Reborn As Super Heiress

Huo Sining was certain that this string of Nianzhu was the one Xuan Xu Zi took out from the brocade box. However, since he recited the incantation to activate this magic artifact and reversed time to reconstruct its flow, the artifact had already fulfilled its mission. Now, only a hint of immortal aura remained, so it could only serve as an amulet, no longer as a magic artifact.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but sigh. She also recalled at this time that she had indeed met that Monk Miaoshan in that strange temple in S City.

Back then, she tracked Manager Lu, Lu Huairu, with Qibao, and after many twists and turns, she arrived at an ancient temple. Coincidentally, she encountered that Monk Miaoshan who was wandering there. It was in that temple she saw the colorfully painted Flying Apsaras Mural, which stimulated the Jiaoren blood in her body, causing the memories of Wei Yang sealed within her to revive, and she grew a human body with a fish tail.

Huo Sining still had a bit of memory of that temple, and indeed she had met an old monk who claimed to be Master Miaoshan, a man with an immortal demeanor and bone structure. That old monk spoke a lot of Buddhist words to her, making her understand somewhat.

At that time, Huo Sining was shocked by her Jiaoren identity, and was entirely immersed in astonishment, without the mind to ponder the meaning of the old monk’s words. Thinking carefully now, that Miaoshan might very well have known about her entanglement with Gu Xu, which is why he tried to enlighten her.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but laugh silently. The monk, with his kind intentions, didn’t believe that any good could come from being with a Jiaoren, which is why he told her, ”All is illusion; since it’s an illusion, why be attached? Coming is accidental, leaving is inevitable.”

Wei Yang must have also recognized the connection between that monk and Yun Xu Zi’s master, harboring both new and old grudges, which is why she tried to control Huo Sining’s body to attack the monk upon seeing him.

But unfortunately, that monk’s cultivation was too profound, and the wisp of ghostly soul of Wei Yang in her body was no match for him at all.

Fortunately, although the monk didn’t approve of human-Jiaoren unions, he didn’t act blindly to stop her. He even helped her, intentionally or unintentionally, allowing her soul to completely merge with Wei Yang’s. He also reminded her, ”Before achieving Buddhahood, first form benevolent connections.”

Huo Sining developed a bit of a good impression of that Monk Miaoshan, but she still didn’t know what kind of divine being this mysterious monk was, or whether she could see him again if she returned to that temple.

Huo Sining recounted her meeting with Monk Miaoshan to Gu Xu. As expected, Gu Xu was also curious about this individual. They both decided to find a time to visit that temple again, hoping to have some luck and gain something.

Of course, Huo Sining returned the string of Nianzhu to Gu Xu, and instructed Gu Xu to keep it safe. Although this item was no longer the formidable magic artifact it once was, Huo Sining had a feeling that it might play a significant role in the future. Perhaps this item was the key to finding Buzhou Mountain.

Though Huo Sining didn’t know why she was so adamant about finding Buzhou Mountain.

Without further conversation, early the next morning, Huo Sining reported to the school. After spending some time at Qin Shaoyou’s place, she visited a few professors to earn some favor points before finally seeking out Gan Lijun.

Gan Lijun already knew about Huo Sining’s intentions from Xie Daoyuan. She knew this girl wanted to graduate early, and Gan Lijun was quite supportive.

Over the years, she had watched Huo Sining grow bit by bit and understood that this girl was no ordinary person. In her life plan, an academic certificate was no more than an added decoration. She was a person with greater fortune and shouldered more missions, all of which required time.

”I’ve considered your situation. I support your choice, and I’ve already communicated with the school. Fill out this application first, and then come with me to the Chancellor’s office. The deans of several colleges will be there, and we need to see what they say.”

Wanting to skip grades and graduate early was not just up to Gan Lijun; the heads of other colleges also needed to agree. Huo Sining understood this process, so she had no objections and filled out the application obediently.

Huo Sining wasn’t worried that those deans would disagree. Besides having Gan Lijun to pave the way, she also enlisted Yan Xuesong and Chen Qiankun as spokespersons.

Furthermore, she had planned that if the school had any objections, she could always use financial incentives, like donating a laboratory to the college. She believed the school would not refuse a large funding offer.

After all, she wasn’t looking to skip exams or avoid papers; she only wanted to graduate early.

Huo Sining’s prediction was correct. When she entered the Chancellor’s office, all the deans were already there waiting, and Yan Xuesong and Chen Qiankun had apparently communicated with them.

Those deans had never encountered a student like Huo Sining wanting to skip grades before. Most students they dealt with were those suspending studies or changing majors. Huo Sining wanting to graduate early was a first.

However, over the years, Huo Sining had become quite the sensation at the university, bringing fame to S University. Many students applied to S University just for her reputation, so the school had a positive impression of its star student, Huo Sining.

Establishing a star student example was no easy feat for a university. A reputable figure like Huo Sining was even more valuable, far surpassing any school beauty in classiness. Even outside campus, mentioning this student made the deans feel proud and confident.

Therefore, the school’s administration was bound to find a way to meet Huo Sining’s request, not foolishly obstruct her.

Of course, there were stubborn deans too. A vice dean; although he admired Huo Sining, he didn’t want her to graduate so soon. He hoped she would stay a few more years to attract more students. Now that Huo Sining proposed to graduate early, he was suddenly anxious, offering her various incentives in return for her staying another year, even if she didn’t have to take exams or appear for events.

Huo Sining understood this vice dean’s intentions, but she also had her own plans. Graduating early meant she could complete her college mission sooner and not have to worry about her degree anymore, so no matter how enticing his offers, she wouldn’t relent.
