Reborn As Super Heiress

The main roots of these old walnut trees have been severed, but you can’t tell from the outside, which shows that the person who did this is quite skilled.

If it weren’t for Huo Sining’s Heavenly Eye ability to spot the problem at a glance and her use of Spiritual Energy to repair these main roots, this would have been a really unlucky year for these farmers.

However, Huo Sining’s Spiritual Energy is no joke. After she used it to repair the main roots of these walnut trees, they became even healthier than before, nourished by the Spiritual Energy.

What’s more, a small portion of Spiritual Energy flowed from the main roots into the trunk, and soon it will spread to the branches and leaves where flowers dwell. Huo Sining is confident that the fruit set rate of these trees this year will be higher than last year.

Huo Sining didn’t want such a good thing to just be taken advantage of by unrelated people, so she promptly advised Liao Song to fully secure these few trees.

Since those farmer women were eager to sell these walnuts, Liao Song quickly acquired them at a reasonable price.

Of course, he didn’t take advantage of the situation by deliberately lowering the price. On one hand, he genuinely needed more goods to boost his competitiveness; on the other hand, he hoped this wouldn’t be a one-time deal. After this season passes, he still wishes to continue collaborating with these farmers next year. Being a little more generous might increase their goodwill and facilitate future cooperation.

Hence, Liao Song offered these farmers a slightly higher price than last year’s, which delighted the farmer women and made them much more enthusiastic towards Liao Song.

Huo Sining noticed Liao Song’s approach and naturally understood his reasons.

She couldn’t help but smile, telling those farmer women, ”Dear aunts, we’ve secured these trees. Later we’ll send over a batch of fertilizers, and let Brother Xiao Shan tell you how to use them.”

Aunt Liu and the others were stunned when they heard this: ”Fertilizers? What do we need them for?”

Huo Sining explained with a smile, ”Here’s the thing, we have two professors from S University who specialize in plant growth research. They’ve developed a fertilizer that improves the fruit set rate of ornamental walnuts. This fertilizer won’t affect the plant itself but will improve the quality of the walnut fruit. So, I’m planning to ask those professors for some, then send the fertilizer over. Brother Xiao Shan can help fertilize the trees, and you don’t need to worry about anything else.”

Aunt Liu, upon hearing Huo Sining’s words, became a bit suspicious and instinctively exchanged glances with the other village women, asking:

”Will it really not harm the trees themselves?”

Huo Sining nodded. ”It won’t. If you don’t believe it, when the fertilizer arrives, we can sign an agreement. If these fertilizers cause harm to the plants, we are willing to compensate at market price.”

With this guarantee from Huo Sining, the farm women finally relaxed and nodded in agreement with her proposal.

After dealing with these matters, Liao Song finally achieved some results and returned to the Imperial Capital with the valuable agreements.

On the way back, Huo Sining reminded Liao Song vaguely to be cautious of Ma Liwen and Wang Zhongwei.

Earlier, seeing the state of those walnut trees in the village, Huo Sining suspected Ma Liwen and Wang Zhongwei were determined to enter Fuzhou’s ornamental walnut market. These two have ill intentions and will likely resort to any means necessary to achieve their goals. It’s best to alert Liao Song and Zhong Zifan about possible threats.

As for the matter of the walnut tree’s main roots being severed, Huo Sining couldn’t reveal it. Even Xiao Shan didn’t notice it, and Huo Sining couldn’t explain how she knew. If she said too much, it might cause doubts, so she could only remind Liao Song in different ways.

Huo Sining also reminded Xiao Shan while leaving the village, asking him to pay extra attention during this period. With many people and eyes in the village, there might be informants bought by Wang Zhongwei and Ma Liwen. Knowing that Liao Song and Zhong Zifan secured those farmer women’s walnut trees, they might resort to underhanded tricks.

Upon hearing Huo Sining’s advice, Xiao Shan’s expression turned serious, and he solemnly assured her that he would be vigilant.

With Xiao Shan over there, Huo Sining wasn’t too worried.

Besides, Ma Liwen and Wang Zhongwei have already succeeded, and since they did it secretly, they might fear being discovered by others and may not try again.

Even though she thought this way, Huo Sining still reminded Xiao Shan about the details, exchanged contact information, indicating that if any walnut tree in the village showed signs of trouble, he should promptly notify her so she could intervene first and control the situation.

After returning to the Imperial Capital, due to the incident with Wang Zhongwei and Ma Liwen, Liao Song and Zhong Zifan became more vigilant. This trip was initially a spontaneous idea, and the store arrangement in Fuzhou was also not quite in order. Hence, Liao Song and Zhong Zifan did not dare to delay any further and, after bidding farewell to Huo Sining, hurriedly returned to Fuzhou.

The trip to Fangshan was just an interlude. Once back home, Huo Sining didn’t dwell on it much. She immediately bought some compound fertilizers the next day, infused them with a small amount of Spiritual Energy, compressed them into blocks, changed the packaging, and had Yingzi drive them to the village.

Xiao Shan had high expectations for Huo Sining’s fertilizers. Before Yingzi arrived, Huo Sining had already called Xiao Shan and explained how to use them.

Xiao Shan believed these fertilizers were genuinely developed by those professors from S University. Trusting Huo Sining’s words, he carefully and reverently buried these block substances underneath his walnut trees.

After taking care of his trees, Xiao Shan also went to the homes of the other farmers who sold their walnut trees to Liao Song this year, and likewise buried those block fertilizers under their walnut trees.

To dispel the doubts of these farmer women, Yingzi specially brought pre-printed contracts. These were the agreements promised earlier by Huo Sining—that the fertilizers wouldn’t harm the walnut trees and that any loss would be compensated at market price.

Upon seeing the contracts, the farmers cheerfully signed and sealed them with their fingerprints.

Later, while Xiao Shan was burying the fertilizers, although the farmers were curious about the block-shaped fertilizers he took out, they didn’t ask much and let him go about his work.
