Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 840: Chapter 836 I Am the Supplier

Huo Sining hadn’t even opened her mouth before she was berated, making her pause in astonishment: ”You’re over at Antique Street?”

Jin Rui wanted to keep scolding, but hearing a soft, cute woman’s voice from the other side of the line, he suddenly choked on his words: ”Are you the one who posted online?”

He had thought the other party was a man, but to his surprise, it was a woman. And from her voice, she couldn’t be over thirty.

”Yes, have you arrived at the entrance of Guan Yu Beauty Studio?”

Hearing Huo Sining’s question, Jin Rui felt something was off: ”Yes, I’m right here. The address you gave doesn’t match your company’s name at all. I think you just threw out a fake address. Miss, please stop fooling people. If I alone got deceived, fine, I won’t report you. Just take down the post...”

Huo Sining knew there must be a misunderstanding, and she quickly interrupted him: ”Wait there for a moment.”

Jin Rui didn’t understand what she meant, feeling puzzled. Was the scammer planning to come find him?

Jin Rui suspected that the scammer was still unconvinced and intended to trick him again.

Thinking of this, Jin Rui felt a bit disdainful. Initially, he wanted to leave but then thought this scammer might deceive others too. No, he couldn’t just walk away!

Without venturing into the tiger’s lair, how could one capture the tiger? Jin Rui thought he had to expose this scammer’s deeds. The best would be to capture her true face, so he’d have evidence to confront her.

The more Jin Rui thought about it, the more he liked the idea. He couldn’t help but mentally commend himself.

He certainly wouldn’t admit that after hearing the pleasant voice, he wanted to see what the scammer looked like.

If she was ugly, he would take a photo and leave immediately. If she was pretty, he’d persuade her to mend her ways.

Lost in his thoughts, Jin Rui was startled when a woman in her twenties strode out from Guan Yu Beauty Shop behind him, glanced around, and then fixed her gaze on him, asking suspiciously, ”Are you the one who wants to buy the balsam?”

Surprised, Jin Rui looked up, and under her sharp gaze, he suddenly felt flustered: ”Yes, that’s me.”

Afterward, he scolded himself internally: You’re not the scammer, why are you nervous?

Clearing his throat, Jin Rui looked up and with a self-righteous glare, said, ”You’re the one who posted online, right? Let me tell you, what you’re doing is wrong, you—”

Jin Rui was ready for a long speech, but the woman cut him off: ”The person you’re looking for isn’t me. She’s on her way. Come inside and wait.”

Jin Rui’s prepared speech got stuck in his throat, neither swallowable nor spit-outable.

Following her into the Guan Yu Beauty Shop, Jin Rui was amazed by the scale of the store and the jewelry in the glass cases.

The gold, silver, and jade jewelry in the display windows were all valuable, with the cheapest being in six figures.

Realizing something was off, Jin Rui couldn’t help asking the woman who led him in: ”Are you close with the person who posted online?”

Bai Yishan glanced at Jin Rui, while signaling the staff to bring water, she smiled and asked:

”You want to know our relationship, right? We are partners. This studio was opened by me and her together. So don’t worry about her being a scammer; we conduct legitimate business, absolutely honest.”

Jin Rui felt embarrassed as she saw through his thoughts, his face turned bright red.

Seeing the young student’s awkwardness, Bai Yishan found it amusing and puzzling.

Such a young face didn’t seem like a businessperson, more like a student fresh out of school. Why would Huo Sining arrange to meet someone like that?

Bai Yishan didn’t know what Huo Sining was up to and didn’t know what balsam was either, so she remained skeptical.

Seeing Jin Rui’s nervous expression, Bai Yishan quickly changed the subject to ease his nerves. After chatting a bit, Jin Rui gradually relaxed.

As they talked, a car pulled up in front of the store, and Bai Yishan smiled: ”She’s here.”

Jin Rui immediately looked outside to see a student-like girl with a backpack stepping out of the car. She pushed open the glass door, walked in, and smiled at Jin Rui:

”You must be the purchasing agent from the spice company. I’m Huo Sining, the one who posted online.”

Huo Sining looked Jin Rui up and down and then winked at Bai Yishan.

Jin Rui was shocked, staring wide-eyed at Huo Sining: ”You... you’re the one who posted?”

Huo Sining nodded: ”Why, is there a problem?”

Of course, there was a problem. Jin Rui didn’t know about Guan Yu Beauty Shop or jade betting circles, but he was familiar with Huo Sining’s name at S University.

Nervously swallowing, Jin Rui said: ”Hi, I’m Jin Rui, a senior in Finance at S University. I saw you perform magic at last year’s welcome party. It was amazing!”

Surprised, Huo Sining asked: ”You’re a student? Why are you here to purchase balsam?”

Jin Rui quickly explained: ”My sister owns a perfume company and there’s been some issues with the supply from Jinshan, so they’re having trouble with balsam. I saw your post by chance and came to check things out.”

Huo Sining nodded, and Jin Rui couldn’t help but ask directly: ”Huo Sining, I guess you posted on someone’s behalf. Can I meet the actual responsible person? The balsam supply is urgent for my sister’s company, so if convenient, please introduce me. I’d like to discuss and see the product in person.”

Huo Sining was taken aback, then laughed: ”Introduce you? You’ve already met her, I am the supplier.”
