Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 847: Chapter 843: Taking Ownership

Actually, compared to the true value of those Pili Trees, a price of one hundred million is not considered high.

Take this batch of goods that Huo Sining brought back from Yan En, for example. She has now sold only one ton to Jin Kaili and already earned over five million, which means that this trip to Xishuangbanna will yield fifty million or even more returns for her.

Unlike jade, tree resin is a renewable resource. If the ownership of these Pili Trees is in her hands, the value they can create is absolutely beyond imagination.

Besides, it’s not that Huo Sining can’t afford the one hundred million. She has quite a bit of money on hand now, although she has other plans for this money, she can still come up with one hundred million.

However, this one hundred million is quite hefty for the Forestry Bureau. If Huo Sining didn’t propose the purchase, the Forestry Bureau wouldn’t be able to create greater value from those Pili Trees; they would just let those trees rot in the original jungle.

Therefore, setting a price of one hundred million seems a bit like taking Huo Sining for a sucker.

”A permanent purchase isn’t out of the question, but this price can still be negotiated. You go and talk to the Forestry Bureau again, see if you can get it down a bit. The best would be to bring it within eighty million, that’s my bottom line.”

After a moment of silence, Huo Sining gave Wu Jun her bottom line price.

Wu Jun acted swiftly. After hosting a meal for people from the Forestry Bureau, they began negotiating at the table, and ultimately, the Pili Trees were sold at a price of seventy-eight million.

Upon receiving this news, Huo Sining immediately transferred eighty million to Wu Jun. Since Huo Sining’s plan was quite urgent, and Wu Jun was also worried about any delays, he spent some money to smooth things over and signed the contract on the spot.

With the ownership of those Pili Trees now firmly in her hands, Huo Sining’s once anxious heart finally settled. She called Wu Jun and asked him to go to the Dai ethnic group village where Yan En is located and reach an agreement with the Clan Leader.

Huo Sining knew that although she had bought the Pili Trees, she was far from Xishuangbanna, and the original jungle wasn’t easily accessible to outsiders. The daily maintenance of these Pili Trees itself was a challenge.

So, Huo Sining hoped to get the help and support of the Clan Leader, with the tribe assigning dedicated personnel to manage these Pili Trees for her.

Of course, in return, these management personnel would receive compensation.

Additionally, since harvesting Pili oil is not easy, Huo Sining didn’t plan to spend additional manpower and resources every year for the harvest. When the harvest season comes, this Pili oil would still be handed over to the Dai ethnic group for harvesting.

Although the Pili Trees were now Huo Sining’s private property, she was still willing to purchase the harvested Pili oil at market price from the Dai villagers, with the condition that they could not sell the oil privately and must sell it all to her.

Huo Sining’s proposal was, of course, gladly accepted by the Clan Leader of the Dai ethnic group.

Located in a remote area, the tribe’s people depended on the mountains for their livelihood. Working outside didn’t yield much, and their lives had been financially constrained. However, a few days ago, Huo Sining’s arrival brought them enormous wealth.

In just five days, villagers of all ages went out to harvest Pili oil, and the final rewards exceeded what they earned in a year of hard work.

The villagers were all smiles, and the Clan Leader was also happy for them.

However, a few days later, Huo Sining quietly purchased those Pili Trees. The Pili Trees that originally grew in the jungle and were a shared asset had now become Huo Sining’s private property.

It would be a lie to say the Clan Leader wasn’t disappointed; he thought that after this, they wouldn’t be able to touch the Pili oil business. But now, not only did Huo Sining not revoke ownership of the trees, but she was also willing to continue doing business with them, allowing them to earn the same rewards during the Pili oil harvest season each year.

The Clan Leader wasn’t a fool. He knew the reason behind Huo Sining’s actions. The complex jungle of Xishuangbanna made it difficult for outsiders to manage those Pili Trees except for the villagers.

But Huo Sining’s approach indeed benefited the Dai ethnic group, and why would the Clan Leader refuse such a windfall?

Since the Pili oil business was something Yan En secured online, the Clan Leader did not take credit for Yan En’s efforts. As an up-and-coming talent in the tribe, the Clan Leader already appreciated Yan En, and after bringing such a significant business and profit to the tribe, he appreciated him even more.

Although the Clan Leader agreed to Huo Sining’s proposal, he was getting older and found it increasingly challenging to manage these affairs, so he simply became a hands-off manager and handed everything over to Yan En to handle.

Yan En, in his prime, was filled with ambitions and eager to prove himself. The Clan Leader entrusted him with this important task, and he was naturally overjoyed. He immediately assured the Clan Leader that he would handle everything properly and not let the Clan Leader worry.

Having dealt with Yan En before, Huo Sining knew he had a steady and honest character, making him an excellent cooperative partner. Hence, she had no objections to the Clan Leader’s arrangement.

With this, the arrangements for the Pili Trees were satisfactorily settled. True to his word, Wu Jun rushed back to S City after handling these matters.

On the other side, Su Jinyuan and Zhang Chao transported the second batch of goods. Upon seeing the quality and aroma of the balsam, Zhang Chao was immediately stunned. Even after the transaction was completed, he felt like he was dreaming and couldn’t snap out of it for a long time.

Unlike Jin Kaili, Zhang Chao was smarter and knew what he wanted. Upon discovering the distinctive nature of the balsam, he immediately expressed to Huo Sining that he hoped to maintain a long-term cooperation with her, as long as the quality of her balsam remained consistent, even if it was slightly more expensive.

Now that Huo Sining had a large number of Pili Trees, she was not worried about the balsam supply for the coming year. Initially, she planned to sell these raw materials quickly, but with Su Jinyuan’s guidance, the future development of her company might exceed her expectations. Therefore, she didn’t refuse Zhang Chao’s proposal, nor did she agree to it immediately.
