Reborn As Super Heiress

When the last person thrown out of the captain’s cabin stumbled and fell right in front of Huo Sining, she couldn’t help but knit her brows.

This man she knew too—it was no one else but Gao Yuyuan, the one who’d been trapped in the Miao Village Underground Maze back then!

Huo Sining really hadn’t expected it. Fujiwara Seiho managing to crawl back from hell was already beyond what she’d imagined, but she hadn’t thought that even Gao Yuyuan was still alive!

Judging from this, something else must have happened in that underground maze back then, otherwise those two wouldn’t have been able to escape with their lives in such a dangerous situation.

Huo Sining couldn’t help thinking to herself that this Gao Yuyuan very likely wasn’t really named Gao Yuyuan; odds were that this name was just an alias he used when operating in Huaxia Country.

Moreover, Huo Sining faintly had a suspicion that this Gao Yuyuan was very likely an Iga-ryu Ninja, and was also the key figure who’d rescued Fujiwara Seiho out of Shuigong in that underground maze.

It was clear now that she had seriously underestimated this man back then. Back then under Fujiwara Seiho’s command he hadn’t shown any edge at all, just a completely unremarkable little nobody, yet at such a critical juncture he’d managed to save Fujiwara Seiho’s life.

Huo Sining even suspected that Fujiwara Seiho might have already known something about that underground maze in advance, maybe even anticipated such a dangerous situation would occur, which was why he’d brought Gao Yuyuan along—to pave himself a retreat.

All this was just speculation, but Huo Sining had a kind of enigmatic feeling about Fujiwara Seiho, always sensing that the man’s thinking was meticulous and unfathomable, someone who absolutely couldn’t be underestimated.

Still, since this Gao Yuyuan was that capable, he was definitely one of Fujiwara Seiho’s trusted henchmen. Now that he’d fallen into her hands, there was no way she was going to let him off easily!

Oil Rat knew Gao Yuyuan, and back then when he approached Zhong Fang and used Zhong Fang to swap the goods, it had been Gao Yuyuan stirring up trouble behind the scenes. So this time, it wasn’t hard to understand that this man had set Oil Rat up with a scheme and tricked him into biting.

Gao Yuyuan was this familiar with Oil Rat, so it was entirely possible that Oil Rat’s movements had been under Gao Yuyuan’s surveillance the whole time. Even some of Oil Rat’s contacts and channels might well have been originally strung together for him by Gao Yuyuan.

Last time, Oil Rat escaped by the skin of his teeth and thought he’d broken free of Fujiwara Seiho and Gao Yuyuan’s control, but it was highly likely that Fujiwara Seiho and Gao Yuyuan had done that on purpose.

Because the danger he’d encountered in the Miao Village Underground Maze had left Fujiwara Seiho with lingering fear. He didn’t dare take risks lightly anymore, so he wanted Oil Rat to go first as cannon fodder, to charge into Luofu Mountain as a suicide squad. After testing the authenticity and level of danger, they’d swoop in to pick the fruit.

Looked at this way, it’s highly likely that the moment Oil Rat started using underground channels to spread the news about the Medicine King Cauldron, he was already being locked onto by Gao Yuyuan.

Because of the Medicine King Cauldron, Fujiwara Seiho concluded that Oil Rat really had entered the Luofu Mountain Ancient Tomb and gotten out without a scratch, so he ordered Gao Yuyuan to lure Oil Rat out to sea and try to pry out of Oil Rat’s mouth where that entrance to Luofu Mountain was.

But what they hadn’t expected was that this guy Oil Rat, who usually treats money like his own father and regards the ancestral teachings and national honor of his forebears as dirt, would have such a hard mouth at the critical moment. Even under severe torture they couldn’t get anything useful out of him. And on top of that he was this cunning, actually managing to slip away under their heavy surveillance!

The more Huo Sining thought about it, the more she felt frustrated on Fujiwara Seiho’s behalf. He’d really played a rotten move this time. He wanted to pick up a bargain and didn’t want to spend too much money on Oil Rat, but it was precisely that stinginess that led to a total collapse—he got nothing at all. When he eventually got word of what happened, his mood would definitely be ”screwed to hell.”

When Oil Rat was on the yacht, he hadn’t mentioned Gao Yuyuan’s name to Huo Sining. When he talked about the guy who’d made contact with him and then double-crossed him, he used a stranger’s name. And he didn’t know that Fujiwara Seiho was still alive. From this it was clear that Gao Yuyuan had always been acting as the man behind the curtain on this fishing boat, simply directing his subordinates to do the job while never actually meeting Oil Rat face-to-face.

Otherwise, with Oil Rat’s level of cunning, if he’d discovered that Gao Yuyuan was still alive, he would definitely have been able to infer that Fujiwara Seiho was also alive, and he wouldn’t have kept his mouth completely shut about everything on the yacht with Huo Sining.

That said, Huo Sining felt a bit lucky too. Fortunately Gao Yuyuan hadn’t shown up. If he had, that old fox Oil Rat would’ve figured out Fujiwara Seiho and Gao Yuyuan’s intentions, and knowing that old bastard’s temperament, he might very well have broken his bottom line and started bargaining with Fujiwara Seiho in order to save his own life. In that case, there might not have been anything left for Huo Sining.

It was precisely because he had no idea what was really going on and wasn’t sure if these people wanted his life that Oil Rat clamped his jaws shut, refusing to talk, to prevent these Dongyang devils from killing him after getting what they wanted. He just hadn’t expected that, by accident, he’d run right into Huo Sining.

After tying this group of people up, the next step was Gu Xu’s job. After Huo Sining discussed it with Gu Xu for a while, they settled on a plan.

First she took out a high-definition digital DV camera and filmed and interviewed the fishermen down in the cabin, especially doing close-up shots of several fishermen who’d been subjected to private lynching. Even Oil Rat’s partner was brought into frame by Huo Sining.

During the interviews, Huo Sining used fierce language to get these fishermen to describe in detail how their boat was rammed and sunk and how they were captured after jumping into the sea. She also made a point of questioning the captain’s son, truthfully capturing on camera a child’s panic-stricken expression after being terrified.

Once they finished all this, dawn was about to break. They weren’t in any hurry to deal with those Dongyang people, and Gu Xu directly steered the boat towards the place where their yacht was moored.

Over there, Wu Jun & Su Qingqing were still fast asleep, completely unaware that in just these few hours they’d been sleeping, Huo Sining and the others had pulled off such a shocking feat.

Back on the yacht, Huo Sining and Gu Xu first woke Su Qingqing and the others up, told them what had happened, then moved the ten-plus fishermen from the Dongyang fishing boat over to the yacht for resettlement.

Su Qingqing was a hot-blooded youth who hated evil like a sworn enemy, Wu Jun was a straight-laced old soldier, and Bai Yishan and Su Jinyuan were also people with very upright views. When they heard that a Dongyang fishing boat had done something so vicious, they were all furious.

For the moment none of them even bothered to ask how Huo Sining and Gu Xu had learned about this, nor did anyone question how they’d managed to get onto that Dongyang fishing boat in the middle of the night and heroically subdue so many brutal Dongyang fishermen. Each one of them was burning with righteous anger, vowing to make these Dongyang bastards pay the price!
