Urban Martial Saint

As soon as Du Jiang arrived here, he went outside to arrange some other matters. Ye Qing didn’t linger in the room either and went directly to Li Changshan’s room.

Li Changshan wasn’t injured and was sitting in the room. When he saw Ye Qing coming, he immediately greeted him with a smile, ”Ye Qing, how are you?”

”Thank you for your concern, Uncle-Master. My injuries have almost fully recovered.” Ye Qing bowed slightly to Li Changshan and walked into the room with him to sit down.

”Uncle-Master, why are you here?” Ye Qing asked curiously. To be honest, meeting Li Changshan on this Meng District territory did feel a bit strange to him.

”Hehe...” Li Changshan smiled slightly, saying, ”Ye Qing, actually, since you entered Tianzhao City, I’ve been following behind you; you just didn’t know it.”

”Ah?” Ye Qing was taken aback, curiously asking, ”Uncle-Master, you... you came a long time ago?”

”Yes!” Li Changshan nodded and said, ”A few days ago, I first went to Shenchuan City intending to see you. However, you weren’t in Shenchuan City at that time. I heard you were doing something over at Beimang Mountain, so I went there, only to learn you had gone to find those sorcerers. I then ran to where those sorcerers live, but who knew you had returned by then. After all this running around, I didn’t manage to see you despite covering a lot of ground. I initially planned to go directly to Shenchuan City to find you, but then I got word that you had gone to Tianzhao City. Thinking you’d definitely go to the Wan Yan Manor if you were going to Tianzhao City, I decided to wait there, and who knew I’d actually catch you there!”

Ye Qing suddenly realized that Li Changshan had been following him all along, running all over the place.

”Uncle-Master, did you have an urgent matter to find me for?” Ye Qing asked.

”Nothing particular.” Li Changshan chuckled lightly and then sighed, ”After you repelled Northern Martial Zen’s disciple last time, Northern Martial Zen didn’t come to Liaoshen City to cause trouble anymore. But as you also saw last time, the family’s development had reached a point where it could be said to be merely in name. As the Family Head, even staying at home wouldn’t change anything. The current Li Family is the same with me as without me!”

Listening to this, Ye Qing couldn’t help but feel a sense of melancholy. The Northern Li Family, once on par with the Xihang Shen Family, used to be a Martial Holy Land in the northern provinces, highly revered by people. Who would have thought that today, the once-glorious Li Family would fall to such a state, truly making one sigh.

”Uncle-Master, the Li Family was founded single-handedly by Master. Even if Master is no longer here, the spirit of the Li Family remains; don’t be discouraged, the Li Family will eventually regain its past glory!” Ye Qing consoled.

”Ah, Ye Qing, you don’t have to comfort me. I know very well what the Li Family is like now. I’m also clear on whether it can regain its former glory.” Li Changshan sighed, ”Over the years, I’ve brought the Li Family to this state. I am the Li Family’s greatest sinner.”

Ye Qing hurriedly said, ”Uncle-Master, don’t say that. This wasn’t your intention either.”

Li Changshan’s expression was sorrowful, shaking his head with a bitter smile, ”Forget it, let’s talk about my business first. Ye Qing, I’ve received word that King Yan Ning Qianshu has already entered Huaxia, is it true?”

”Yes, I’ve seen him once.” Ye Qing replied.

”Good!” Li Changshan nodded slowly, clenching his fists, his eyes flickering with a cold gleam, ”He’s finally in, and it’s time for me to settle the score of my elder brother!”

Li Changshan had previously analyzed with Ye Qing that the only ones capable of poisoning Northern Fist King Li Changqing were poison experts like Sai Hua Tuo Baili Xi and King Yan Ning Qianshu. Sai Hua Tuo Baili Xi definitely wouldn’t do such a thing, so he determined that Ning Qianshu was responsible. His intention to seek revenge on Ning Qianshu was only natural.

”Uncle-Master, Ning Qianshu is extremely powerful. We are no match for him.” Ye Qing hesitated for a moment and said, ”If you rashly go to find him, it’ll only lead to disadvantage. This matter must be carefully planned.”

”Hmph, if I were afraid of death, I wouldn’t have left the North!” Li Changshan said sternly, ”I’m here to discuss with you how to kill Ning Qianshu and avenge my elder brother. Ye Qing, do you have any plans?”

”Well…” Ye Qing scratched his head, speaking softly, ”Uncle-Master, I think the key thing is to clarify what happened back then. If it was indeed Ning Qianshu who acted, I will definitely do my utmost to kill him to avenge Master. But before we figure things out, I think we should avoid taking impulsive actions!”

”What do you mean?” Li Changshan frowned slightly, looking at Ye Qing with a hint of displeasure, ”The facts are conclusive, what else need to be checked?”

”In matters like this, it’s safer to be cautious.” Seeing Li Changshan’s expression, Ye Qing quickly said, ”Moreover, even if we want to deal with him, we can’t just strike directly. Ning Qianshu is extremely strong and has ties with the Twelve Green Halls; his strength has surely increased over the years. If we strike, not only would we fail to kill him, but we’d also put our lives at risk. It’s simply not worth it. We must devise a foolproof plan to kill him in one go!”

These words calmed Li Changshan slightly. He nodded and said, ”You’re right, a better plan is indeed necessary to deal with him. Ye Qing, you usually have many ideas; what do you think we should do?”

”Well...” Ye Qing scratched his head, ”I can’t come up with any idea at the moment. I think we should plan long-term and strike when the opportunity presents itself; we shouldn’t act hastily. Uncle-Master, why don’t you return to the Northern Li Family and wait for my news. Once there’s an opportunity, I’ll contact you immediately, what do you think?”

”Back to the North?” Li Changshan frowned slightly, shook his head, and said, ”No way, I don’t want to go back to the North. I’ll never go back without killing Ning Qianshu!”

”But... but we can’t come up with a way to find an opportunity to kill him so quickly...” Ye Qing said helplessly.

”How about this...” Li Changshan looked at Ye Qing and said, ”I’ll go and stay at your place in Shenchuan City for now. This way, we’re together; first, we can look out for each other. Second, if you come up with any ideas, I don’t have to travel thousands of miles from the North; I can act with you directly. Isn’t that convenient?”

Ye Qing was most worried that Li Changshan would recklessly seek revenge on Ning Qianshu, as that would be a suicide mission. So when he heard that Li Changshan wanted to stay in Shenchuan City first, Ye Qing agreed without hesitation. No matter what, if Li Changshan could hold off on finding Ning Qianshu, Ye Qing would be much relieved; at least he wouldn’t have to worry about him.

”Alright, it’s settled then.” Ye Qing nodded and said, ”Master, once things here are finished, I’ll head back to Shenchuan City with you immediately. How does that sound?”

”Never mind.” Li Changshan waved his hand and said, ”I’ll go to Shenchuan City first. You just inform the people over there and let me stay there. I don’t want to enter the Meng District.”

Ye Qing glanced at Li Changshan. Although Li Changshan hadn’t said much, he could tell that there was some grudge between Li Changshan and the people in the Meng District, which was why he didn’t want to go deeper. Ye Qing didn’t push and quickly called Li Lianshan, asking them to arrange for someone to receive Li Changshan. In the afternoon, Li Changshan boarded a plane to Shenchuan City.

With the arrangements for Li Changshan settled, Ye Qing didn’t linger around and directly ran into Old Wang Ba’s room.

As soon as he entered, Ye Qing was shocked to find the room empty. This surprised Ye Qing; had that old man Old Wang Ba run off again? He had promised to answer Ye Qing’s few questions. If he just ran off like this, how could that be?

”Damn it, old man, if I catch you, I’ll break your damn legs first!” Ye Qing cursed angrily, just about to head out and chase Old Wang Ba when suddenly Old Wang Ba’s sleazy voice came from the bathroom: ”Wow, who the **** is cursing Eighth Master out there?”

Upon hearing this voice, all Ye Qing’s anger and rage disappeared instantly, like hearing celestial music. He joyously looked at the bathroom door and said, ”Old Wang Ba, you... you didn’t run away?”

”Where would I run to?” Old Wang Ba said nonchalantly, ”Ye Qing, you bastard, whose damn legs did you say you’d break? Can you just break Eighth Master’s legs?”

Knowing that Old Wang Ba hadn’t run, Ye Qing felt relieved and quickly smiled, ”No, of course not. You misunderstood; how could I break your damn legs?”

”Damn it, whose damn legs are you talking about?” Suddenly realizing, Old Wang Ba retorted angrily, ”Yours are the damn legs!”

Ye Qing replied helplessly, ”Well... that’s what you said earlier. I was just following along with your words.”

”Shut up!” Old Wang Ba replied discontentedly.

Ye Qing needed something from Old Wang Ba, so he dared not anger the old man. If he really got angry and refused to answer Ye Qing’s questions, Ye Qing would be really upset.

After a while, Old Wang Ba’s voice suddenly came from the bathroom: ”Hey, Young Ye.”

Ye Qing did not answer, only staring at the bathroom door.

”Young Ye, are you there?”

”Young Ye, say something.”

Old Wang Ba shouted several times without seeing any response, the sound of running water came from the bathroom. After a while, Old Wang Ba finally opened the bathroom door and came out.

”Damn it, you’re still at the door!” Seeing Ye Qing standing at the door, Old Wang Ba couldn’t help but feel furious and said, ”Eighth Master shouted to you just now; why didn’t you answer? You brat, Eighth Master wanted you to bring some paper, but you played deaf? Making Eighth Master use socks for wiping, did you do it on purpose?”

”Didn’t you tell me to shut up?” Ye Qing replied innocently while looking at Old Wang Ba’s feet. This old man really was missing his socks.

Old Wang Ba exclaimed in frustration, ”Stop talking nonsense, I asked if you want to ****, will you?”
