Urban Martial Saint

Zhou Tianming and a few others looked at each other in dismay. After a long while, one of them finally whispered, ”So what do we do now?”

”Nonsense, let’s chase after and see!” Zhou Tianming said angrily, ”Damn it, we must see Ye Qing die at the hands of Northern Martial Zen!”

The people of the Zhou Family were very resentful towards Ye Qing. Hearing these words from Zhou Tianming, none of them objected, immediately following him in a run back. However, they were all injured and couldn’t match the speed of Northern Martial Zen, so they could only run in that direction.

At this time, Ye Qing had already led Liu Mubai and the others to the highway, walking along the road in the direction of Humeng City. Judging by their current position, it was roughly about two kilometers until they would encounter the guard of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance outside Humeng City.

However, just at that moment, Northern Martial Zen happened to catch up to them. From a distance, seeing a group of people walking along the road, Northern Martial Zen quickly spotted Ye Qing among them.

Northern Martial Zen’s eyes gleamed. After the last incident, he always wanted to personally capture Ye Qing, not just for revenge, but also to force out the stepping technique of the Heavenly Gangs and Northern Dipper from Ye Qing, and then seize the strong Inner Strength from him. However, during that time, Ye Qing had always been in the Southern Six Provinces and was protected by experts, making it impossible for him to make a move. Plus, Prince Wan Yan had repeatedly sent people to attack his territory, forcing him to retreat and guard for a while. This time, he originally came to Humeng City for the matter of the Sun Shooting Bow. Unexpectedly, he encountered Ye Qing here, a truly unexpected gain.

Seeing Ye Qing from afar, Northern Martial Zen didn’t make a sound, immediately speeding up and dashing towards Ye Qing. He had been in Humeng City for two days already, so he was very familiar with the current situation there. The position where Ye Qing was heading was about two kilometers away from encountering the people of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance. Although Northern Martial Zen was strong, he didn’t want to have a direct confrontation with the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance. After all, the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance were currently under the personal command of Great General Helian Tiehua!

Norhtern Martial Zen was extremely powerful, and his speed was far beyond that of ordinary people. As he dashed all the way over, Ye Qing and the others didn’t detect a thing. It wasn’t until he was close to Ye Qing and the others that Ye Qing faintly felt something wrong, turned his head, and saw Northern Martial Zen less than ten meters away.

Ye Qing had heard from Liu Mubai earlier that Northern Martial Zen had also arrived in Humeng City, but he didn’t expect to meet him so unexpectedly here. Seeing Northern Martial Zen, Ye Qing was really taken aback. Although his strength had surpassed his previous level, compared to Northern Martial Zen, he was still far behind, completely no match for Northern Martial Zen.

Northern Martial Zen originally intended to sneak up and ambush Ye Qing, but unexpectedly, Ye Qing turned around suddenly, making it too late for him to dodge, so he simply didn’t bother to dodge. He smiled coldly and said through gritted teeth, ”Ye Qing, long time no see!”

Ye Qing frowned, and Liu Mubai beside him immediately turned around too, staring intently at Northern Martial Zen, and whispered, ”Ye Zi, you take them and go first, I’ll hold him off!”

Ye Qing glanced at Liu Mubai and suddenly reached out and tapped twice on the key acupoint on Liu Mubai’s back. Liu Mubai was already heavily injured, and although he took half a Ziyu Chenxiang Pill and could recover quickly, at this moment he still didn’t have much strength. Moreover, Ye Qing’s sudden attack left him unable to resist, and his entire strength was sealed by Ye Qing.

”What are you doing?” Liu Mubai said anxiously.

Ye Qing didn’t answer his question, just turned his head to the girls, and said in a low voice, ”Take him, follow the main road, and you will soon encounter the people of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance.”

”Ye, what about you?” a girl asked urgently.

”I’ll hold him here...” Ye Qing paused and smiled, ”Don’t worry, I may not be able to beat him, but I can outrun him. You guys go quickly, or else, if I have to protect you, none of us will be able to leave!”

”Ye Zi, you are not his match!” Liu Mubai said anxiously, ”How can you manage alone here? Quickly unblock my acupoints, I’ll stay with you, and we can hold out for a while.”

”Enough with the nonsense!” Ye Qing glanced at the girls and urged, ”If you don’t leave, are you planning to drag me down?”

The girls exchanged glances, and the leading girl nodded heavily, ”Ye, take care!”

The girls didn’t hesitate, quickly supporting Liu Mubai up and hurried off in the direction of Humeng City.

Meanwhile, Northern Martial Zen leisurely walked over. Watching Liu Mubai and the others leave, he just smiled coldly and said, ”You with the surname Ye, do you think you can stop me?”

”We can find out by trying!” Ye Qing replied coldly.

”What a big mouth!” Northern Martial Zen sneered suddenly and sprang up, striking out a palm towards Ye Qing.

”Good timing!” Ye Qing roared, both palms coming out to meet Northern Martial Zen’s attack.

”Reckless!” Northern Martial Zen sneered, thinking Ye Qing’s strength was insufficient to warrant concern. With just one hand, he could defeat several Ye Qings; this was pure folly.

Ye Qing seemed oblivious to these matters and greeted with both hands extended. Just as the three palms were about to meet, Ye Qing suddenly ducked and circumvented Northern Martial Zen’s side, dodging the strike.

Northern Martial Zen, seeing Ye Qing strike with full force, thought Ye Qing would take the hit head-on, so he hadn’t guarded against anything else. Ye Qing’s swift sidestep used techniques learned from Ancestor Chen Tuan’s Carefree Movement from Beimang Mountain. Despite only being basic, Ye Qing’s speed doubled, evading Northern Martial Zen’s palm without giving him a chance to change his move.

”Eh?” Northern Martial Zen exclaimed lightly, surprised by Ye Qing’s speed.

”Ha!” Ye Qing charged past the back of Northern Martial Zen, aiming his shoulder to strike his back.

”Hmph!” Northern Martial Zen snorted coldly, swiftly turning and extending a hand to press onto Ye Qing’s shoulder. Ye Qing’s powerful shoulder strike, like a vehicle collision, was subdued under Northern Martial Zen’s hand, unable to advance further.

”Ye Qing, you’re lacking!” Northern Martial Zen sneered, extending his right hand to grab Ye Qing’s arm, pulling Ye Qing toward him.

Ye Qing gritted his teeth, saying nothing, and punched toward Northern Martial Zen’s chest.

Northern Martial Zen sneered, casually retaliating with a punch, completely dismissing Ye Qing. He’d already gauged Ye Qing’s strength from that blow earlier, so the counter punch was not powerful.

Yet, when their fists collided, Northern Martial Zen sensed something amiss. Ye Qing’s punch completely exceeded expectations. His casual punch couldn’t resist, forcing Northern Martial Zen backward, loosening his grip on Ye Qing.

”What... what’s going on here?” Northern Martial Zen’s eyes widened, shocked by Ye Qing’s punch strength. Ye Qing’s punch carried at least half his power—astonishing indeed. When did Ye Qing’s abilities grow so strong?

Unbeknownst to him, Ye Qing’s martial arts, learned from the monk, allowed full cultivation power to be gathered for use. Ye Qing had held back earlier, accumulating strength for this blow. Even Prince Wan Yan had experienced loss under this move, let alone him.

Seizing victory, Ye Qing dared not linger, immediately turning to run in the opposite direction of Humeng City.

Liu Mubai and others were over three hundred meters away. Northern Martial Zen, if pursuing them, risked alerting the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance nearby. After brief hesitation, he immediately abandoned pursuing Liu Mubai and others, hastily chasing after Ye Qing. Since Ye Qing wasn’t heading toward Humeng City, Northern Martial Zen had plenty of time to chase him.

Ye Qing was there to buy time for Liu Mubai and them, relieved as Northern Martial Zen indeed pursued him. Liu Mubai and others were finally safe. However, he now faced the challenge of escaping Northern Martial Zen, quite the troublesome ordeal.

”Ye, your skills have grown rapidly after a few days’ absence. It seems your Inner Strength is awakening!” Northern Martial Zen sneered while chasing Ye Qing. ”Luckily, I encountered you this time. In a few months without meeting, I might no longer be your match. However, your fate ends here. Today, I’ll show you what true power is!”

Northern Martial Zen laughed wildly, chasing after Ye Qing, faster than him, closing the distance with each leap.

Ye Qing saw Northern Martial Zen nearing, deeply concerned. If caught, he was doomed. Yet, in this vast grassland, nowhere to hide to escape Northern Martial Zen.

At this moment, a sudden thought came to Ye Qing’s mind, recalling the small mountain group he’d passed earlier. With many stone piles and mounds, it was a sprawling hill group, perfect for hiding. On the vast grassland, he surely couldn’t outrun Northern Martial Zen. In those hills, leveraging the terrain, perhaps there’s a chance to evade.
