Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

32: I’m waiting for you to come and kill me.Si Nan narrowed her eyes. The person was right inside the residential complex? Hmph. She let out a cold snort and directly @-mentioned the person with the black profile picture: ”I’m waiting for you to come and kill me.”

”Everyone, look! There’s a good show starting. Si Nan has shown up. She’s going head-to-head with them.”

”This little girl is really bold.”

”Of course she’s bold. Who could break through that courtyard wall of hers? Unless the person who took the job upstairs has SSS-grade professional tools.”

”Don’t say that; they might just have them.”

”Since when did murder become a topic of entertainment for everyone?”

”Yo, what do you mean by that, person upstairs?”

”---”

Si Nan didn’t have time to look through the Property Owners’ bickering in the group chat; she was drawn in by Huang Jianli’s slap.

On the screen, when Huang Jianli came out of the bathroom and heard that Cui Qingqing was offering so much food as a bounty for Si Nan’s head, he immediately gave Cui Qingqing a ”slap!” across the face.

Then, grabbing Cui Qingqing by the hair, he warned her with veins bulging on his forehead, ”You bitch, do you still not understand the situation? We’re all about to starve to death, and you’re actually using this much food as a bounty for Si Nan’s head? I think you’ve gone mad.”

He casually picked up a fruit knife from the coffee table and pressed it against Cui Qingqing’s neck. ”I’m telling you, nothing is to be taken out. If you dare to move even one pack of instant noodles, I’ll slaughter you right now and send you to reunite with your dead parents. Now get lost and go cook.”

With a surge of strength, Huang Jianli threw Cui Qingqing a good distance away.

”Ah~” Falling to the floor, Cui Qingqing’s knees throbbed with pain, but she didn’t dare throw a tantrum. This was the first time Huang Jianli had hit her, and the first time she had seen him with such a fierce and malevolent look. Terrified, she let out a scream and ran to the kitchen.

Huang Jianli immediately locked the front door, then dragged the corpses of Cui Fu and Wang Meilan into the room where the two elders had lived, dead-bolting the door as he left.

Once out, he immediately moved anything edible or drinkable in the house to his own room and hid it.

Cui Qingqing watched him do all this but didn’t dare say a word, obediently washing and chopping vegetables.

Afterward, Huang Jianli did nothing but sit on the sofa and wait for the meal.

Soon, the doorbell rang.

Huang Jianli shot a glare toward Cui Qingqing in the kitchen. ”Solve the trouble you caused yourself. If you can’t solve it, don’t bother coming back.”

”I’ll go, I’ll go.” How could Cui Qingqing dare to say ’no’? She obediently and quickly ran to the door to refuse. ”S-sorry, I don’t want Si Nan’s head anymore. Her courtyard wall can’t be breached.”

”Bang!” The response was a strike against the door.

”You dare toy with me?” The man outside the door flew into a rage and kicked the door hard. ”I’ll give you one chance to change your mind, otherwise, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”

Cui Qingqing looked back at her husband as if for help, but Huang Jianli ignored her completely. Cui Qingqing had no choice but to summon her courage and nervously reply to the man, ”I’m sorry, Big Brother, it’s all my fault for making you come all this way for nothing— Ah!”

An axe hacked into the door, nearly hitting Cui Qingqing’s head. Terrified, she ran back into the kitchen crying.

Huang Jianli was also startled and stood up from the sofa. He ran to the kitchen and grabbed a kitchen knife. ”Big Brother outside, listen to me. My wife’s mind is a mess because her parents both died, and she was talking nonsense. Please, show some mercy and let us go.”

He was clever; instead of confronting the man head-on, he chose to plead for mercy.

”Bang!” The man outside struck another blow with the axe. The door was nearly hacked through, and he was clearly furious. ”I don’t care about any of that; I just want the instant noodles and rice. If you don’t give them to me today, I’ll chop this door down, come in, kill you, and take the food.”

Hearing this, Huang Jianli glared fiercely at Cui Qingqing in the kitchen. After weighing his options, he had to agree. ”Fine, I can give you the instant noodles and rice. But you must also fulfill your promise to kill Si Nan. She’s the one who killed my parents-in-law.”

”You’re the ones who didn’t keep your word. The deal is off now. I’m chopping down this door right now,” the man outside shouted arrogantly.

Huang Jianli realized that this man never intended to kill Si Nan in the first place; he was just using this as an excuse to come and rob them. If the door were breached, he had no confidence he could beat the man, and he didn’t want to die.

Seeing the door about to break, Huang Jianli gritted his teeth and agreed, ”Fine, I’ll give you the stuff!”

Sure enough, the hacking stopped. Huang Jianli went into the room to move the supplies, opened the boxes of instant noodles, and threw them out the window.

”Hmph, at least you’re sensible.” The man left immediately after seeing the goods. However, Huang Jianli, who hadn’t opened the door, didn’t know that the man was actually shorter than him; he just happened to be carrying a terrifying axe.

Once there was no more noise outside, Huang Jianli used a tea tray to block the damaged door, wrapping it tightly with adhesive tape. He then moved the heaviest table in the house to block the door and piled various heavy objects on top of it. Only then did he feel relieved.

He turned around, grabbed Cui Qingqing—who was hiding in the kitchen and didn’t dare look at him—by the hair, dragged her over, pinned her to the floor, and gave her a brutal beating. ”You bitch! If it weren’t for you, how would that guy have come to rob us? Do you know how long a case of instant noodles and a bag of rice would have lasted us?”

”I don’t care what method you use, get into the group chat and scam some stuff for me. If you can’t, I’ll throw you out. I’ve had enough of your family’s faces for a long time now.”

”By what right? This is my house, not— Ahhh! Stop hitting me! I was wrong, I’ll go, I’ll go! Waaaah~” Cui Qingqing still tried to be stubborn, but every time she resisted, Huang Jianli beat her again until she no longer dared to fight back.

Only after he had fully vented his anger did Huang Jianli let go of Cui Qingqing, kicking her aside. ”Go cook for me.”

Looking at Cui Qingqing now, she was no longer the elegantly dressed, fashionable woman she had been. Her hair was disheveled, her face was bruised and swollen, and the corners of her mouth were bleeding. Even her padded coat couldn’t protect her from Huang Jianli’s punches and kicks.

”Waaaah~” Cui Qingqing cried miserably, no longer daring to talk back. After a while, she picked herself up and limped to the kitchen.

Si Nan stared at Cui Qingqing’s receding back. ”Wicked people will be tormented by those even more wicked. But in my memory, the pampered Cui Qingqing isn’t someone who would willingly submit.”

She was right. As Cui Qingqing walked toward the kitchen, a look of ruthlessness appeared on her face. She prepared one dish and one soup, but she didn’t dare eat without Huang Jianli’s permission, so she sat obediently across from him and waited.

She seemed submissive, but a sharp fruit knife was hidden in the sleeve of her down jacket.

Looking at the steaming hot food, Huang Jianli, who had been through a lot of exertion and a scare, let down his guard and leaned over to ladle some soup for himself.

At that very instant, Cui Qingqing whipped out the fruit knife and lunged for Huang Jianli’s neck. If she succeeded, Huang Jianli would undoubtedly die.

At the critical moment, Huang Jianli used a bowl to block the strike. The knife missed his vital organs and only cut his arm. He grabbed Cui Qingqing’s wrist with his other hand, snatched the fruit knife away, and with a ”shink,” cleanly plunged it into Cui Qingqing’s heart.
