Urban Martial Saint

After defeating all the Zhou Family members, Ye Qing slowly walked to Zhou Tianming’s side, cast a cold glance at him, and said in a deep voice, ”Today, I’ll spare your lives. Go back and tell Northern Martial Zen, this is the interest for what he did to the Li Family earlier. The rest, I will reclaim one by one!”

Zhou Tianming still had blood at the corner of his mouth. He looked at Ye Qing with gritted teeth, saying in a low voice, ”Don’t worry, I will definitely... definitely convey your message!”

”Very good!” Ye Qing totally ignored Zhou Tianming’s icy tone, stood up, and returned to Liu Mubai’s side.

”How are you doing?” Ye Qing asked.

”Almost recovered!” Liu Mubai had already stood up, his spirits evidently much better than before.

Seeing that Liu Mubai was fine, Ye Qing felt a bit relieved. He nodded, and then asked, ”What exactly happened?”

”Ah, it’s just a family fight over property.” Liu Mubai sighed, slowly recounting his story.

It turned out, these girls and Zhou Tianming and company were originally family. Their father was one of the Zhou Family. However, due to family disputes, their father left the Zhou Family and lived in Meng District. Liu Mubai and his sister had lost their family early on, and it was these girls’ parents who took care of them as they grew up, so Liu Mubai was very grateful to this family.

Due to these girls’ parents obtaining some ancestral belongings, Zhou Tianming and his group coveted them. Previously, because this was the Meng District, they did not dare to venture in easily. However, recently, with most of the manpower from the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance being transferred to Humeng City, Zhou Tianming and his group boldly came to seize, murdering these girls’ parents and family, and even attempting to wipe them out.

Liu Mubai received the message and rushed over, managing to only respond and assist these girls. Yet, Zhou Tianming and his group pursued relentlessly, so Liu Mubai thought to first hide them in Humeng City. No matter how bold they were, Zhou Tianming and his men definitely wouldn’t dare to kill in Humeng City. However, before reaching Humeng City, they were caught by Zhou Tianming and company outside here. Being ambushed and injured at first, Liu Mubai nearly lost his life to their rotating attacks. Fortunately, Ye Qing arrived just in time to rescue them; otherwise, it would have been troublesome.

”By the way, Ye Zi, why are you here?” After recounting his matters, Liu Mubai immediately inquired, surprised to meet Ye Qing at this critical moment; it truly was not easy.

Ye Qing looked at the girls behind Liu Mubai. He was very clear that Zhou Tianming and company obviously took action due to the Sun Shooting Bow’s impending appearance, diverting all the Seven Steering Committees’ attention to Humeng City. He didn’t mention Huangfu Ziyu or the Sun Shooting Bow, instead casually made an excuse. After all, the matter concerning the Sun Shooting Bow was of great significance; it was better for these girls, who obviously weren’t in the martial arts world, not to know about it, as it would be beneficial for them.

”What are you going to do now?” Ye Qing asked softly.

”Ah!” Liu Mubai sighed, looking at the girls behind him, saying, ”The aunt was forced to death by those from the Zhou Family, and these Zhou people still want to wipe them out completely. In the North, I’m afraid they have no place to stand. I’m thinking about taking them to the South so they can live in peace.”

”Going to the South is good too.” Ye Qing nodded, saying, ”They can go to Shenchuan City, and Old Li can arrange for them to live there. The question is whether they’re willing to go or not.”

The girls were listening to Ye Qing and Liu Mubai’s conversation. Hearing what Ye Qing said, the eldest among them immediately stepped forward, bowed, and said, ”Brother Ye agreeing to take us in is our good fortune, so there is no question of willing or not. The life-saving grace you’ve given us will be remembered by us sisters with gratitude. Though we sisters aren’t capable, we understand repaying kindness. One day, if Brother Ye has need of us, we are willing to repay with all our might!”

Though this girl was the eldest among them, she seemed no more than seventeen or eighteen, still just a child. Hearing her say such words truly made one’s heart ache. At an age where they should be spoiled in their parents’ arms, they have to bear so much misfortune; it really is thought-provoking.

”There’s no need to say such things, as Liu is like family to me, you are as well!” Ye Qing nodded towards Liu Mubai, saying, ”Liu, I’ll first escort you to Humeng City. From there, you can take a plane directly to Shenchuan City. Once there, Old Li will welcome you.”

”Aren’t you going back?” Liu Mubai asked, puzzled.

”I can’t go back; I still have some things to do.” Ye Qing replied.

Liu Mubai was silently for a moment, then whispered, ”Ye Zi, Humeng City hasn’t been safe recently. I received news that Northern Martial Zen has also arrived in Humeng City; it might be a bit dangerous for you here.”

”It’s fine!” Ye Qing smiled and said, ”If I can’t beat him, I can run faster than him, right? Don’t worry, I will be careful!”

Seeing Ye Qing say this, Liu Mubai didn’t try to persuade him any further because he knew Ye Qing’s character well; no one could change his mind.

Ye Qing led Liu Mubai and the others, walking straight towards the highway. Liu Mubai and his group needed to go to Humeng City, and the most convenient route was to follow the highway in the direction of Humeng City. That way, halfway through, they would encounter people from the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance.

Liu Mubai was neither a friend nor an enemy to the people of the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. Besides, Ye Qing could tell that Great General Helian Tiehua was not someone unreasonable. With him overseeing things, Liu Mubai and his group would not face difficulties entering the city from the Great General. Moreover, since Liu Mubai’s group was going to leave Humeng City directly by plane, the Great General was even less likely to hinder them. Therefore, entering the city was the safest plan.

Of course, Ye Qing only planned to escort Liu Mubai and his group near the guards outside Humeng City; he himself had no intention to enter the city. He had come to find Huangfu Ziyu, and once inside the city, or if the people of the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance knew he arrived, he would lose his freedom, making it impossible to find Huangfu Ziyu.

On this side, Ye Qing led Liu Mubai and his group in the direction of Humeng City. Meanwhile, Zhou Tianming and others, who had been injured by Ye Qing, were mutually supporting each other and walking back. Upon exiting the small forest, a person next to Zhou Tianming whispered, ”Second Brother, isn’t that Ye Qing the person Northern Martial Zen mentioned?”

”Which person?” Zhou Tianming replied in a low voice; he was seriously injured and hadn’t regained his strength yet.

”The successor of Li Changqing, remember? Northern Martial Zen mentioned before, asking everyone to find the closed-door disciple of Li Changqing.” The person whispered, ”I recall that person seemed to be called Ye Qing.”

”Is that so?” Zhou Tianming immediately perked up and said solemnly, ”Now that you mention it, I think Big Brother did mention this. Is this kid the one Northern Martial Zen is looking for?”

”Regardless, why not call Northern Martial Zen and find out?” The person whispered, ”If this really is the person Northern Martial Zen is looking for, he will definitely come to deal with him personally. Then, we can just watch the show from the side; there’s no need for us to take action, Northern Martial Zen will take care of all of them, there’s no need for us to intervene!”

”Exactly!” Zhou Tianming was overjoyed and quickly took out his phone, saying, ”I’ll call Northern Martial Zen right now!”

At the same time, in another place outside Humeng City, Northern Martial Zen and Prince Wan Yan were standing in confrontation. The feud between the two wasn’t shallow either; last time, Northern Martial Zen caught Ye Qing, but got tricked by Ye Qing, helping Ye Qing and Handsome Fatty Wang dig up Prince Wan Yan’s ancestral grave. Prince Wan Yan had always held a grudge for that. This time, they just happened to meet again as if destined enemies, right after arriving at Humeng City.

The two had been standing here for a while. Prince Wan Yan was extremely furious, but he had no intention of making a move. After all, he came for the Sun Shooting Bow. If he got into a mutual fight with Northern Martial Zen here, there would be no point in trying to seize the Sun Shooting Bow after!

Just as the two were in a standoff, Northern Martial Zen’s phone suddenly rang. He took a step back, pulled out his phone, and took a glance. Seeing it was Zhou Tianming’s number, he felt slightly impatient but still answered the call.

Opposite him, Prince Wan Yan frowned at Northern Martial Zen, contemplating whether to do something. However, he watched as Northern Martial Zen’s expression suddenly changed. He was puzzled, and at that moment, Northern Martial Zen abruptly hung up and said coldly, ”Wan Yan Zong, the matter between us will be settled later. I have something to attend to at home; I won’t waste time here with you!”

With that, Northern Martial Zen turned and ran without the slightest hesitation.

Prince Wan Yan frowned slightly but said nothing, turning to head in another direction. Before obtaining the Sun Shooting Bow, he had no plans to engage in a fierce struggle with Northern Martial Zen.

On the other side, Northern Martial Zen ran to the back of a small hill and hid, waiting for a while to ensure that Prince Wan Yan hadn’t followed. Only then did he turn and stride in the direction Zhou Tianming mentioned. He was in the outskirts of Humeng City, not very far from Zhou Tianming and the others, and soon caught up with them.

Zhou Tianming was waiting for Northern Martial Zen’s arrival, and upon seeing him, he eagerly approached, smiling ingratiatingly, ”Mr. Bei, you’re here!”

Northern Martial Zen ignored his reverence and asked coldly, ”Where is Ye Qing?”

”He just injured us and took Liu Mubai and those women from the Zhou Family to Humeng City,” Zhou Tianming quickly responded.

”Which direction?” Northern Martial Zen asked in a deep voice.

Seeing Northern Martial Zen’s demeanor, Zhou Tianming dared not waste words and promptly turned to point in a direction. Without another word, Northern Martial Zen chased after that direction, not even glancing at Zhou Tianming and the others.
