Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

14: The small villa renovation is complete.”Alright,” Si Nan frowned and reluctantly agreed, directly helping the boss lift the crate onto her small van.

Then, when she went back to pay, she bought out all the new stock she had just tested. She bought ten top-tier compound bows in one go, along with quite a few crossbow bolts and arrows. As for the small bolts, she naturally took them all, taking as many as the shop had in stock.

After leaving the weapon shop, Si Nan drove away at full speed, fearing that the boss with the big head and big ears would regret the deal and chase after her.

Halfway there, she drove the car to a deserted place, got out, and smashed open the entire wooden crate. As it turned out, a layer of bullets was hidden beneath the three M-style weapons. She had sensed there was something else underneath earlier, and she was right.

”Oh my god, what a windfall! If that fat boss knew, he’d definitely shoot me and take it back immediately, hahaha~” Si Nan’s hands shook with excitement as she quickly stored everything into her space, swearing she wouldn’t go anywhere near that weapon shop while scavenging again.

She was incredibly glad she’d entered that shop on a whim. ”Even the heavens are helping me. With this, my sense of security is through the roof. I’ll see who dares to approach my house then.”

Si Nan was overjoyed, even more so than when she’d hoarded a satisfactory batch of supplies. Just then, a call from an unknown number came in. The smile on Si Nan’s face gradually froze; she guessed there was a fifty-percent chance it was Gao Ming calling.

But she couldn’t refuse all unknown calls just because of a piece of scum. Most of her calls now were from delivery couriers. She picked up, and it actually wasn’t him:

”Hello, Miss Si. The renovation of your small villa has been completed. Our staff is currently removing the perimeter fencing cloth. Do you have time to come back for the inspection in two hours?”

”Hahaha, as expected of the industry’s top home renovation experts, it’s finished so quickly—a day and a half ahead of schedule. Alright, see you in two hours.”

Si Nan gripped her phone, filled with immense anticipation.

What she didn’t know was that as the renovation perimeter cloth was removed, the entire villa community was in an uproar.

”Hey, have you seen unit c-108? That girl Si Nan actually turned her house into an iron tortoise. Oh my, what normal person would turn their house into an iron tortoise?

Isn’t she afraid of roasting herself to death? Once that poisonous summer sun hits it, I guarantee the people inside will be baked into human jerky within half a day. If they’re edible, they’d definitely be crunchy, hahaha~”

”How could I miss it? She hasn’t been back for ten years, and she returns as a mentally unstable psycho. I don’t know what kind of trauma she suffered over these ten years to be this stupid. Tsk tsk, what a pity, she’s a girl just in her early twenties.”

”Exactly. I heard she was back a few days ago and was thinking of getting to know her better so I could introduce her to my nephew back home. Who would want someone this crazy?”

Returning, Si Nan listened to the gossip behind her back along the way and didn’t give a damn: Hmph, all of you are fools. Mock all you want, curse all you want.

When the apocalypse arrives, when you witness your neighbors turning into zombies and breaking down your doors to bite you with your own eyes, you can come and mock me then.

For now, I hope you can wake up laughing in your sleep, because the happier and more crazily you laugh now, the more you will regret it then.

The manager in charge of the renovation was already waiting for her at the courtyard gate. ”Hello, Miss Si. I’m responsible for giving you the walkthrough.”

With just one look, Si Nan’s eyes lit up brightly, extremely satisfied.

The manager began to explain, ”The inner and outer walls of the courtyard have been reinforced and heightened with 20-centimeter top-tier aviation steel plates buried deep. A layer of camouflage reddish-brown has been applied to the outside, so it looks like an ordinary courtyard wall.

We’ve applied professional treatment so that no matter how hot the summer sun is, not only will it not get hot, but it will also dissipate heat rapidly, making the entire courtyard feel like a cool breeze is blowing through.

Furthermore, the ground beneath has been completely excavated to a depth of two meters and lined with steel plates before being covered with soil again. We’ve set up a small garden, a small vegetable patch, an outdoor fitness area, and a swing entertainment area, respectively.”

”A swing? I don’t think I requested that?” Si Nan’s eyes widened suddenly. Isn’t this a bit too thoughtful?

The manager gave a mysterious smile and then opened Pandora’s box, ”Hahaha, yes, this was specifically instructed by President Luo, and it’s just one of the items.”

”There’s more?” Si Nan was excited, her heart skipping a beat for Luo Sen. What did that guy mean? He couldn’t actually like her, could he?

”Yes, yes. Miss Si, please wait a moment, I will introduce them to you one by one.” The manager’s answer confirmed Si Nan’s suspicion; Luo Sen indeed had ’ulterior motives’ toward her.

But: Ulterior motives are great! She was too satisfied with this renovation; it was better than she could have perceived or imagined!

The manager continued the introduction, saying, ”Don’t be alarmed, Miss Si, this is just the courtyard wall. Your three-story small villa is the real highlight.

According to President Luo’s requirements, we used more environmentally friendly lightweight aviation materials for you. The interior has also been thickened and reinforced with 20 centimeters throughout the entire house, providing 360-degree protection without any blind spots.

In addition to what you requested, we’ve also added features like floor-to-ceiling bulletproof and radiation-proof glass for lighting, whole-house ventilation, toxic gas filtration, and heat preservation.”

”Miss Si, please follow me to the third floor.”

Upon reaching the third floor, Si Nan was so excited she was almost in tears. ”This place—”

”Yes, this place has been remodeled. President Luo said this floor wouldn’t be used for living, so it was converted into an observation deck and indoor fitness and entertainment area. Except for the main load-bearing walls, everything else has been opened up. Double-layered bulletproof glass and anti-theft, explosion-proof doors and windows have been installed all around.

We even gave the roof special treatment. Never mind bullets, even artillery shells won’t break through it. Unless professional-grade military heavy weapons are used, no one should think about targeting this house.”

”Good, a five-star review is a must.” Si Nan gave a thumbs up. She hadn’t expected Luo Sen to be so considerate of her, thinking of things she hadn’t even considered. He truly was a professional executive who had inherited his father’s business.

The manager added, ”For a security upgrade, we’ve installed nearly 400 surveillance cameras near and far around here, covering the entire villa community. They’ve already been connected to laptops.”

”Uh, where did the laptops and fitness equipment come from?” Si Nan looked at the many laptops lined up neatly and the beautiful fitness equipment behind them, which was similar to Luo Sen’s.

The manager smiled mysteriously, ”President Luo said these small items are all complimentary gifts.”

He wasn’t a fool; he could tell at a glance that this lady was President Luo’s sweetheart. As a small manager and subordinate, shouldn’t he provide the best service?

”Hahaha, good, your President Luo is quite a guy.” Si Nan chuckled.

”Then Miss Si, please give me your phone. I’ll help you connect it. This way, you can view all the footage you want without going upstairs, and if anyone approaches the courtyard, the phone will sound an alarm.

Miss Si can also watch how I connect it, so you can reconnect it promptly if you change phones—”

Only after seeing the manager off did Si Nan remember, ”Hey, why didn’t he ask me for the final payment?”
