The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Shu Yu looked up, ”What’s wrong?”

”Yu, I came up with a suggestion on this trip, and I wanted to ask you if it’s feasible.”

”What suggestion?”

Daniu coughed lightly, still a bit embarrassed, ”I was thinking, you already have a shop in Changjin Prefecture, cooperation with the Liao Family in the Capital, and in the southwest, you’ve already arranged for others to sell on your behalf. The family workshop is getting bigger, and in the future, our shops will surely be more and more, right.”

Shu Yu raised her eyebrows, after Brother Daniu went out, his ideas became bolder.

For him before, having cooperation with the Capital and a shop in the prefecture was already a big business for the family. Now he’s already thinking about opening shops all over the country?

”Well, yes, so...”

”So I was thinking, shouldn’t we also set up a fleet of vehicles specially responsible for transporting goods? On this trip, I also saw some big merchants who have their own delivery fleets, sending and receiving goods north and south. If Lu’s has more shops in the future, always hiring others for delivery is not cost-effective, and if the timing doesn’t match, it would cause trouble and delays, which would lead to big losses. If we have our own fleet, it would facilitate delivery and we could also bring back local specialties, wouldn’t it be killing two birds with one stone?”

Shu Yu laughed, sure enough, after Brother Daniu went out, his mind broadened.

Actually, even if Daniu didn’t mention it, Shu Yu had plans, and she already had someone in mind.

So she nodded, with a serious expression saying, ”Brother Daniu is right, it’s time to form a fleet.”

Daniu’s eyes slightly brightened, he couldn’t help but straighten his back, his confidence instantly boosted, ”Right, Yu, you think so too? Then when we return, we can start organizing it. But it’s not easy to recruit people, it’s best if they’re skilled.”

”How does Brother Daniu feel about Yuan Gui?”

”Yuan Gui?” Daniu blinked, ”You mean Aunt’s recognized grandson?”

”Yes, he was originally an escort, brave and good-natured. Just lacks experience, if possible, I’d like to ask Uncle Meng for help, if he agrees, to guide him a bit.”

Daniu clapped his hands, ”Great, that would be the best, and then recruit some strong individuals to help transport goods. If we offer higher wages, surely many will come, preferably more escorts. Hehe.”

”This matter is not urgent, we can discuss it later. Brother Daniu, it’s getting late, and you all must be very tired from the dusty journey, go rest in your room first.”

”Alright.” Daniu was indeed very tired, not physically, but mentally.

After all, it was his first time going out, and he brought so many goods with him, even with experienced escorts in the team protecting them, he was always worried, afraid something might go wrong.

On this journey, he was almost always on edge, now that the items were safely delivered, he could finally relax and have a good night’s sleep.

Daniu returned to his room, while Shu Yu still sat at the table writing and drawing.

Now that the goods had arrived, the opening could proceed.

The opening date had already been selected, Shu Yu roughly calculated that Daniu could arrive these two days, so she chose the date as February 29th.

But she also feared there might be some unforeseen delays on the road, so she chose March 8th as a backup date.

February 29th is better than March, so it’s decided on that day.
