Urban Martial Saint

The two of them turned their heads, and the Martial Artist chasing behind Ye Qing immediately furrowed his brow. From the look in their eyes, it was clear that the two of them were prepared to make a move. This was troublesome, as the Martial Artist had to keep Ye Qing alive. If these two wanted to kill Ye Qing, wouldn’t the Martial Artist have to fight them off to protect Ye Qing?

However, despite his frustration, the Martial Artist had no choice in the matter now as things were already set in motion. Ye Qing sprinted forward, getting closer and closer to the two. Those two, too, were running towards Ye Qing, clearly intending to make a move. Seeing their speed, the Martial Artist was taken aback, as they were even faster than Ye Qing. Clearly, these two were formidable opponents!

Seeing the two running towards him, Ye Qing couldn’t help but feel elated. He no longer cared about how strong these two were; the key was to get them to fight with the Martial Artist so he would have the chance to escape.

Both sides were moving quickly. The distance of seven to eight hundred meters was closed within less than a minute. The two in black were already prepared, and when they were ten meters away from Ye Qing, they suddenly roared, dropping to the ground on all fours like beasts, and charged at him. When they were four or five meters away, they leaped, extending four sharp claws directly at Ye Qing!

Having witnessed how they previously killed those wolves, Ye Qing was prepared for their claws. As they jumped, he immediately utilized the steps of the Heavenly Gangs and Northern Dipper, taking two steps with an incredibly strange movement technique to avoid them.

The two never anticipated Ye Qing’s movement to be so bizarre, and Ye Qing managed to evade between them before they even realized it.

Having avoided the two, Ye Qing didn’t pause for a moment. He turned and shouted towards the Martial Artist behind him, ”These are the two you’re looking for, kill them!”

Of course, Ye Qing yelled this in English, allowing the two in black to clearly understand his meaning.

Initially, these two intended to pursue Ye Qing, but upon hearing his words, they immediately turned their focus to the Martial Artist behind them. It seemed that this Martial Artist was the true threat coming after them.

”What are you saying?” The Martial Artist, not understanding English, didn’t comprehend what Ye Qing had just shouted. Seeing the two in black glaring at him, he was puzzled, unaware of what Ye Qing had conveyed to them to suddenly turn their hostility towards him.

”Move aside!” Facing the two in black, the Martial Artist sternly said, ”My target is him; I don’t intend to be your enemy!”

The two in black exchanged a look, and one of them said, ”You deal with him, and I’ll kill the other!”

”Got it!” The other black-clad person responded and lunged directly at the Martial Artist, claws reaching for his neck.

Meanwhile, the other in black immediately turned to pounce towards Ye Qing. Having come to Huaxia for illicit activities, they naturally didn’t want to be discovered. Seeing Ye Qing and the Martial Artist, their first instinct was to kill them to silence any witnesses.

”Courting death!” Seeing the man in black dare to attack him, the Martial Artist shouted angrily. He kicked out before the black-clad person’s claws could reach his neck, landing a strike on the man’s chest. With a miserable scream, the black-clad person flew backward, crashing heavily to the ground.

The other person, who intended to deal with Ye Qing, was shocked to see his companion swiftly defeated. He turned his head, astonished at the Martial Artist, unclear about what had just happened. Generally, they looked down on Huaxia’s martial artists, believing it wouldn’t be difficult to kill the two. But unexpectedly, their own side suffered first!

”What’s going on?” the second person in black hurriedly asked.

”This... this person is a bit eerie...” The first, struggling to get up, had a surprisingly resilient body. Despite taking the Martial Artist’s kick, he managed to stand.

The second black-clad individual fixed his gaze on the Martial Artist and suddenly shouted, ”Attack together, kill him!”

The first person let out a long howl at the sky, sounding like a wolf’s cry. Then, he suddenly leaped up, akin to a starving wolf pouncing at its prey, directly lunging towards the Martial Artist.

As he struck, the second black-clad figure also lunged forward immediately, both claws aiming at Northern Martial Zen’s chest.

The speed of these two black-clad attackers was extremely fast, and their style was completely different from the martial artists of Huaxia. They didn’t bother with any techniques; it was a completely savage assault. Their method of attack included no defense whatsoever, like a beast pouncing on its prey, disregarding their own flaws entirely. However, the strength and speed of these two were terrifying, with hands resembling wolf claws. If they caught someone, it would undoubtedly result in a gut-wrenching disaster.

Northern Martial Zen, though powerful, dared not be careless when faced with such an onslaught. Especially upon seeing the form of their claws, like Ye Qing before, he was astonished and couldn’t comprehend how these two people could be like this, with hands akin to claws.

He didn’t hesitate, quickly stepping back to avoid their attack. Simultaneously, he reached out both hands, grabbing onto their garments and intending to throw them aside.

However, the clothing of these individuals was nothing more than loose black attire meant to conceal their forms. Grabbing onto their clothes only tore off their outer garments, revealing their true appearances.

Ye Qing, observing nearby, was stunned upon seeing their coats pulled off, his eyes widening with incredulity.

Originally, hearing them speak fluent English, he thought they were white people from the West. But after their coats came off, Ye Qing saw that the reality was vastly different from what he imagined. Their faces could hardly be called human; they were covered in black-grey bristles—note, bristles, not beard—growing on their faces, foreheads, and even necks!

Ye Qing had never seen anything like it; he was completely taken aback and couldn’t recover for a while.

Northern Martial Zen fared no better than Ye Qing, having never seen such a thing. He was momentarily bewildered by their appearance.

These two not only had hands resembling beast claws but also had heads that looked beast-like. That hairy face, those protruding fangs, made them look nothing like humans, more like human-shaped beasts.

When their outer garments were ripped off, the two were visibly shocked as well. But they quickly regained composure, howling like wolves as they charged at Northern Martial Zen again. This time, they were even more desperate than before, clearly intent on tearing him apart alive!

”What are these things?” Northern Martial Zen exclaimed while dodging their attacks, ”Southeast Asian sorcerers?”

Ye Qing, still astounded on the side, couldn’t figure out why these two appeared this way. But upon hearing Northern Martial Zen, his heart skipped a beat. Could it be that these two really were Southeast Asian sorcerers?

Ye Qing had encountered Southeast Asian sorcerers before, known for altering their bodies to practice powerful sorcery, often transforming themselves to resemble beasts. Just like the Blood Dragon couple Ye Qing met before, the man had modified himself to be similar to a chameleon to practice Invisibility Sorcery, blending in by using Color Changing Liquid.

Could it be that these two were also sorcerers, who practiced a sorcery transforming them into animals? Judging by their form, they resembled fierce wolves; did they perhaps modify themselves into wolves?

With that thought, Ye Qing calmed a bit. Having encountered those with Invisibility Sorcery before, he understood that anything was possible with those Southeast Asian sorcerers. If they truly transformed themselves into wolves, it wouldn’t be surprising. However, these two were white, not Southeast Asian sorcerers. How could they practice such bizarre sorcery?

Moreover, Master Naikun was already dead. Why were these sorcerers entering Huaxia? Instead of rescuing the Corpse Ghost Dragon, they came to Humeng City to vie for the Sun Shooting Bow. What was happening? Whom did they mean by ”Bishop”? Was there another strong force among the Southeast Asian sorcerers other than Master Naikun?

Ye Qing couldn’t find answers to any of these questions. He didn’t linger there, either. With these two entangled with Northern Martial Zen, Ye Qing seized the opportunity to quietly slip away while Northern Martial Zen couldn’t attend to him. He realized that these two were no match for Northern Martial Zen. Once Northern Martial Zen dealt with them, he’d be next. Ye Qing couldn’t afford to waste any time.

Northern Martial Zen watched Ye Qing stealthily slip away, trying several times to chase, but these two clung to him like beasts, fighting desperately, making it impossible to pursue. Moreover, their bodies were so resilient that despite several blows from Northern Martial Zen, they simply rolled on the ground before getting up to fight again, seemingly undying.

Given the formidable power of Northern Martial Zen, their ability to endure enforced his curiosity about their true identities.
