Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 836: Chapter 832: Tricking for Posts

The massive fire at Jinshan in the Philippines caused panic among spice companies domestically and internationally. Many spice merchants traveled to the Philippines in the hope of purchasing raw materials at high prices.

However, what infuriated many merchants was that the suppliers of Olive Fragrance Resin in the Philippines took advantage of the fire to jack up the prices. Many spice companies, unable to bear the exorbitant prices, had no choice but to return empty-handed.

Olive Fragrance Resin is a crucial raw material for spice production. Although many chemical substitutes have been researched, most spice companies still use the original Olive Fragrance Resin because only pure, natural Olive Fragrance Resin can produce exquisite and fragrant essential oils. Chemical substitutes lack the authentic aroma and taste, and the difference becomes obvious after just one use.

For this reason, Olive Fragrance Resin has become almost indispensable for spice companies. But this time, the fire at Jinshan left many manufacturers unprepared. As the raw materials ran dry, many spice companies could only sit back and await closure and bankruptcy.

In the office of the general manager at Jinrui Company, three people were sitting on the sofa. The woman in charge was distractedly flipping through a stack of files, occasionally checking her watch, her frown growing deeper: ”Call Liu Hui and ask him how the situation is progressing!”

The secretary, Chen Jianlin, who was good at reading people’s expressions, immediately stood up to make the call, seeing the boss’s impatience.

At that moment, the office phone suddenly rang. As the secretary reached for it, the woman stopped him.

”It’s definitely Liu Hui’s call! I’ll take it!”

Without waiting for Chen Jianlin’s reaction, she had already picked up the receiver.

The person on the other end spoke urgently, but the woman interrupted after just a few sentences:

”So, our raw materials were intercepted? Why are you reporting this to me instead of finding a solution? If I could handle it from here, why would I have sent you there?”

”Liu Hui, listen to me. I don’t care what you have to do, but you must get the raw materials within three days. If you fail, don’t bother coming back. Just pack your things and leave!”

Hearing the woman’s cold voice, the two men in the room shrank back involuntarily. Jin Rui looked at Chen Jianlin with a helpless expression and began to sneak towards the door. However, after only a few steps, the woman’s sharp gaze froze him in place.

”Where do you think you’re going?”

Jin Kaili’s face was grim, her gaze piercing. Jin Rui knew he was in trouble and quickly put on a flattering smile:

”Sis, you’ve got things to handle here. I can’t offer much help, so I thought I’d take a stroll outside.”

Not waiting for her reaction, Jin Rui ran out of the office.

Jin Kaili wanted to scold her brother, but her mind was too occupied with the raw material procurement issues. She was genuinely panicked. This raw material crisis affected the entire spice market, not just Jinrui Company. Nearly ninety percent of domestic spice companies were also struggling.

Initially, before the Jinshan fire, the procurement department had negotiated a deal for Olive Fragrance Resin with a supplier in the Philippines, only awaiting the collection of goods.

But because of a one-day delay, a fire destroyed all the olive trees at Jinshan. The supplier, being exceptionally market-savvy, immediately canceled the deal with Jinrui Company upon hearing the news.

Due to the supply shortage, even though the supplier breached the contract, Jin Kaili didn’t dare to sour the relationship and had to endure a protracted negotiation.

Within just a week, the market price of Olive Fragrance Resin skyrocketed uncontrollably. The supplier, cunning as ever, refused to give Jin Kaili a definite answer, raising the price every day.

Taken advantage of, Jin Kaili had to swallow her pride. Eventually, she secured the deal at five times the original price and sent the company’s procurement manager, Liu Hui, to the Philippine customs to collect the goods.

What Jin Kaili didn’t expect was that, just when she thought the deal was secure, the goods were intercepted by another company.

At this thought, Jin Kaili felt a stifling frustration in her chest.

Jinrui and Fangluohua were the two largest perfume brands domestically and fierce competitors. Jinrui prided itself on the natural purity of its perfumes, consistently outperforming Fangluohua.

Consequently, Jin Kaili had never seen Fangluohua as a threat. However, this oversight plunged Jinrui into a crisis.

Liu Hui informed Jin Kaili over the phone that after she had finalized the deal with the Philippine supplier, Fangluohua swooped in and snatched the order with an offer six times the market price of Olive Fragrance Resin.

For the supplier, money talks. Fangluohua’s higher offer meant the supplier would sell to them regardless of the existing conflict between Jinrui and Fangluohua.

Without the goods, Jin Kaili was at a loss. However, she couldn’t bear to sit idly by.

While she was agonizing over the situation, Jin Rui, who had sneaked out, suddenly barged back in, waving his phone desperately: ”Sis, look at this post!”

——Jinshan Fire, Perfume Shortage? Don’t worry, the boss painstakingly obtained a batch of high-quality goods: 100% pure Olive Fragrance Resin, top-notch quality with photos as proof. Interested parties, please contact via private message.

As she read the post, Jin Kaili smirked:

”Obvious scam. The photos may show pure Olive Fragrance Resin, but after collection, it dries out and retains only some of its fragrance and medicinal properties. It couldn’t possibly be preserved that perfectly.”

”The photos may be tempting, but any knowledgeable person can see they are fake. It’s probably another scam trying to take advantage of the chaos.”

With that, Jin Kaili impatiently closed the page and returned to work.

Jin Rui, still a university student, didn’t understand the complexities and ruthlessness of the business world. He was eager to help Jin Kaili but was clueless about business, so he could only worry seeing her distress.
