Urban Martial Saint

Yelu Ying glanced at Old Wang Ba, nodded slowly, but didn’t walk back into the room.

Old Wang Ba said, ”Well, about the Yelu family’s inheritance, there’s no need for Ye Qing to take over immediately, right?”

”This...” Yelu Ying hesitated for a moment and whispered, ”The two Tomb Guarding Elders just asked me to come over and inquire.”

”Inquiring is one thing, but did they specify when Ye Qing must inherit the Yelu family’s legacy?” Old Wang Ba paused and said, ”Moreover, the ancestors of the Yelu family probably didn’t set this time either?”

Yelu Ying was immediately stumped by Old Wang Ba’s question, remained silent for a while, and said in a low voice, ”There shouldn’t… shouldn’t be a set time!”

”That’s right!” Old Wang Ba said, ”Since the ancestors of the Yelu family didn’t specify the exact time, why are these two old geezers in such a hurry? If the ancestors didn’t set a time, are they planning to set one themselves?”

”That’s true.” Yelu Ying nodded and said softly, ”But still, this matter must be resolved eventually.”

”I know this matter needs resolving, but it doesn’t have to be now.” Old Wang Ba said, ”Your Yelu family has suffered such a calamity, and the remaining people are still unsettled. Do you have time to deal with other matters? I think, since there’s no specified time for Ye Qing to take over the legacy, there’s no need to rush. The immediate priority is to find a place to settle the remaining members of the Yelu family so they can live peacefully, instead of being busy with the legacy before stability is achieved, right?”

Yelu Ying nodded and said, ”Eighth Master is right. Why don’t we first find a way to settle down?”

”Oh, why think of ways? Just ask Ye Qing!” Old Wang Ba glanced at Ye Qing beside him and said, ”Young Ye, can you find a place to settle these Yelu family members?”

Ye Qing was most worried about the Yelu people pushing him to handle the inheritance matter. With a delay possible, that would be the best. As for settling the Yelu family, that’s not a difficult task. Shenchuan City is Ye Qing’s base, and with the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance and Sha Men people stationed there, the Yelu family living there would be safe, at least Prince Wan Yan wouldn’t dare stir up trouble there.

”Miss Yelu, if you wish, you can first settle in Shenchuan City.” Ye Qing said, ”I have some property there, and you can surely live peacefully.”

”This...” Yelu Ying hesitated, looked at Old Wang Ba, then at Ye Qing, and suddenly smiled, ”Thanks, then, Brother Ye...”

Seeing Yelu Ying agree, Ye Qing also exhaled deeply and said, ”Miss Yelu, no need for thanks. It’s just a small effort. However, about the inheritance...”

”Don’t worry about that!” Old Wang Ba waved his hand and said, ”Young lady, go talk to those two old stubborn men, since the ancestors didn’t specify the time, why are they in such a rush? This matter should be delayed, finish the present issues first, then slowly resolve this matter!”

”Alright, I will go talk to them.” Yelu Ying glanced at Ye Qing, wanting to say something but ultimately kept quiet, turned around, and slowly left the room.

Watching Yelu Ying leave, Ye Qing breathed a sigh of relief, turned and looked at Old Wang Ba, and said, ”Eighth Master, your idea is really good. Why didn’t you suggest it earlier? I was so worried about this matter!”

”Come on, kid, stop wasting breath with me!” Old Wang Ba said, ”Let me tell you, the Xuanyuan Sword must be acquired. Therefore, you must visit the Yelu family’s Ancestral Tomb!”

Ye Qing couldn’t help but ask, ”Why must I acquire the Xuanyuan Sword?”

”Damn, making it seem like I’m harming you!” Old Wang Ba said, ”With the Xuanyuan Sword, you qualify to stand on the peak of this world; why else would I want you to get it?”

”I don’t plan to stand at the peak of this world!” Ye Qing said helplessly.

Old Wang Ba said, ”That’s your wish, but when the world truly becomes chaotic, it’s not a matter of whether you want it. If you don’t stand at the pinnacle, you will inevitably be trampled, and those around you will also be trampled. Do you want to see this happen?”

Ye Qing frowned, stared at Old Wang Ba for a while, and said, ”Eighth Master, you’re talking as if it’s the end of the world!”

”Hmph, even if it’s not the end of the world, it’s close enough!” Old Wang Ba frowned tightly and said solemnly, ”During this period, too many things that shouldn’t have emerged, have gradually appeared. The Era of the Turmoil of the Three Stars of Sirius is just the beginning; the real chaos is far beyond just these Three Stars!”

”What...what impossible thing are you talking about?” Ye Qing looked at Old Wang Ba in surprise and asked, ”Eighth Master, what exactly are you talking about?”

”Don’t worry about what I’m saying, just focus on enhancing your strength.” Old Wang Ba said, ”In chaotic times, strength is paramount. Only the strongest have the right to speak. If you’re not strong enough, you’ll inevitably be trampled underfoot, do you understand?”

Seeing the seriousness in Old Wang Ba’s expression, Ye Qing knew this old fellow wasn’t joking. Without saying much, he stood silently to the side. He was more in shock because he didn’t know what Old Wang Ba was actually talking about.

Soon after, Yelu Ying came over again. She had already told the two Tomb Guarding Elders about the matter, and Old Wang Ba’s plan was indeed effective. Those two stubborn old guards were sticklers for the rules. Since the ancestors hadn’t specified when Ye Qing would inherit the legacy, they couldn’t refute it, so the matter was temporarily shelved.

As for going to Shenchuan City, the Yelu family members were very supportive. After all, they had no home now, and finding a place to settle was a good thing. Moreover, this place was very safe, which was exactly what they wanted.

Having decided on going to Shenchuan City, Ye Qing didn’t plan to have them stay here longer and immediately went to find Hu Leng, asking him to help buy tickets to Shenchuan City. Of course, he also asked him to buy his ticket, planning to leave Meng District with the Yelu family and then return. He knew clearly that if he didn’t leave Meng District, Hu Leng would still be watching over him, and he wouldn’t be able to go to Humeng City. Only by shaking off Hu Leng could he enter Humeng City!

Hu Leng was also worried about Ye Qing going to Humeng City. Hearing that Ye Qing was preparing to return to Shenchuan City, he was overjoyed. He immediately contacted someone to buy the tickets, and in less than half an hour, all the tickets were delivered.

The flight was in the afternoon, and there were still seven to eight hours before takeoff. Most of the women from the Yelu family went to rest, and the old fellow Old Wang Ba had long gone to sleep, leaving only Ye Qing still awake.

Since achieving success in Inner Strength cultivation, Ye Qing had energy far beyond that of ordinary people and didn’t need much rest. So, with nothing to do, he simply walked out of the hotel and strolled around the city, taking a look at the appearance of Fangyuan City.

Compared to Shenchuan City, Fangyuan City was evidently less developed. However, this made it look much cleaner than Shenchuan City. The blue sky and white clouds gave a feeling of relaxation and joy.

Fangyuan City wasn’t large, and Ye Qing took a turn around the city in no time. When he returned to the hotel, it wasn’t time for lunch yet, and Hu Leng’s group of knife-bearing guests were standing in the courtyard.

Seeing Ye Qing come over, Hu Leng immediately greeted him and said, ”Ye, you’re back.”

Ye Qing had informed Hu Leng when he left, so Hu Leng knew he was out. Seeing Hu Leng’s group standing in the courtyard, Ye Qing was a bit surprised and curiously asked, ”Brother Hu, what are you all doing here?”

”I just received news from Du Jiang that Prince Wan Yan has already crossed the Beimeng River!” Hu Leng said in a deep voice, ”He may very well come here to pursue you, Ye. So for safety’s sake, I specially gathered the brothers to prevent a sudden attack from him!”

”Prince Wan Yan has entered Meng District?” Ye Qing frowned and asked, ”When did this happen?”

Hu Leng replied, ”He entered Meng District last night. Based on the timing, if he intends to come to Fangyuan City, he should be here by now!”

”He just entered Meng District last night?” Ye Qing pondered for a while and said, ”I think he probably isn’t coming to pursue us!”

”Why?” Hu Leng asked curiously.

Ye Qing replied, ”If he really was coming to pursue us, he would have entered Meng District long ago, rather than waiting until last night.”

”That makes sense.” Hu Leng frowned and said in a deep voice, ”Moreover, this time when Prince Wan Yan crossed the Beimeng River and entered Meng District, he even injured Gui Jian Chou Du Jiang. By doing this, he’s clearly provoking our Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. What exactly is he here to do?”

”Brother Du is injured?” Ye Qing was startled and asked urgently, ”How is his injury?”

”It’s not too bad.” Hu Leng said, ”Du Jiang was knocked into the Beimeng River by Prince Wan Yan and was swept away by the current. Prince Wan Yan didn’t pursue him. Later, downstream, he was rescued by his men and only sustained some superficial injuries, nothing serious!”

Ye Qing’s expression turned slightly cold, and he said in a deep voice, ”Despite being a senior master, Prince Wan Yan actually attacked a junior, which is really disgraceful!”

Hu Leng slowly nodded but didn’t answer Ye Qing’s statement. In fact, he was still pondering the main reason why Prince Wan Yan entered Meng District this time. What exactly was he here to do?
