Urban Martial Saint

Listening to the words of Northern Martial Zen, the Earl turned his head to glance at the Bishop, frowning, ”What is he saying?”

The Earl didn’t understand Huaxia language, and had been fighting Northern Martial Zen for so long without understanding a word.

The Bishop understood some Huaxia language, he frowned, looking at the Earl, ”He said he has no grievances against us, is that true?”

The Earl was furious, angrily said, ”Ridiculous, he killed the people we sent to clear the way, how can it be no grievance!”

The Bishop had just arrived here, so he wasn’t clear about the specifics. Hearing the Earl say this, he too was visibly angry, turned to look at Northern Martial Zen, and said in a deep voice, ”You killed our people, and still dare say no grievances. Today, I will personally punish you!”

After finishing, the Bishop lunged at Northern Martial Zen again. The Earl next to him was equally unwilling to be outdone, took a step forward, and reached out to grab Northern Martial Zen by the neck.

The Earl had fought with Northern Martial Zen for so long without gaining any advantage. Earlier, when teaming with the Bishop, they finally injured Northern Martial Zen. At this moment, it was a great opportunity for him, if he could take advantage of it to kill Northern Martial Zen, he could naturally hold his head high. However, if the Bishop gets ahead and kills Northern Martial Zen, he would be utterly humiliated. Those unaware might say he fought Northern Martial Zen for over half an hour without winning, while the Bishop killed Northern Martial Zen within a few moves, wouldn’t that mean he is inferior to the Bishop?

There was inherent hostility between the Earl and the Bishop, and this Bishop had become a favorite with a few higher-ups in recent years, making the Earl even more displeased. This time, seizing the opportunity, he wanted to kill Northern Martial Zen personally to enhance his reputation.

Both acted simultaneously, both intent on ending Northern Martial Zen’s life, the intensity of their attack could be imagined.

Northern Martial Zen was injured, already not as agile as before. Now attacked by two masters with strength similar to his, Northern Martial Zen could hardly move, let alone dodge.

Seeing the Bishop and Earl closing in on Northern Martial Zen, Northern Martial Zen surprisingly did not intend to evade. He took a deep breath, and when the two were less than three meters away, he suddenly let out a howl, opened his mouth, and spat out a mouthful of blood. However, this mouthful of blood was not directed at the Bishop or Earl, but onto his own body, leaving the Earl and Bishop momentarily stunned.

As the blood landed on his body, Northern Martial Zen’s body faintly emitted a red glow, and his physique seemed to enlarge significantly. The original height of 1.8 meters suddenly shot up to over two meters, standing there like a small giant. Moreover, the wound on his abdomen ceased to bleed, his aura soared tremendously, exuding a terrifying and daunting presence.

The Bishop and Earl, both not weak, immediately sensed something was wrong, and quickly retreated. However, they were too close to Northern Martial Zen, it was already too late to retreat. Northern Martial Zen abruptly reached out, and caught them both.

”Die!” Northern Martial Zen bellowed, slamming them heavily to the ground.

Even for powerful figures like the Bishop and Earl, being thrown out by Northern Martial Zen like this, they were both dizzy and vomited a few mouthfuls of blood. Staggering to get up, they nearly had no hesitation, instantly turned and fled.

”Run!” The Bishop didn’t forget to shout, calling his own men to retreat.

Their subordinates had long sensed something was off and were already planning to run. Seeing the Bishop and Earl fleeing now, they certainly wouldn’t stay, turning and fleeing desperately without daring to look back. After all, the current Northern Martial Zen was truly terrifying, even the Earl and Bishop were no match for him, let alone others.

Northern Martial Zen stood still, not intending to pursue, instead watched the Bishop and Earl’s group go far away, then turned and staggered away. After just a few steps, his body emitted several crisp sounds, and then shrunk back to the previous size. His appearance now seemed extremely exhausted, as if all his strength had been used up, his entire person seemed aged much, even his hair whitened considerably.

The power of this move was indeed terrifying, but the price for using it seemed quite high. This move was performed entirely at the cost of consuming lifespan. He didn’t refrain from chasing the Bishop and Earl because he didn’t want to, but because he didn’t have the energy to pursue them, as the duration of this move wasn’t long.

With his body restored to its original state, Northern Martial Zen dared not linger, gritted his teeth and rushed forward. Running several kilometers into a small mountain group, he found a concealed spot to hide, sat cross-legged on a rock, and began to meditate to recover his strength. The depletion from that move was tremendous, at this moment he was weaker even than an ordinary Martial Artist. Now, forget the Bishop or Earl, even if Ye Qing came over, Ye Qing could kill him!

Northern Martial Zen had just sat down when suddenly a cold laugh sounded in his ear. Northern Martial Zen immediately looked up, only to see a person standing on a huge rock not far from him, the cold laughter had emanated from this person.

Upon seeing this person, a change swept across Northern Martial Zen’s face, and his eyes finally showed panic. Because this person was none other than his deep-seated enemy, Prince Wan Yan!

Usually, when Northern Martial Zen was not injured, Prince Wan Yan already wanted to kill him. Now that he had fallen to this state, how could Prince Wan Yan possibly let him go?

”Wan Yan Zong!” Northern Martial Zen gritted his teeth, fixedly staring at Prince Wan Yan, and said in a deep voice, ”You actually... you actually followed me!”

”Without following you, how could I kill you?” Prince Wan Yan jumped down from the boulder, walked slowly to Northern Martial Zen, and sneered, ”Northern Martial Zen, it seems the grudge between us should be settled. You destroyed my Wanyan Family’s ancestral tomb. Using your life to pay this debt is already considered merciful!”

Northern Martial Zen’s face turned icy, and he gritted his teeth, ”Prince Wan Yan, you despicable scoundrel, only taking advantage of others’ difficulties. If I weren’t injured, would you dare to speak to me like this?”

”Hahaha...” Prince Wan Yan laughed aloud, ”Taking advantage of others’ difficulties? Is it I who take advantage or you? You ambushed my Wanyan Family when I wasn’t in the Northern Desert, destroying my Wanyan Family’s ancestral tomb. If you calculate it, you’re much more despicable than me. If I were at the Wanyan Family, would you dare to ambush us?”

Northern Martial Zen was at a loss for words; indeed, he had attacked the Wanyan Family first and couldn’t refute it.

”Prince Wan Yan, killing me won’t do you any good either!” Northern Martial Zen said in a deep voice, ”You alone cannot win against Helian Tiehua. This is the headquarters of the Seven Steering Committees of the Hong Alliance; do you really think you can take the Sun Shooting Bow by yourself?”

”Northern Martial Zen, do you really think you’re the only master left in the world?” Prince Wan Yan said coldly, ”The Sun Shooting Bow is about to surface, and many people are eager to compete for it. This time, the Seven Steering Committees of the Hong Alliance can’t control the situation, nor can Helian Tiehua hold everything in check. One more of you doesn’t make any difference; one less of you doesn’t matter. On the contrary, if I kill you now, there will be one less person competing for the Sun Shooting Bow with me, saving me effort later, why not?”

Seeing Prince Wan Yan being so unyielding, Northern Martial Zen grew anxious. Without any strength now, he couldn’t hold out for a few rounds against Prince Wan Yan. Was he really going to die here like this?

”However, before killing you, there are a few questions I want to ask.” Prince Wan Yan coldly sneered at Northern Martial Zen, ”When you fought those foreigners just now, you used a technique that seemed like Blood Descent from Southeast Asian Sorcery? It rapidly increased your strength, but your body also got bigger. What on earth was that?”

Northern Martial Zen gritted his teeth and refused to answer Prince Wan Yan.

”Northern Martial Zen, do you think if you don’t speak, I really can’t find out?” Prince Wan Yan coldly said, ”I don’t wish to involve others in our grudge. But don’t test my patience. If you speak, I guarantee this matter ends here. If you don’t, I’m afraid your son and your family must come out to settle the score!”

”Prince Wan Yan!” Northern Martial Zen roared angrily, ”Disaster should not involve family, are you not a man?”

”Hmph, I, Prince Wan Yan, never claimed to be a gentleman, nor do I care for your saintly speeches. Just answer my questions honestly, and I assure your family will live safely. If you don’t, I’ll just have to ask them. Your son and family, who have been with you for years, should know what martial arts you practice!” Prince Wan Yan slowly threatened.

The fire in Northern Martial Zen’s eyes almost exploded, but he had no solutions now. If Prince Wan Yan really decided to target his son, his family wouldn’t stand a chance.

Angry as he was, Northern Martial Zen remained silent for a long time before reluctantly conceding. He gritted his teeth, staring at Prince Wan Yan, and said in a deep voice, ”Prince Wan Yan, if I answer your question, will you really spare my family?”

Prince Wan Yan said smugly, ”Rest assured, I will keep my word!”

”Why should I believe you?” Northern Martial Zen replied in a deep voice.

Prince Wan Yan frowned slightly, paused, and said, ”You don’t have to believe me, but you could try and see if I don’t fulfill my word, whether I would kill your family or not!”

Northern Martial Zen grit his teeth, remained silent for a long while, then let out a regretful sigh. He was utterly powerless now and truly dared not try. If he didn’t answer, Prince Wan Yan would inevitably kill his family. But if he did, perhaps there was still a slender chance of survival for them.
