Reborn As Super Heiress

Huo Sining was a bit curious: ”Why did you teach her a lesson, did she offend you?”

Su Qingqing got angry at the mention of this: ”That Wu Linger is already dumb enough, but she is also full of herself. Just thinking about it makes me angry. Two years ago, at a banquet, this woman once met my brother, and after that, she seemed possessed and shamelessly latched onto my brother!”

Huo Sining had heard of this, after all, when she first went to Su Group’s Donghua to find Su Jinyuan, she encountered Wu Linger downstairs pestering the receptionist, and she was mistaken as someone pursuing Su Jinyuan and almost got her face scratched by Wu Linger.

”This woman, in order to chase my brother, saw that my brother was ignoring her, so she tried to get close to me instead. But instead of using normal means, she actually thought of hiring some thugs to block me, and then she would appear as if she was saving me, scare away the thugs, and win my favor.”

”What she didn’t expect was that I actually knew some martial arts. As soon as those thugs showed up, I beat them up badly. After I called the police, the thugs were sent to the station and confessed that they were instigated by Wu Linger!”

Su Qingqing was furious when mentioning this, obviously considering Wu Linger’s actions disgraceful.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but twitch. Although others didn’t know, she had seen Su Qingqing’s skills firsthand, and this girl definitely didn’t hold back. Those thugs were really unlucky to run into Su Qingqing and must have been beaten terribly.

For Wu Linger to try that trick was like stroking a tiger’s head; she must have had a death wish!

”This counts as an attempted kidnapping, doesn’t it? Why didn’t you teach her a lesson after such a big issue?” Huo Sining asked curiously.

Su Qingqing grumbled, ”We wanted to, but Wu Linger’s grandfather had some connections with my grandfather, and my grandfather owed the Wu Family a favor. After this happened, her grandfather personally apologized to mine, making it difficult for my dad and brother to pursue the matter further, so it was dropped. But the relationship between the Su Family and Wu Family ended there!”

Huo Sining nodded: ”This definitely counts as a grudge now. If you didn’t know some martial arts, you might have thought Wu Linger was sincerely trying to save you. Back then, even Ye Zixin was able to become good friends with you, showing that you’re often blind when it comes to judging people. You might have even considered Wu Linger a good sister and tried to set her up with your brother!”

Huo Sining’s words were full of schadenfreude, making Su Qingqing feel both embarrassed and ashamed: ”My brother wouldn’t be interested in such a nutcase. He has high standards; only Sister Yishan could catch his eye. Why bring this up out of nowhere and bring up that woman?”

Mentioning Ye Zixin, Huo Sining recalled: ”Now that you mention it, I wanted to ask, Ye Zixin seemed to have a good relationship with Zhou Mei, they were always together, inseparable, but how come it’s changed this time? And it seemed Zhou Mei was quite accommodating to Wu Linger, not even daring to respond when provoked by her.”

Su Qingqing laughed upon hearing this: ”I have heard a little about this. The Zhou Family’s jewelry company is now on its last legs, barely held up by Zhou Zhen’s grandfather.”

”That old man from the Zhou Family is very opportunistic and controlling. But his grandson is defiant and hard to control. Bringing him back from abroad was simply inviting a wolf. On the surface, he listens obediently, but secretly he’s already taken away the Zhou Family’s products and business partners, leaving almost nothing behind.”

”Zhou Zhen and Zhou Mei must know the Zhou Family is now a hollow shell, and they’ve been looking for a way out for a long time.”

”Now that the walls are falling, everyone is pushing. Over the years, the Zhou Family has offended so many people, there are definitely plenty ready to kick them when they’re down. They’re trying to mingle with the Wu Family, hoping for a helping hand.”

Huo Sining immediately understood: ”In these times, it’s easy to add flowers to a brocade but hard to offer help in the snow. If the Zhou Family is going to collapse, it’s just a bottomless pit to keep filling. The Wu Clan isn’t stupid; why would they genuinely help the Zhou Family? Does Zhou Mei think by currying favor with Wu Linger, the Wu Family will sacrifice everything and help the Zhou Family rise again?”

Su Qingqing laughed: ”Apparently not, these two have been with the Zhou Family for so many years, yet they’re still brainless, thinking the Wu Family is so kind. You wouldn’t know; I heard Zhou Mei is cozying up to Wu Linger because she wants a marriage alliance with the Wu Family. Not only her, but Zhou Zhen also has the same idea. Their grand plan is to have Zhou Mei marry Wu Linger’s big brother Wu Hao and for Zhou Zhen to marry Wu Linger, so the Zhou Family and Wu Family would be completely bound together. Even out of obligation, the Wu Clan would have to help them.”

Huo Sining snorted with laughter: ”Are they really thinking like that? That’s too ridiculous. Although the Zhou Family might have other members, is there no one else who sees the situation clearly and persuades these siblings not to dive headfirst into this mess?”

Su Qingqing laughed again: ”Who would persuade them? I’m afraid everyone in the Zhou Family has the same thought. These people have always flattered the high and stepped on the low. They’ve been living luxuriously, blinded by wealth and splendor. Suddenly faced with bankruptcy, how could they calmly accept it? Of course they would cling to a glimmer of hope as if it were a lifeline, desperately hoping the Wu Family will lend a hand.”

Huo Sining thought about it and agreed deeply, but if the Zhou Family is really clinging to this plan, then they’re making a very foolish move. Business is cunning, the Wu Clan isn’t stupid; why would they easily fall into the Zhou Family’s trap?

”For Zhou Mei to want to marry into the Wu Family is normal; as long as the Wu Family doesn’t insist on using marriage for commercial alliances, it’s fine. But for Zhou Zhen to want to marry Wu Linger is pure wishful thinking. The phrase goes ’marry high, marry low’; with the Zhou Family having nothing, Wu Linger would have to be insane to marry into the Zhou Family, unless she got her head stuck in a door!”

Huo Sining calmly analyzed.

Su Qingqing agreed: ”You really said it right. I heard Zhou Zhen dumped Ye Zixin to pursue Wu Linger, it cracked me up. He really thinks that by dumping Ye Zixin, he can win over Wu Linger, as if he’s RMB and everyone loves him.”

”Ye Zixin that woman also deserves it; this is what goes around comes around, what goes up must come down. She was so smug back then, now she’s just as miserable. She thought by latching onto Zhou Zhen, she could marry into a wealthy family, but it turned out to be a fool’s errand!”
