The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1820: Chapter 1820: The Second Young Lady of the Tao Family Is a Werewolf

Trying to harm others but ended up getting herself involved?

Shu Yu suddenly became interested, and asked eagerly, ”What’s the matter? Who did she try to harm?”

Meng Han pursed her lips, ”Tao Ling.”

Shu Yu couldn’t immediately recall who Tao Ling was, until Meng Han lowered her voice, ”She’s my second cousin, Tao Qin’s sister.”

The Zhang clan had three children; Tao Ling was the second, and the child in the middle was always more neglected.

Moreover, whether it was the Zhang clan or Tao Feili, both were typical of favoring boys over girls.

The first was a girl, and although they were disappointed, it was their first child, and they had the joy of being new parents, so they spent more effort on her.

Therefore, Tao Qin was relatively favored at home, but after a year, the second Tao Ling was born.

When they saw it was another daughter, Tao Feili and the Zhang clan were extremely disappointed, and naturally treated her poorly, almost raising her without care. Usually, when busy, they would tie her with a rope to a pillar, and if she didn’t cry or make a fuss, sometimes they’d even forget to feed her.

Later, the third child was born, a son, and the Tao couple adored him endlessly.

The youngest son was the darling of the entire family from birth, and everyone had to pamper him. At that time, Tao Qin already had some ambition, knowing she had to step aside for her brother, but he was a little rascal, so she promptly moved to the Meng family’s escort agency.

Under the guise of wanting to be with her aunt, she practically lived at the escort agency for most of the year.

This was the reason why Meng Han disliked her intensely.

With Tao Qin gone, only Tao Ling, who was a year younger than her, remained at home to take care of her brother and became the one he vented his frustrations on. Not only that, Tao Ling also had to work, taking care of all the household chores due to her parents’ laziness.

So, when they grew up, others looking at Tao Qin and Tao Ling standing together wouldn’t think of them as sisters.

Many even thought Tao Ling was Tao Qin’s maid, especially since Tao Qin didn’t bother to explain, and quite enjoyed this state.

Growing up in such an environment, Tao Ling developed a silent and reserved personality, was very low-key, and spoke softly. To outsiders, she appeared timid, docile, and somewhat dull.

Meng Han also thought so, and since she didn’t like her uncle’s family, she interacted even less with this second cousin, only knowing her presence was extremely low.

Who would have thought that such an inconspicuous girl was actually a werewolf?

Meng Han said, ”After relations between the Tao family and ours broke down, their days gradually became difficult.”

Their family originally had some savings, but that day when rebels broke in, they not only took away Tao Feili, but also took the opportunity to loot, stealing most of the money they had hidden.

At that time, Zhang clan wasn’t too worried, thinking they could seek help from the Meng family if they were out of money. As long as she cried poverty a few times in front of Ms. Tao, they wouldn’t go hungry.

Who knew Uncle Meng would be so resolute this time in cutting ties with the Tao family, leaving Zhang clan’s plan shattered.

To top it off, the head of the family, Tao Feili, died. Other common folk who were robbed by mountain bandits received compensation from the imperial court, but her family did not. The authorities wouldn’t even pursue Tao Feili’s crimes, let alone grant them any pension.
