Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 830: Chapter 826: International Student Exchange Program

Reselling?!

An idea flashed through Huo Sining’s mind. Her storage ring wasn’t large, only about twenty to thirty square meters, but if she cleared out items like the raw materials that wouldn’t spoil, she could at least free up around ten square meters.

The most important thing was that time stood still inside her storage ring. If she stored the resin inside, it would remain fresh as long as it was placed in there, which was far superior to any kind of vacuum sealing.

Originally, the fire in Jinshan had nothing much to do with Huo Sining, but if there truly was a raw material crisis with Olive Fragrance Resin in the Philippines, it would possibly end the collaboration between Gu Xu and Samra.

Huo Sining didn’t have a great impression of Yao Xinzhu, but she wouldn’t sabotage Gu Xu’s company directly. However, upon seeing this comment, it was like a light bulb went off in her head. She suddenly had an idea, and her originally tired mind cleared up instantly.

If what the commenter said was true, this plan was absolutely feasible.

Excitedly, Huo Sining scrolled down the post. Sure enough, a bunch of people were cursing the commenter.

”The original poster is an idiot.”

”Greedy for money, huh? Olive Fragrance Resin is exclusive to the Philippines!”

”Where are you from, OP? Are you maybe working as a maid in Huaxia?”

The commenter didn’t expect such scorn and immediately became incensed:

”Do I need to lie to you? Let me spell it out for you – I’m a true Dai ethnic group member, living in the Dai Autonomous Prefecture in Xishuangbanna. This place is south of the Tropic of Cancer, bordering the MianDianMiZhiNa Mountain. Behind my home is a vast expanse of tropical monsoon forest. Sure, Olive Fragrance Resin comes from tropical forests, but who says it’s exclusive to the Philippines? We have plenty of it here, as long as you’re brave enough to venture into the primal forests!”

By this point, Huo Sining already believed eighty to ninety percent of what this stranger with the username ”Meng Balanaxi” was saying.

Huo Sining studied bioengineering and had read a lot about this field, so she had a good understanding of plant growth characteristics.

Although she didn’t know about Olive Fragrance Resin, she did know that the climate of the Philippines was similar to that of Xishuangbanna’s tropical climate, making it possible for Olive Fragrance Resin to grow there too.

After thinking this over, Huo Sining registered an account on the website and sent a private message to the commenter:

”Hello, I saw your reply in the news comments and I’m very interested in what you mentioned. I’m wondering if we could have an opportunity to collaborate?”

Huo Sining wasn’t short on money, but she was currently racking her brains over how to expand the Jade Beauty brand. Given such an opportunity, she wasn’t going to let it slip by.

She had sent the message with a ’why not give it a try’ mentality but was surprised to receive a quick reply: ”How do you want to collaborate? Do you believe what I said is true?”

”I originally believed about seventy percent, but with your username, I believe you one hundred percent!” Huo Sining replied.

While waiting for the response, Huo Sining tried to find information online about the Pili Tree in Xishuangbanna. She didn’t find the Pili Tree but stumbled upon the origins of the name ”Meng Balanaxi.”

Meng Balanaxi is the ancient Dai language pronunciation of ”Xishuangbanna,” meaning ”ideal and magical land.”

Though she didn’t find information about the Pili Tree, this fact made her trust ”Meng Balanaxi” even more. An outsider to Xishuangbanna wouldn’t likely choose such a username.

Upon hearing Huo Sining’s response, the commenter quickly replied:

”I’ve checked, and the Olive Fragrance Resin from the Philippines is the same as our Pili Oil. Because this oil has antiseptic and pain-relieving properties, we locals turn it into medicinal ointment, which works even better than Yunnan Baiyao. When I was young and mischievous, I’d often get cuts and scrapes. My mom would always apply Pili Oil to my wounds. It feels cool and has a sweet citrus fragrance, which is very pleasant.”

The commenter seemed happy to have gained Huo Sining’s trust and was quite excited about the potential collaboration, chatting with her energetically. However, he was a bit concerned about the storage of Olive Fragrance Resin:

”There’s just one problem – it’s very volatile. It has to be processed right after it’s scraped from the tree; otherwise, it turns into hard lumps and loses its medicinal properties, becoming worthless. If you don’t have a way to store it, it’s best not to take the risk. Transporting it back as hardened lumps would be a total loss.”

Hearing this, Huo Sining smiled with a hint of calculation:

”Don’t worry about storage and transportation. I have a solution. You just need to help me find the Olive Fragrance Resin, and I’ll handle the rest.”

Seeing her so confident, the commenter assumed she had a way to store it and was happy to exchange phone numbers with her.

Since she wasn’t entirely sure that the Pili Oil was indeed Olive Fragrance Resin, Huo Sining didn’t immediately inform others of her plans. Until she saw the product firsthand, her plans were just a pipe dream.

Early the next morning, on the first day of the new semester, Huo Sining went to the counselor’s office – to ask for leave.

Uh, seeing Qin Shaoyou’s twitching lip, Huo Sining also felt a bit embarrassed.

Qin Shaoyou had seen all kinds of students – those who skip classes, start dating secretly, or open businesses. But this was the first time he had encountered someone asking for leave on the first day.

However, since Huo Sining was one of his prized students and even Yan Xuesong was keeping an eye on her, Qin Shaoyou didn’t give her a hard time. He asked a few routine questions and granted her a week off.

Huo Sining was overjoyed but soon, Qin Shaoyou handed her a document.

”This is an international student exchange program application from Dongyang ZaoTian University. Their school hopes to conduct an international cultural exchange with our school through this application.”

Seeing her pick up the document, Qin Shaoyou continued.

Huo Sining was a bit perplexed, not understanding what this application had to do with her.

”To put it simply, it’s an exchange program between students from both universities. Since it’s the first time and it’s from ZaoTian University, our school places great importance on it. Each department only has one exchange student slot.”

Huo Sining understood but was puzzled about what it had to do with her.

”You might think this has nothing to do with you, Huo Sining, but surprisingly, ZaoTian University is very interested in you. After learning about your collaboration with the Huaxia Koi research project, their College of Biology dean personally called the president of S University, expressing hope that you would be one of our exchange students.”
