Urban Martial Saint

Feeling the disturbance behind him, Prince Wan Yan had to step aside to avoid Ye Qing’s Wu Hong Dagger. Naturally, this move also caused his strike to miss Li Changshan.

Seizing this opportunity, Li Changshan immediately tried to retreat. However, Prince Wan Yan was faster, grabbing his neck and hoisting him up. At the same time, he also captured Ye Qing.

”Die, all of you!” Prince Wan Yan shouted loudly, slamming Ye Qing’s and Li Changshan’s heads together with a fierce force.

With the formidable strength of Prince Wan Yan, the collision would undoubtedly lead Ye Qing and Li Changshan to a disastrous outcome, their brains shattered!

”Prince Wan Yan!” At this moment, a long shout came from afar: ”If you kill them, I’ll make sure you spill your blood here today!”

Prince Wan Yan frowned, pausing his kill. He turned his head and said coldly, ”Who dares to speak so boldly?”

The Yelu Family turned their heads too, just in time to see over a dozen vehicles racing towards them. In the leading convertible car stood a middle-aged man in his thirties or forties, looking at Prince Wan Yan from afar, and shouted loudly, ”It’s me, Gui Jian Chou, Du Jiang!”

The Yelu Family exchanged glances, and a sliver of hope arose in their hearts: Isn’t this Gui Jian Chou Du Jiang, the subordinate of Helian Tiehua? He is in charge of the docks here, wielding considerable power in this area. Why has he come here?

Prince Wan Yan had met Du Jiang twice before but had treated him courteously each time. After all, Du Jiang is a disciple of Helian Tiehua, and though Prince Wan Yan claims to be the King of the Northern Desert, he would not dare provoke the general’s subordinate lightly. Moreover, him killing in the Meng District already constituted an overreach. While he often claimed not to fear Helian Tiehua, the appearance of Gui Jian Chou Du Jiang indeed made him somewhat uneasy.

”So it’s Brother Du!” Prince Wan Yan casually pressed the acupoints of Ye Qing and Li Changshan, tossing them aside, and turned around with a smile, ”Long time no see, Brother Du, you remain as impressive as ever!”

”Prince Wan Yan, cut the crap,” the over a dozen vehicles had already reached the scene. Du Jiang jumped directly off the car and walked straight towards Prince Wan Yan, loudly saying, ”You should know that this is no longer the expanse of the Northern Desert, but my Meng District. Prince Wan Yan, daring to kill across borders, are you confident enough to challenge General Helian?”

While speaking, Du Jiang had already reached Prince Wan Yan. However, he didn’t stop by his side for even a second, directly bypassing Prince Wan Yan and heading straight to Ye Qing and Li Changshan.

”Ye brothers, are you okay?” Du Jiang bent down, softly asked, seemingly very concerned about Ye Qing’s condition.

This was Ye Qing’s first time seeing Du Jiang; he wasn’t sure why Du Jiang was treating him with such an attitude. He nodded slightly, ”I’m okay!”

”That’s good!” Du Jiang nodded, extending his hand to help Ye Qing up, ”Let’s go, I’ll patch you up first.”

Seeing Du Jiang’s series of actions from behind, Prince Wan Yan’s face twisted with rage.

”Du Jiang, what do you intend to do!” noticing Du Jiang supporting Ye Qing, Prince Wan Yan immediately stepped forward to block them, ”This man is my sworn enemy; today I must kill him. Brother Du, don’t tell me you’re planning to interfere?”

”Wan Yan Zong, you’ve crossed the line!” Du Jiang coldly eyed Prince Wan Yan and said sternly, ”I advise you to quickly think about how to explain this to General Helian. If Ye Qing survives, perhaps General Helian might overlook this. But if anything happens to Ye Qing, humph, I’m afraid the Wanyan Family might just end here!”

Prince Wan Yan furiously grabbed Du Jiang’s collar, ”Du Jiang, are you trying to scare me? Do you think flaunting Helian Tiehua’s name will intimidate me, Prince Wan Yan?”

”If you aren’t afraid, go ahead!” Du Jiang retorted, ”After all, I’m no match for you. If you want to kill me, you can do it anytime. However, Prince Wan Yan, don’t blame me for not warning you. This is the Meng District, controlled by the Great General. Right now, over three hundred of my subordinates are in this town. If you kill me, do you think you can escape? Even if you do, one order from the Great General, and ten thousand disciples will enter the Northern Desert. How long do you think the Wanyan Family can hold on? Just because you call yourself the King of the Northern Desert, do you really think you can dominate the Northern Desert? The Great General is simply disinterested in dealing with you, but if he wanted to destroy you, a single finger would suffice!”

Du Jiang’s words were extremely assertive, leaving Prince Wan Yan’s face darkened. Yet, each word struck a chord in Prince Wan Yan’s heart. Indeed, the Great General had such a reputation in the Meng District, not only due to his unrivaled strength but more critically because of the ten thousand disciples under him. With the Great General’s might, wiping out the Wanyan Family would indeed be a breeze!

Prince Wan Yan said gravely, ”Du Jiang, this is a personal vendetta between Ye Qing and me. Does the Great General also wish to meddle?”

”We can’t interfere with your killings in the Northern Desert. But here, it’s the Meng District!” Du Jiang replied coldly.

Prince Wan Yan said in a deep voice, ”Fine, I’ll take him back to the Northern Desert!”

Du Jiang glared and said, ”Don’t you understand my words? This is the Meng District. Once he entered the Meng District, he became our guest. If you take him back from our Meng District and this matter gets out, where will the Great General’s reputation be?”

Prince Wan Yan shouted angrily, ”All you care about is protecting this man named Ye, isn’t it?”

”That’s right!” Du Jiang showed no hesitation.

”Hmph, to put it plainly, this is your own intent!” Prince Wan Yan shouted furiously, ”The Great General is currently busy handling the Twelve Green Halls. How could he have time to deal with such a trivial matter? Du Jiang, do you really think that with just a few words you can scare me, Wan Yan Zong? Today, I will kill him right here. I don’t believe the Great General will make a big fuss over a mere Ye Qing and come to the Northern Desert to seek revenge on me!”

As Prince Wan Yan spoke, he reached out to grab Ye Qing.

With a loud shout, Du Jiang pushed Ye Qing aside, and, like a mad bull, charged fiercely at Prince Wan Yan.

Prince Wan Yan frowned and casually pressed on Du Jiang’s shoulder, easily pushing him aside. However, Du Jiang seemed to have gone mad, charging again, spreading his arms wide to embrace him.

In that moment, the crowd around had seen clearly. Du Jiang’s strength was actually quite average, not even as good as Yelu Ying. But he fought like a madman, recklessly risking his life in a desperate struggle against Prince Wan Yan.

Although Prince Wan Yan was furious with Du Jiang, he didn’t dare to deal a heavy hand as Du Jiang was under Helian Tiehua. He only wanted to push Du Jiang aside and first kill Ye Qing. However, Du Jiang’s maniacal struggle completely entangled him, leaving him no time to get close to Ye Qing.

While the two were in this deadly clash, suddenly, a group of people charged down the distant street, blocking both ends of the street tightly. At a glance, there were at least several hundred people, each armed with bludgeoning weapons like clubs and steel pipes, creating an overwhelming momentum.

Undoubtedly, these were Du Jiang’s subordinates. Du Jiang managed the Beimeng River dock, a key location connecting the Meng District and the Northern Desert, commanding quite a few people. With so many people, even if none knew martial arts, if they truly surrounded them, Prince Wan Yan would only be left with running away!

Seeing the several hundred people rushing over, the members of the Yelu Family’s blood also boiled with excitement. Although these people’s capabilities were lacking, their momentum was indeed motivating.

”Du Jiang, do you really think these people can scare me?” Prince Wan Yan shouted coldly.

Du Jiang’s eyes were bloodshot as he shouted, ”Even if you can escape, not one of your subordinates will leave here alive today!”

Hearing this, Prince Wan Yan’s followers felt a bit panicked. They could all see that if they were really surrounded by these people, they would be in serious trouble and absolutely unable to escape.

Prince Wan Yan slightly frowned. Du Jiang’s words were clearly disrupting the morale of his side. His subordinates were looking at him with panic, evidently afraid he would kill Ye Qing, leaving them in a perilous situation.

However, Prince Wan Yan truly did not want to miss this opportunity. He had attempted to kill Ye Qing several times, only to fail at the last moment each time, making him realize that killing Ye Qing was no easy task. Yet, the grievances between him and Ye Qing had grown deeper, and Ye Qing’s abilities were advancing so quickly. If Ye Qing wasn’t killed swiftly, he feared Ye Qing would become powerful enough to deal with him. Thus, he had made up his mind to kill Ye Qing this time.

After a moment of silence, a cold glint flashed in Prince Wan Yan’s eyes as he prepared to risk everything to first kill Ye Qing. Just then, a voice suddenly came from afar: ”Big brother, it’s done. Wan Yan Ming is now in our hands!”

”What!?” Prince Wan Yan turned his head sharply in response.

”Good!” Du Jiang laughed aloud, looking at Prince Wan Yan, and said in a deep voice, ”Wan Yan Zong, there is no need for extra words. Make your choice. Save your son or kill Ye Qing!”

Prince Wan Yan gritted his teeth, locked his eyes on Du Jiang, and said in a deep voice, ”Du Jiang, don’t think you can deceive me. My son is on the other side of the Beimeng River, where members of the Wanyan Family are guarding. How could you possibly catch him?”

”Wan Yan Zong, are you really so clueless?” Du Jiang said coldly: ”I knew long ago that Ye Qing was coming and already sought instructions from the Great General, who personally dispatched a team of knife-bearing guests to support Ye Qing. Hmph, the knife-bearing guests personally trained by the Great General—you’re probably clearer about their abilities than I am. Capturing one Wan Yan Ming, how hard could it be?”

This statement left everyone present somewhat stunned, Prince Wan Yan’s eyes widened in surprise, staring at Du Jiang, and said in a deep voice, ”You... you knew long ago that Ye Qing would come? How is this possible? How did you find out?”
