The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1908: Chapter 1908: Zhou Tiedong as the Staff Candidate

Have we found a person for the staff position?

”Who?” Meng Yunzheng realized right after asking and said, ”Are you talking about Zhou Tiedong?”

”Yes.” The first person that came to Shu Yu’s mind was him. ”He has experience as a staff member. The Boss Lady next to the grocery store used to say that he was sweet-talking and diligent, and the business was particularly good when he was a staff member, with many repeat customers. I’ve interacted with him, and he doesn’t seem to have any character issues. He quickly understands my meaning when I speak, making communication smooth. He’s a very good candidate. However, we still need to ask him if he’s interested.”

In case Zhou Tiedong had a failed experience as a staff member, he might have developed a mental block and just wants to marry Wang Yue in Tuqiao Village and focus on family life. I can’t force him.

Meng Yunzheng nodded, ”But one staff member isn’t enough, right?” This shop isn’t small.

”Indeed, it’s not enough. We need at least two staff members and a shopkeeper as well.” It’s worrying. Looks like we need to start recruiting.

”Then let’s recruit. Recently, many experienced shopkeepers have returned home after being implicated, so it shouldn’t be very difficult to find someone.”

Shu Yu raised an eyebrow, right, in Changjin Prefecture, if there’s one thing that’s not missing, it’s talent.

Seeing so many shops closed, you can tell that many shopkeepers and staff members are also unemployed. She can take the time while the shop is being renovated to get to know more about them.

”Okay, then I’ll write a recruitment notice and post it here. We should be able to find someone suitable.”

Since the shop has been decided, Shu Yu no longer delayed and quickly informed Qi Lie of her chosen shop. Upon seeing it, he found it matched precisely with Meng Yunzheng’s initial description.

Oh wow, these two...

Qi Lie found himself once again impressed by their compatibility.

But with Shu Yu having chosen a shop, it meant she would be staying in Changjin Prefecture for quite a while, which meant Meng Yunzheng wouldn’t be leaving either. Thinking about it, Qi Lie felt quite pleased.

He swiftly completed the paperwork for Shu Yu, and the auction of the other shop deeds could also be scheduled.

The next day, Shu Yu stayed in the inn to start writing a plan, drawing a simple layout of the shop, and drafting a letter to be sent to Dongan Province. If the business were to open soon, they would need to inform Brother Daniu to get the goods ready for transport.

Shurui and Erniu were very surprised upon hearing about Shu Yu’s plans to open a shop here. The two of them decided not to venture out that day and stayed in the inn to help.

On the third day, Shu Yu returned to Chenggu County with Ying Xi.

She initially thought she would be in the prefecture city only for a few more days after dealing with Chen Bing, so she hadn’t brought much.

Now that she would be busy with the shop and staying there for a while, it’ll be necessary to bring over change of clothes and personal items.

Also, on the old lady’s side, she needed to say a few words, arrange the following matters, and bring her father along.

Shu Yu also needed to make a trip to Tuqiao Village to see Zhou Tiedong.

Shu Yu returned in such a hurry that only a day had passed since the old lady returned. They were all stunned to see her.

They had thought she would spend more time with her granddaughter-in-law to nurture their relationship, so seeing her return suddenly made them wonder if they had quarreled.

Shu Yu felt a mix of amusement and frustration, explaining to the old lady about the shop opening in Changjin Prefecture, and added regretfully, ”Grandmother, when you go back, I won’t be able to accompany you. The preparations for opening the shop will take some time, so when you go back...”
