Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

35: Neighbors attacked in groupsGao Ming pointed at Xia Mi on the floor and said, ”This bitch is yours to play with as you please. Once you’re done, make her wash clothes and cook for us as a slave. Just give her half a pack of Instant noodles a day. Hide all the food; if she dares to steal any, beat her to death.”

”Ah, Gao Ming, you’re not human!” Xia Mi scrambled up to fight him with all her might. She was unwilling to leave this place because she knew that once she left, she truly wouldn’t survive.

Seeing that Xia Mi still hadn’t given up and even dared to pounce on him to fight, Gao Ming didn’t hold back at all. He raised his foot and kicked Xia Mi hard in the stomach. With a ”thud,” she crashed against the corner of the dining table. Her face turned pale from the pain, and she nearly lost her breath.

”Gao Ming, how exactly did she provoke you? Why are you suddenly being so ruthless to her?” Xu Songquan still hadn’t figured out what was going on between the two of them.

So, Gao Ming recounted everything regarding Si Nan. Fearing that Xu Songquan wouldn’t believe him, he opened his WeChat chat logs to show him. Turning around, Xu Songquan gave Xia Mi a sharp slap.

”Old Gao, I told you she was a bitch. She even stole her best friend’s Boyfriend. To keep you stable, she clearly knew Si Nan had a house, a car, and savings, yet she intentionally kept it from you. She caused us to get nothing from that satellite phone.”

”Since she’s so toxic and such a bitch, then I won’t be polite. These past few days, listening to the ecstatic noises from you two has been a struggle to endure. My Uncle and I have been having a hard time, too. I’ll take her now to release our primal instincts.”

”Ah, no, please let me go! Don’t do this to me! I’ll work like a horse for you, just don’t—*Slap*—Ah!”

Pleading was useless. Without a word, Xu Songquan stepped forward and gave Xia Mi a violent beating until she had no strength left to resist. Then, he dragged her by one leg into his room. The door shut with a ”bang,” followed by Xia Mi’s shrill screams.

But no matter how much she screamed her head off, no one would care.

Gao Ming was not only ruthless now but also perverted, his psyche becoming increasingly twisted. He had Xu Songquan film a video and then used Xia Mi’s phone to send it to Si Nan.

At this time, Si Nan was lying comfortably under her covers, eating fruit while watching a zombie movie. ”Whoa, such a strong mutation. I hope the zombies outside won’t mutate like this later, right? If they do, humans will really have no way out. This is practically invincible.”

Just as she was getting into it, Xia Mi’s WeChat popped up on the side of the screen. She didn’t open it, simply swiping away Xia Mi’s avatar to continue watching the movie.

Shortly after, Xia Mi sent several WeChat messages in a row.

She got angry, and when she opened them, she was so disgusted she almost dropped her phone. ”How you guys play is your business, don’t use it to disgust me.”

After sending that message, she immediately turned off her phone. She was truly repulsed.

”Wait, Xia Mi’s expression didn’t look like she was enjoying it. No matter how trashy she is, she wouldn’t like being tag-teamed by two men, would she?”

Si Nan reopened the messages and looked at the text below the video. It was full of pleas for help from Xia Mi: ”Xiao Nan, I was wrong. I’m a pig-brain, I’m a bitch, *sob sob sob*. Gao Ming and Xu Songquan aren’t human at all... They’re treating me like a cheap whore and an animal.”

”I—I have to work like a horse for them, washing clothes and cooking, and they only give me half a pack of dry Instant noodles a day. Xiao Nan, please save me. Gao Ming will definitely listen to you. They’re planning how to coax you back; they want your supplies and your Villa.”

Si Nan watched all this with indifference. ”You’ve finally tasted the bitter fruit; you’ve finally become me from my past life! But I can’t help you, and I won’t help you.”

”As for Gao Ming wanting my supplies and my house, let’s see him try to get to me first. The distance from Gao Ming’s rental to here spans two districts. There are so many zombies outside, and every street and alley is crawling with them. I’d like to see how he plans to come and snatch my supplies and house.”

Now she could be certain of one thing: that scum Gao Ming had completely exposed his true nature.

The fact that he treated Xia Mi this way on the second day of the Apocalypse meant he already knew about her money, house, and supplies. Moreover, he blamed everything on Xia Mi, believing she knew about these things but intentionally kept them from him.

His goal was nothing more than to use his old tricks—trying to gain her favor by abusing Xia Mi. He thought that by letting her vent her anger, she would accept him again like the Love Brain she used to be and successfully win her back.

”Sigh, even in the Apocalypse, that scum still hasn’t cleared his head. He’s just dreaming. Tsk tsk tsk~” Si Nan shook her head with a sigh and continued watching the movie in a good mood. Although the movie was fake and filmed in a peaceful world, the plot wasn’t entirely made up.

When the movie ended, she felt sleepy. She adjusted the temperature of the Central air conditioning and was just about to lie down and sleep when the surveillance system sent an alert.

She immediately perked up. ”Oh, approaching my yard in the middle of the night? They’re up to no good.”

She opened the surveillance footage to check. At first glance, she saw five or six Property Owners she didn’t recognize, carrying kitchen knives, Axes, and Clubs, loitering outside her courtyard gate.

Two of them were trying to pry open the sealed courtyard gate, while another was jumping up and down on the spot, trying to grab the top of the wall to climb over. However, after several attempts, he still couldn’t reach the top.

”It’s hard to imagine without seeing it with my own eyes. Si Nan really knew in advance that the zombie virus would break out, which is why she renovated the house. This damn courtyard wall is way too high. I’m 1.9 meters tall and I can’t even reach it when I jump.”

”She deserves to die. For not telling us, she deserves to die. Otherwise, we’d be like her right now, with a house full of food, lying in a warm bed, not having to work and living the good life happily.”

”Right, she deserves to die. She clearly could have saved us but didn’t say a word. Kill her, take this house, and all that food in there! Yah! *Bang!*”

”Crack!”

”Snap!”

The man raised his Kitchen knife, gathered all his strength, and hacked fiercely at Si Nan’s gate. However, the gate was unfazed, not even leaving a mark. Instead, the Kitchen knife in the man’s hand shattered into two pieces, and his hand was slashed by the broken sharp edge, deep enough to see the bone.

”Aaah!” he screamed in pain. ”What is this door made of? How can it not even be budged by a hack?”

The accomplice behind him, who was holding a Club but hadn’t swung it yet, said, ”I heard it’s Steel plates. I didn’t believe it at the time, though—who renovates a house with Steel plates for courtyard walls?”

”Why the hell didn’t you say so earlier?” The man grabbed his accomplice’s collar with his bloody hand, his face full of murderous intent.

”Both of you stop it. We should focus on how to take down this house,” the man with the Axe suddenly said.

”It’s you!” Si Nan, who had just run up to the third floor, suddenly recognized the voice of the man with the Axe. This was the man who had hacked at Cui Qingqing’s door and threatened Huang Jianli to get a box of Instant noodles and a bag of rice.
