Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 849: Chapter 845: A Completely Different Attitude

Although such a task has been issued, Wittmore knew very well that this bounty task would hardly have much effect.

The fire has burned down so many raw materials in Jinshan, and the Philippines are sure to strictly control the export of balsam. This time, many spice and perfume companies in France will likely face bankruptcy or be forced by reality to transform.

As for those small companies, they might collapse, but it doesn’t matter. Every year, many companies go bankrupt domestically, and countless new companies emerge. This is not surprising.

But Xiagnai is different. Xiagnai is a big brand with hundreds of years of cultural heritage and reputation. It has influenced countless generations, and many people depend on their jobs at the company for living.

If Xiagnai collapses, many people will lose their jobs, and many will be disappointed in Xiagnai. Wittmore does not wish to see such a scenario, nor does he want this century-old brand to fail under his watch.

So even if he knows the hope is slim, he has to issue the bounty task, holding onto a sliver of hope for a miracle.

As a result, what Wittmore did not expect was that his prayer came true. God heard his request and sent him the news he wanted. Upon seeing Huo Sining’s email, Wittmore felt that there was a turning point in the raw material issue!

”Book me a flight to Huaxia Country, the earliest possible. We will depart whenever the earliest flight is!”

Wittmore made a decisive decision and directly issued the order to his secretary.

Auvergne, the person responsible for purchasing balsam in the procurement department, was astonished and widened his eyes when he heard Wittmore’s words:

”Boss, are you personally going to Huaxia Country? Isn’t that too serious? Why don’t you stay here and let me meet Miss Huo alone?”

Wittmore shook his head firmly, his eyes fixed on Auvergne: ”No, Auvergne, you should be very clear that this matter is very important to our company. Since Miss Huo can deliver the message to us, she must have made several preparations. Perhaps Di’ao and other big companies have also received this news. I cannot ignore this. We absolutely cannot let other companies intercept this batch of goods before us!”

Seeing Wittmore’s nervous and careful attitude, Auvergne somewhat understood but couldn’t help feeling skeptical: ”Boss, I understand your concern, but Miss Huo is probably a Huaxia person. Do you really believe that a Huaxia person would have such a large batch of balsam? You know, the fire has already burned down most of the raw materials. Even if this Huaxia person has heaven-connecting abilities, it’s impossible for them to have such power...”

Balsam must be cut and sold immediately. It cannot be stored because it loses its medicinal qualities when exposed to air for more than eight hours, becoming a pile of useless waste oil. Hence, Auvergne is very skeptical about Huo Sining’s email.

But Auvergne’s caution was clearly not within Wittmore’s consideration. He smiled at Auvergne: ”Auvergne, to be a successful businessman, besides having a keen eye and calm judgment, you need a bit of a risk-taking spirit at critical moments.”

”I know you doubt the authenticity of this email, but given the state of the company now, is there anything worse than the perfume factory shutting down?”

”I have anticipated the worst situation. If we don’t act, we can only develop into the worst scenario. But if I choose to believe, there’s still a glimmer of hope.”

”Honestly, I share your doubts about this email, but I need to give myself hope now. If what Miss Huo says is true, if I can secure these ten tons of balsam, our company can turn things around and successfully resolve this crisis.”

”So I must handle this personally. Even if handed to my most capable assistant like you, I wouldn’t feel at ease.”

”Have Bruce Lee call Miss Huo, tell her that I already know about this matter, and set a meeting time as soon as possible. I will go to Huaxia Country to meet her personally. The sooner, the better!”

After hearing Wittmore’s words, Auvergne, who initially wanted to persuade him more, nodded: ”You’re right, regardless of the truth, we must seize every opportunity now.”

Seeing Auvergne quickly understand the issue, Wittmore was delighted and nodded appreciatively at Auvergne:

”Apart from seizing the opportunity, another important reason is that Miss Huo holds such a big bargaining chip and proactively approached us, she must have her requirements. Although I don’t know her specific plan, I can roughly guess her purpose, which is why I insist on personally going to Huaxia. This is not only to show my responsibility towards the matter but also a form of equal respect for Miss Huo.”

Making the other party feel valued and respected is the most comforting and effective way to achieve a deal. Wittmore evidently understood the businessman’s psychology well and looked forward to this transaction.

Meanwhile, Di’ao Company also received a fax email from the Di’ao Agency Area in Huaxia Country. The Di’ao representative Bonnet was just reporting the special circumstances encountered during the procurement trip to the Philippines to company CEO Daphne.

Just after finishing the report, Bonnet received an email from Huaxia Country. He opened the email instantly and was stunned, immediately informing Daphne of the email’s contents.

Contrary to Wittmore’s approach, Daphne snorted disdainfully upon hearing that the email mentioned more than ten tons of balsam:

”Huaxia Country? That country known for copying everything? Hmph, those Huaxia people are low quality and excel at deceit. This email is clearly a prank on us, no need to bother.”

Although Daphne has never directly interacted with Huaxia people, she has heard some bad things about them from other channels, giving her an extremely poor impression of Huaxia people. Hence, upon hearing Bonnet’s news, she didn’t believe the email content at all.

Currently, Daphne holds the highest authority within Di’ao. Major decisions within the company are almost always determined solely by her, and Daphne’s control is so strong that she never allows anyone to contradict her decisions.

Bonnet, knowing Daphne well, could only shake his head helplessly and delete the email upon seeing her dismissal of the information.
