Urban Martial Saint

Stopped by Huang Yidao, Prince Wan Yan had no chance to pursue, which filled him with even more resentment.

”If I can’t kill Northern Martial Zen, then I’ll kill you!” Prince Wan Yan roared, and his aura suddenly soared as he charged at Huang Yidao with all his might.

”Bring it on!” Huang Yidao laughed instead of being alarmed, sweeping his Hundred-refined Sword horizontally, never leaving Prince Wan Yan’s vital spots.

”A mere broken sword, and you think it can hurt me!” Prince Wan Yan shouted loudly, his clothes billowing without wind. As his palms crossed, they emitted the clang of colliding steel, as he unexpectedly used his bare hands to forcibly grasp the Hundred Refined Long Sabre!

”Come here!” Prince Wan Yan forcefully pulled, intending to snatch the Hundred-refined Sword from Huang Yidao’s hand.

However, Huang Yidao seemed powerless, as Prince Wan Yan tugged, he simply let go, and the Hundred-refined Sword was directly snatched by Prince Wan Yan. Simultaneously, Huang Yidao leaped up and heavily kicked the handle of the Hundred-refined Sword.

”Ha!” Prince Wan Yan bellowed, clamping down tightly on the Hundred-refined Sword so that it wouldn’t be kicked away by Huang Yidao.

But the truth was not as he imagined. Although he clamped the Hundred-refined Sword and it was not kicked away by Huang Yidao, a bizarre thing happened when Huang Yidao’s foot struck the sword’s handle!

This famed instrument bent like a flexible Soft Sword, with the handle rushing towards Prince Wan Yan.

Prince Wan Yan never expected the Hundred-refined Sword to bend, and before he could react, the sword’s handle reached his chest. With a clang, a small dagger sprang from the handle, stabbing directly at his chest.

Prince Wan Yan was shocked, quickly pushing forward to send the Hundred-refined Sword away. However, he was a step too slow, and the short dagger still stabbed into his chest, leaving a wound!

By this time, Prince Wan Yan had already sent the Hundred-refined Sword flying far away. Huang Yidao was waiting, watching the sword’s handle bounce back, and he swiftly grabbed it, effortlessly retrieving the Hundred-refined Sword.

Prince Wan Yan staggered back two steps, clutching his wound, incredulous as he looked at the Hundred-refined Sword in Huang Yidao’s hand, and said in a deep voice, ”How is this possible? How can this sword bend?”

”What’s impossible about it?” Huang Yidao said smugly, ”As the saying goes, why can a hundred-folded steel be as flexible as a soft string? The Hundred-refined Sword’s material is inherently special, after countless hammerings, it’s both rigid and flexible, able to bend and straighten. Prince Wan Yan, as a member of the Imperial Family, is this the extent of your knowledge?”

Prince Wan Yan’s face was extremely grim. In the brief exchange just now, he had already realized that his strength was almost on par with Huang Yidao. However, Huang Yidao’s Hundred-refined Sword was very peculiar, catching him at a loss. If the fight continued, he would gain no advantage. Moreover, who knows if the Hundred-refined Sword had other uses, if he suffered another loss, he wouldn’t leave alive today.

After pondering for a moment, Prince Wan Yan gritted his teeth and said in a deep voice, ”Huang Yidao, I will remember today’s affair. When we meet again, I shall seek your guidance!”

Without waiting for Huang Yidao to respond, Prince Wan Yan turned and fled, not daring to linger for even a moment.

Huang Yidao had no intention of pursuing him. Seeing Prince Wan Yan escape, he turned and ran in another direction, which was the same way that the man had taken Northern Martial Zen to escape earlier.

Speaking of Northern Martial Zen, he was being carried away by that man, sprinting away from Stone Mountain, and finally breathed a sigh of relief. He knew that by escaping from Prince Wan Yan, his life was spared. But he was also aware that even though he escaped Prince Wan Yan, he was not out of danger. Huang Yidao was not a friend of his and certainly wouldn’t save him for no reason. Plus, Huang Yidao’s actions were strange and mysterious, possibly with some ulterior motive, making Northern Martial Zen anxious about him as well.

The timing of Huang Yidao’s appearance was too coincidental. Just as Prince Wan Yan was forcing Northern Martial Zen to reveal the Secret Technique, he intervened to stop Prince Wan Yan. Northern Martial Zen was an old hand in the Jianghu, realizing that Huang Yidao must have been hiding nearby and observing. Seeing Prince Wan Yan about to learn the Secret Technique, he intervened, likely fearing Prince Wan Yan would learn it too. It seemed Huang Yidao also coveted this Secret Technique!

The man carrying Northern Martial Zen was not slow, covering over ten miles in no time, arriving near a secluded small mountain group. The man carried Northern Martial Zen into the small mountain group, twisting and turning within, finally reaching a desolate cave and casually setting Northern Martial Zen down.

Northern Martial Zen looked around, the surrounding area was quiet, with the faint sound of insects chirping. The dark and quiet cave wasn’t very deep, but its darkness was eerie. He had no idea why the man brought him here, but Northern Martial Zen was exhausted and at the mercy of others.

At this moment, Northern Martial Zen was filled with regret. If he hadn’t gone after Ye Qing tonight, he wouldn’t have encountered those strange foreigners, nor would he have ended up in this situation. Using his life-preserving Unique Skill to exhaust all his Inner Strength, he was now completely helpless. He had no other thoughts but to stay alive, which would be a blessing.

The man set down Northern Martial Zen, walked to the side of the cave, and knocked on the stone wall repeatedly, three long knocks followed by two short ones. The sound traveled far, clearly signaling someone.

”Who... who are you?” Northern Martial Zen asked in a deep voice.

The man did not answer the words of Northern Martial Zen, he only turned his head to look at the entrance of the Cave. Northern Martial Zen followed his gaze, and before long, a figure unexpectedly descended from above, landing right at the entrance. It seemed that this man was signaling this person.

Seeing the newcomer, Northern Martial Zen’s face immediately changed, exclaiming: ”Nalan... Prince Nalan!?”

The newcomer was none other than Prince Nalan of the Capital. His face was calm, showing no regard for Northern Martial Zen’s astonishment, and he walked straight into the Cave.

”How are things going?” Prince Nalan asked the man beside him.

”Huang Yidao has already intercepted him. With his skills, he surely won’t catch up!” the man replied.

”Very good!” Prince Nalan nodded in satisfaction, then turned to look at Northern Martial Zen lying on the ground.

”Northern Martial Zen, long time no see!” Prince Nalan said with a faint smile.

Several thoughts flashed through Northern Martial Zen’s mind instantly. Encountering Prince Nalan here, he already understood that all of this was actually orchestrated by Prince Nalan. No wonder Huang Yidao and this man were so coordinated, it turned out they were working for Prince Nalan. But thinking about it, with Prince Nalan’s strength, recruiting people like Huang Yidao and this man was the most normal thing. After all, Prince Nalan is one of the Five Unmatches of the World!

Yet, why would Prince Nalan want to save him? With his strength as one of the Five Unmatches of the World, could it be that he also wants his Secret Technique?

”Prince Nalan, it turns out you saved me!” Northern Martial Zen endeavored to make his tone humble, slowly stood up, and said: ”Many thanks to the Prince for the life-saving grace!”

”No need to be polite!” Prince Nalan smiled faintly, saying: ”You and I share a common goal; we are on the same side. How could I let Prince Wan Yan kill you?”

”Oh?” Northern Martial Zen was slightly surprised, curiously asking: ”I wonder what the common goal the Prince speaks of is?”

”Hehe...” Prince Nalan smiled faintly, looking Northern Martial Zen up and down, and said: ”The Sun Shooting Bow is about to appear, Northern Martial Zen, do you think you have a chance to snatch the Sun Shooting Bow?”

”After seeing the Prince, I have already given up!” Northern Martial Zen said: ”The Prince possesses heavenly talents and is at the acme of strength. With the Prince overseeing here, the Sun Shooting Bow will surely be the Prince’s possession!”

Northern Martial Zen, lacking even a bit of Inner Strength at this moment, and facing a master like Prince Nalan, disregarded his status and flattered with several praises.

”Hahaha...” Prince Nalan laughed heartily, then shook his head and said: ”Hmph, even if I were here personally, so what? It’s impossible for me to snatch the Sun Shooting Bow!”

”Why does the Prince say such things?” Northern Martial Zen curiously asked: ”With the Prince’s strength, who in this world can stop you?”

”The Five Unmatches of the World, none of them are simple characters. Moreover, this time the appearance of the Sun Shooting Bow has drawn quite a few hidden masters, no one dares to claim they can surely acquire the Sun Shooting Bow!” Prince Nalan paused for a moment, then continued: ”Furthermore, the tomb sealed by the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance, we may not even enter. By then, those who truly hold the Sun Shooting Bow might still be those juniors!”

This made Northern Martial Zen’s heart rejoice, he had thought Prince Nalan was intending to snatch the Sun Shooting Bow. Hearing him say this, it seemed the Five Unmatches of the World would be counterbalancing each other this time. In this case, people of their level of strength would have even more hope, wouldn’t they?

”Why should the Prince speak in ways that boost others’ aspirations and diminish his own prowess?” Northern Martial Zen smiled and said: ”With the Prince’s strength, if you cannot obtain the Sun Shooting Bow, what can those juniors accomplish?”

”You will know when the time comes!” Prince Nalan said calmly: ”Northern Martial Zen, I saved you this time because I want you to do something for me.”

Northern Martial Zen’s heart skipped a beat, but his face remained unchanged, he softly said: ”The Prince only need command. If it can be done, I will do it even at the risk of my life!”

”There’s no need for you to risk your life, as long as you are willing to work for me, I can ensure your safety and wealth!” Prince Nalan smiled faintly, casually took out a medicine bottle from his body, took out a Pill, and handed it to Northern Martial Zen, saying: ”To show my sincerity, I’ll first give you a Ziyu Chenxiang Pill to help you recover before speaking further!”
