Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 838: Chapter 834: Controlling the Supply Source

Despite her thoughts, Huo Sining wasn’t in too much of a hurry.

Balsam in the storage ring wouldn’t lose its medicinal properties, so she wasn’t worried about this batch of goods wasting in her hands. The more chaotic those spice companies got, the more confidently she could name her price once they came asking.

After finishing her afternoon class, Huo Sining returned to the villa with Luo Jinzhi. Just as they entered, they heard Qin Shui excitedly calling out:

”Ningning, someone sent us a private message on the forum!”

Hearing this, Huo Sining quickly rushed to the study and dashed to Qin Shui’s computer.

Seeing the stranger’s message, Huo Sining was instantly alert, her spirits lifted.

”Hello, I am a buyer for a spice company. I saw your post on the forum and heard you have high-quality balsam for sale. Can you tell me more?”

The bait has been taken!

Huo Sining couldn’t help but grin widely, typing a string of numbers swiftly on the keyboard.

That night, Huo Sining called Su Jinyuan.

Su Jinyuan was busy preparing to attend a jade betting fair in Yangon, Myanmar in October. Company matters had him spinning like a top. Seeing the unexpected call from Huo Sining, he raised an eyebrow in surprise and couldn’t help but tease:

”What’s the big deal, big shot? Are you short of money and planning to sell that Pigeon Blood Red you cut to me?”

Pfft.

Huo Sining laughed out loud. Ever since that Pigeon Blood Red ruby was uncovered, Su Jinyuan had been eyeing it, but she refused to sell. His persistent inquiries about it every time they spoke left her both amused and exasperated.

”I’m not short on money; I’m short on connections. So, I need your help with something.”

Su Jinyuan couldn’t help but laugh and shake his head. This girl was Chief Lu’s god-granddaughter, and if she threw out his name, connections wouldn’t be a problem.

But Su Jinyuan knew Huo Sining well enough that she wasn’t someone who leeched off names. Though she acknowledged Chief Lu as her grandpa, she tried never to exploit the connection.

”Tell me, what do you need help with? If I can help, I certainly won’t refuse.”

Understanding her character, he knew she was reluctant to owe favors. So when she did seek help, it came with significant benefits. Not realizing this would be foolish, Jinyuan naturally didn’t reject her request.

Huo Sining laughed: ”It’s not a big deal. I just want to start a new company and hope to get the paperwork done within a day or two. You know the formalities are cumbersome, so I need your help to get someone to handle it.”

Su Jinyuan thought there was some tough issue at hand and burst into laughter. ”Is that all? Just go to my dad, and he’ll sort it out for you brilliantly!”

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Huo Sining said, ”I don’t want my uncle to know about this for now. The company’s business is quite special, more like making a fortune silently. Since my uncle is a government official, if he finds out, people will definitely come to him, making things awkward for both of us.”

Hearing this, Su Jinyuan became cautious and quickly asked, ”Special? Making a fortune silently? What is it you’re planning with this company? You’re not getting into anything illegal, are you?”

With black lines on her forehead, Huo Sining replied, ”Where did you get that idea? I’m just setting up a company to supply raw materials for aromatherapy, providing ingredients to perfume and spice factories.”

Su Jinyuan was slightly puzzled: ”A spice supply company? Can that make money? What are you planning to sell?”

Huo Sining smiled, ”Of course, I’ll be selling the most in-demand item: balsam. Do you know about it?”

Balsam?!

Although he wasn’t clear about other spices, Huo Sining mentioned balsam, which had been a hot topic lately. Naturally, Su Jinyuan had heard of it.

Not being in the spice business, Su Jinyuan didn’t know much. However, he had friends in the spice business who recently inquired if he had any leads on the raw material from the Philippines.

From his friends, Jinyuan learned about the state of the industry after the fire in Jinshan, and many companies were facing acute material shortages.

Though he considered entering the trade, he discovered how difficult it was to preserve the medicinal properties of balsam in transport, making it a risky venture. Hence, he gave up the idea shortly after.

Reflecting on Huo Sining’s inquiry and linking it to her proposed raw material supply company, a thought struck Jinyuan: Was this girl secretly handling balsam all along?!

The realization shocked him deeply.

”You have balsam supplies?” He asked, half-believing.

Supplies? Huo Sining’s eyes lit up at his question.

Indeed, balsam was in high demand, with the Philippines earning significantly from it. If she wasn’t aiming for a one-time trade, why not take this chance to control the raw material sources in Xishuangbanna?

With the storage ring and Spiritual Energy of Azure Pearl, Huo Sining was confident the quality of balsam from her company would surpass others by a wide margin!

Enlightened, she told Su Jinyuan, ”Correct, I have supplies, but I need to register a company first to sell them officially. I need your help, the sooner, the better.”

Understanding the urgency with balsam’s volatile market, Jinyuan’s demeanor turned serious: ”No problem. I’ll have Secretary Lin handle it. You’ll have your company ready by tomorrow.”

Occupied with securing her supplies, Huo Sining nodded, ”Alright, I’ll prepare the necessary documents. Have Secretary Lin come to collect them tomorrow.”

And with that, she hung up in a hurry.
