming took Xia Mi’s phone, and in a moment of impulse, took a semi-nude intimate photo of the two of them, deliberately zooming in on the surrounding background before sending it to Si Nan.

When Si Nan opened it, she saw the two dogs lying and fooling around on the bed in her rented room. In the past, she might have been angry, but now she only felt disgusted and directly sent her blessings: ”Great, a bitch matches a dog, may you last forever!”

The next sentence was: I just wonder if you, Xia Mi, brought those snack betrothal gifts from your rented room when you offered yourself up?

”bitch!” After cursing Si Nan, Xia Mi threw her phone onto the bed, thus breaking off all ties with Si Nan.

”Sigh, people’s hearts are no longer what they used to be. Xia Mi calls herself a bitch, and she truly is one.” Si Nan sneered. She had wondered why the supervisor couldn’t get Xia Mi to unload the goods and why Gao Ming was so quiet. It turned out they had already been fooling around together.

Xia Mi was afraid of meeting her and being unable to hide it, fearing Si Nan would notice something, which is why she avoided unloading the goods. Normally, even if she was exhausted from working during the day, she wouldn’t give up any chance to unload goods.

”Well, that’s fine. With the timeline changed in this life, let you also experience the pain of being betrayed by a loved one and then killed. Xia Mi, don’t get too happy too soon. Do you really think Gao Ming genuinely likes you?

Have you never doubted Gao Ming’s purpose in getting close to you? Based on my understanding of him, you’re definitely the second version of me from the previous life!”

Of course, she wouldn’t remind Xia Mi of these things.

”Xiao Nan, are you okay? Are you hurt? I just saw the video in the group chat and found out the new security guard didn’t open the door for you. Are you home now?

Fortunately, Big Sister wasn’t working today, or she wouldn’t have been able to come back. Your reminder was so timely. Big Sister is very grateful to you. I’ve stockpiled a lot of things.”

Just as she was replying to Big Sister the Security Guard, Gao Ming used Xia Mi’s phone to send a curse: ”Si Nan, you vicious, lowly woman! You knew the terrible virus would happen long ago, so you bought so many things but didn’t tell me. You’ll die a terrible death!”

”Oh, scum, you finally figured it out. How I die is none of your concern. You’d better think about how you’ll die. If you’re not convinced, come over and try to kill me?”

At this point, Si Nan stopped pretending. She casually retorted, acting arrogantly just to infuriate the scum. In the Apocalypse, who’s afraid of whom?

If Gao Ming dared to come over, she’d shoot him dead with one bullet!

Even if he and Xia Mi were fooling around together, so what? Xia Mi went there early and definitely wouldn’t have brought the snacks from the rented room.

As for the rented room where Gao Ming lived, when she left, there wasn’t much food left. Gao Ming never cooked, and in the month after she left, he at most bought instant noodles to eat occasionally.

Because over the past three years, with her there, she cooked fresh meals for every meal, balancing meat and vegetables with nutrition, which had long spoiled Gao Ming’s taste. He despised eating instant noodles the most.

In other words, they didn’t have much food at all. Even the toilet paper was something she bought every time. Now, with Xia Mi added, they couldn’t last long.

”Ah, thinking about it feels great. The more desperate the scumbag and bitch are, the happier I am. Time to get up and exercise~”

Sprawled on the bed, she stretched out with a big yawn, then put on her fluffy slippers and went to the bathroom. While brushing her teeth, she glanced out the window and immediately widened her big eyes. ”How could it be this fast? Last night, there were only scattered zombies, weren’t there?”

Even though she had died once and lived through over a month of the Apocalypse, Si Nan was still frightened by the scene outside the window.

Outside the residential area and on the nearby roads, dense crowds of zombies were moving about. The ice pellets had long stopped, replaced by white snow falling. Those zombies wandered around like ghosts, searching for fresh, tasty prey.

Compared to yesterday, the number of zombies had increased by more than threefold. She marveled at how quickly and fiercely the Apocalypse had arrived.

She quickly opened the news app on her phone. The entire internet was exploding with complaints. Countless short videos of people biting others were being live-streamed and spreading wildly. Numerous families were wailing and howling, with many being wiped out entirely.

On one hand, The Authorities were cordoning off areas, establishing safe zones, and doing their utmost to save those who hadn’t been bitten. On the other hand, not understanding the strength of the zombie virus, they were still saying they were investigating the cause of the outbreak and would develop a cure as soon as possible.

”A cure? Hmph, that’s impossible in the short term. Even if one is developed, it won’t keep up with the speed of zombie mutations.” Si Nan shook her head while brushing her teeth.

In her previous life, by the time she died, only a little over a month had passed since the zombie period began. Those zombies went from being initially unconscious, stiff-bodied, inflexible, and having only basic instinctual reactions,

to quickly learning to climb high and step low, stacking on top of each other, forming human pyramids to climb walls and sneak into residential areas to eat people. They evolved rapidly. As for what they would evolve into later, she died too early to know.

For her now, everything was also unknown, which is why she had to stockpile as much as possible. She estimated that, given how quickly City A was falling on such a large scale, the situation was much more severe than in the previous life. Humanity was rapidly going extinct.

After leaving the bathroom, she turned on the TV. Currently, major TV stations were still operating normally, but some smaller stations were broadcasting one moment and wiped out the next, ”splat,” gone.

She watched for a while, left the TV playing, and went straight to the third floor to check the various surveillance screens. The first thing she saw was Cui Qingqing holding Wang Meilan’s corpse and crying, with an older and a younger man beside her, likely Cui Qingqing’s father and husband.

Cui Fu pointed at Wang Meilan’s corpse, gritting his teeth and swearing, ”Old woman, rest assured, we will definitely avenge you. We won’t stop until we kill Si Nan.”

However, the son-in-law Huang Jianli frowned upon hearing this and tried to persuade Cui Fu, ”Dad, let’s not talk about revenge yet. The most urgent matter now is how to handle Mom’s remains? It’s freezing outside with countless zombies surrounding the residential area. We can’t do anything.”

He meant they couldn’t keep a corpse in the house forever, right?

”What kind of nonsense are you saying? Your mother is gone, and you want to throw her out?” Cui Fu’s old face flushed with anger as he scolded his son-in-law.

Huang Jianli had always been looked down upon by this family. Even at a time like this, he didn’t expect his father-in-law to still not grasp the situation, scolding him as usual. He also grew anxious:

”Dad, what time is it now? Not to mention Mom being dead, even we don’t have food. We might not survive a week. The most urgent issue isn’t burying Mom, but how we can survive.”

”Shut up! If there’s not enough food, go steal it. That sinister little bitch Si Nan bought a lot of things, didn’t she? Find a chance to rob her.”

”Hmm, not a bad idea.” Si Nan raised her elegant eyebrows playfully.

Then she heard Cui Fu say, ”Don’t worry, even if I die, I’ll drag that ruthless, vicious dead girl Si Nan down to accompany your mother in death.”
