Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 832: Chapter 828: Cooperation

One plan is for Huo Sining to directly buy fresh Olive Fragrance Resin from Yan En, purchasing it by the pound according to the market price.

According to this plan, Huo Sining would pay Yan En in cash directly. Whether the Pili Tree oil turns a profit or not in the end, it has nothing to do with Yan En. He just collects the Olive Fragrance Resin and isn’t responsible for anything else, including storage and transportation.

Another plan involves Yan En and Huo Sining collaborating. Huo Sining would pay a deposit in advance, and after she sells the Olive Fragrance Resin, the profit would be split between the two in a 70-30 ratio.

Of course, this plan carries certain risks because there’s no guarantee that the Olive Fragrance Resin will definitely make money after being sold.

Yan En has never done business before and doesn’t know that the market for Olive Fragrance Resin has changed drastically after the Jinshan fire. If he chooses the second method to collaborate with Huo Sining, the earnings would be considerably more than the first method.

Therefore, after careful consideration, Yan En chose the first plan.

Compared to the intangible profit-sharing, he values the immediate benefits more, so he chose the first plan.

Huo Sining preferred that he choose the first plan too because it would be easier for her to manage and she wouldn’t need to worry about follow-up coordination.

After the plan was selected, it was time to take over the goods. Huo Sining had already planned to find a motel in Daluo Town, book a room and stay there, informing Yan En that she would be there for a week. Yan En should deliver Olive Fragrance Resin to her twice a day, in the morning and afternoon, and she would arrange for a car to transport the goods away.

Since Olive Fragrance Resin has a freshness period of only eight hours, Huo Sining needed to manage the time to ensure its quality.

Yan En is a local and understands the situation of Pili Tree oil better than Huo Sining. Hearing her arrangement, he had no objections.

Although he was curious about the method Huo Sining used to preserve the Olive Fragrance Resin, he felt it was a business secret and did not ask too many questions.

Concerned that Yan En might find it difficult to operate without funds, Huo Sining paid him a deposit of half a million in advance to hire villagers to help collect Pili Tree oil.

Receiving such a large sum of money made Yan En feel his heart was about to jump out. He looked at Huo Sining and asked, ”Aren’t you afraid I’ll run away with the money?”

Huo Sining smiled and shook her head. ”I believe in using people without doubting them, and if you doubt them, don’t use them. Besides, this is just a small amount; compared to the upcoming business, this sum wouldn’t even be enough to fill the gap between teeth. I think you’re smart enough not to pick up sesame seeds and lose watermelons, right?”

Yan En understood Huo Sining’s point, but receiving a stranger’s trust so suddenly still made him feel comforted, increasing his commitment to the cooperation:

”Rest assured, I’ll discuss this with the Clan Leader as soon as I return and organize the entire village to collect Pili Tree oil tomorrow. We definitely won’t delay the delivery!”

Yan En hurried back to the village and went straight to the Clan Leader’s house. When his villagers heard he had brought a big business deal to the village, many came to watch the commotion.

In front of everyone, Yan En took out the agreement he signed with Huo Sining and read the key clauses to everyone.

Everyone was delighted upon hearing the news. The Xishuangbanna jungle might lack many things, but there were plenty of Pili Trees.

These trees grew abundantly, with some older trees being hundreds of years old.

It was midsummer, the prime season for collecting Pili Tree oil. The thick layer of oil on the Pili Trees sometimes caused trees with high oil content to burst open, letting the oil flow out along the tree bark.

Although the villagers knew Pili Tree oil had medicinal uses, the demand was low. Thus, despite the abundant resource, it seemed worthless to them.

Now, someone was willing to pay a high price for the Pili Tree oil, making the villagers overjoyed.

Having just finished the busy farming season, the villagers, from young adults to women and children, were free to go into the mountains to collect Pili Tree oil.

The news of buying Pili Tree oil quickly spread through the village, so everyone soon knew about it. Following the Clan Leader’s instructions, representatives from each household gathered at his home for a meeting where Yan En would announce the details and requirements for the collection.

Since Huo Sining trusted him, Yan En set strict requirements for collecting Pili Tree oil.

Apart from the collection time limit, the quality of Pili Tree oil had stringent requirements too. It should not contain too many impurities or lose its medicinal properties. After harvesting, each family must weigh their oil within the specified time. Any oil that lost its medicinal properties due to being late would not be accepted.

The villagers understood Pili Tree oil well, so they had no objections to Yan En’s requirements.

Early the next morning, every household had packed their gear, forming small groups to head into the mountains.

The Dai ethnic group had lived in the Xishuangbanna jungle for generations, so they were familiar with this primitive forest. Although it was dangerous, being cautious reduced the risk.

Given the large-scale collection required by Huo Sining, the Clan Leader arranged for those familiar with the jungle to guide them, ensuring the collection proceeded smoothly.

By around eleven in the morning, Yan En was already accompanied by several young villagers, driving several trucks to the town.

Seeing the trucks fully loaded with boxes of Pili Tree oil, Huo Sining was somewhat stunned, not expecting Yan En to be so efficient.

Fortunately, Huo Sining had thoroughly planned. To prevent her arrangements from being exposed, she had rented an external warehouse at a household in the town during the morning.

That household had a Granny living alone as her family worked elsewhere. The Granny gladly agreed when Huo Sining offered to rent the warehouse for a week.

Upon reaching the warehouse, the young villagers began unloading the goods while Yan En handed over the logbook to Huo Sining. It recorded the quantity of Pili Tree oil harvested by each household that morning, listing the total weight of the goods in each truck very clearly.

Huo Sining inspected the quality of the Pili oil and, satisfied with it, gave Yan En the payment immediately without weighing the goods.

After settling the payment, Yan En left with his team. Meanwhile, Huo Sining quietly stored all the Pili oil boxes in her storage ring when no one was watching.

By the time Yan En delivered more goods in the afternoon, the warehouse was already empty. He assumed Huo Sining had hired a professional transportation team to move the goods, so he didn’t dwell on it.

In just one day, Huo Sining had harvested several tons of balsam. Before departing, she had withdrawn two million in cash from the bank and stored it in her storage ring; within a single day, nearly fifty thousand had been spent. At this rate, it wouldn’t take more than five days for her to spend all the money.
